We found Rover's Ranch from a coworker of my husbands and we are so glad! They treat our dog as their own and are such wonderful people. We love the big outdoor feeling where dogs can be dogs. Our guy is so happy and never misses us when he's there. That makes us feel great and we know we can depend on RR. Big outdoor yards and nice sized kennels with indoor/outdoor portions. They allow the dogs to rest around lunch when at daycare. Very affordable and we love they always remember our pup and are happy to see our guy. You feel like a family member not just a $$$. I love that they let the dogs be dogs. It's just a great place! P.S. We tried a couple other places in Wilmington and it wasn't a good fit. Over priced and snooty people = not a good fit! Our dog is a Labrador he just wants to be happy and enjoy the outdoors. RR delivers where other local places fall flat with their fake turf grass and small runs. Katy and MaKayla provided wonderful care for my two golden retrievers, keeping me consistently updated on their activities and playing/walking them more than they even get when I'm at home with them. I could tell by the updates that the girls genuinely loved my dogs and appreciated their unique personalities, which was such a comfort as I have a very difficult time leaving them! They even went "frog hunting" with the pups every night in the backyard. I came home after two weeks to a spotless house, and they even bathed the dogs while I was away. I also appreciated that with this service comes advance scheduling, coverage for cancellations, etc., all that you can't get with a Rover sitter and what I couldn't take a risk on with such a big trip. Not only did help me raise the funds by sharing my fundraiser, she grew to love both my dogs. I never leave the house unless my boyfriend is home because my dog has separation anxiety and destroys the house. The new dog has grown severely attached to me, I assume from whatever trauma he faced on the streets. The new one is not crate trained and screams and soils himself if you put him in one. I have a lot of medical conditions that I used to have to cancel appointments for if I my boyfriend was out of town for work. Now I am able to call PGPC and they sit with my boys for the hour I'm gone and make sure they are safe! I honestly would be lost with out them.

But, sorry to say, you won't see Rocket Dawg there. There is one staff that's a keeper. I believe his name is Zack. Hope you can clean it up so Rocket can come back to see Zack.

I took my dog in for a dental cleaning with a written estimate of $539.99. When I arrived for the…read moreappointment, the total had jumped to as much as $656.97 because of a fecal test (apparently due since April) and a heartworm test -- neither of which was ever communicated to me between the estimate and the appointment. Both were things I would have agreed to with notice, but springing them on me the day of, after I'd planned around the original estimate, is not how a well-run practice operates. The lack of communication continued through discharge. My dog came out of general anesthesia and the tech who released him didn't verbally review feeding instructions or what to monitor for overnight -- it was only in the packet. At my previous vet, the veterinarian personally called after a dental to let me know how it went; here, I didn't hear from the vet at all. The results of the heartworm and fecal tests weren't reviewed with me either, even though the whole purpose of the heartworm test was to clear my dog for his flea/tick prevention refill -- I had to ask about both the result and the medication myself. One more practical note: they're consistently booked out at least two weeks. If your pet has an urgent issue, don't expect to get in quickly. The care itself wasn't incompetent, but for the premium they charge, the communication and follow-through were well below what I'd expect. I won't be bringing my pets back.
