Brought my 4mo old mini golden doodle in for her first groom ever. The gentleman was so nice and advised it's not recommended to cut prior to 6mo on this breed due to damaging their natural coat. He did advise they can brush out all her extra fur, and bathe her and clip her nails and all that. But, it would certainly be much easier to cut her hair as most groomers would do, but not the best thing for her. I was so appreciative! Turns out he has 3 Golden Doodles himself, so I definitely came to the right place. My honey is Soooo fluffy! :) I love it! Was also expecting to pay much more, so that was nice too! read more

We took our 5 month old shih tzu mix in today. We were told they couldn't cut him too short because he was too young so I said yeah go ahead and cut him as short as you reasonably can. They didn't cut his body at all.. i said I want his snout to stay long and they completely hacked it up. They asked me when I picked him up if he was a boy or girl and what his breed was... We took our 9 month old long haired cat for his first grooming. Based on reviews, we thought they would do a good job. NOPE! The hair trim was choppy. I asked them to trip his body hair to match the length of his shoulder area & barely trim his long white main. The main was chopped too short, and the body hair was still long and different lengths. His nail trim was worse. At least two were cut too short, showing dried blood on his paws, other nails completely missed leaving long sharp claws. Never going back here! read more

they raised prices and didn't say anything until after they had performed the worst hatchet job of a cut i have ever seen on a pet before. see pics attached, instead of combing hair out on the ears in face the just cut it off. No reason to do this , dogs make regular visits for grooming and hair was not matted at all. The new owners have put in double the stations in the store and have hired inexperienced grooms and jacked up the price , on top of everything else after confirming the phone number they were supposed to call twice, they called the wrong number when they were finished so the dogs sat in cages for an extra 2 hours before i called them to ask what the hell was going on. if you care about how your dogs are treated let alone how they look , don't ever come here , 2 stars just because they both were alive when i got them out of there. read more

Update: I've been working with happy tails for a few months now and we take the matted, scared shelter dogs for a free groom! These selfless people donate their time to groom the dogs so they get their forever homes! At times if they know the dog is fearful of people they will sit with them and gain their trust before they just start cutting away! This groomer is a dog loving place! They would NEVER just groom your dog for a paycheck! They groom all the dogs and cats with love! Your pet is safe in their hands EVERY time! I've been going to them for years and love them! Reasonably priced plus they actually care bout your animals. One of my pups had special needs and needed to rest for periods of time during cutting and they did just that. I was so unhappy with the way they treated my dog and the horrible haircut she recieved. I didn't even recognize her when I went to pick her up. Her hair is so choppy. Her little face is uneven and they did a horrible job. It's embarassing to show her in public, that is how bad they did. My grandson actually cried because she was not adorable anymore. The worst part was they gouged her! She had a deep cut on the inside of her leg. They said it never bled, which I call BS on and they super glued it. I would NEVER take my precious girl there again and I would NEVER recommend taking your pet there. read more

Worst grooming place I've taken my pup to, ever! I usually groom my dog but didn't have time as I was preparing to leave for a trip the next day. My pup is a Maltese breed with beautiful, fluffy fur coat that is silky. I told them to keep a puppy cut with a round face. Instead, they shaved my poor pup's fur near to his skin so now he just looks like a rat. They cut his whole face off. It's been almost a month and I'm impatiently waiting for his fur to grow back. I called several other places today that could not schedule me for 2-3 weeks out, so I called Happy Tails and they offered me a cancellation spot today. Price is good, less than I have paid elsewhere. However, whatever scent they must use on the dogs permeates the entire store. I almost walked right back out as I walked in. I should have followed that instinct. My supposedly clean dog smells VERY strongly of old lady musk perfume. It is making me sick. I'll have to bathe my dog to get rid of the smell they put on him...after I paid them to l bathe him. I won't be back. I'd rather pay more for a clean smelling dog. read more

Its unfortunate that I have to leave 1 star. I left my sunglasses on the counter and made a u-turn in the parking lot to go back for them and within a minute they had disappeared. I then drove home and called and spoke to Chris and he said they were not there and even confirmed no one had been in once I had picked my dog up which leads me to one conclusion. You do the math. I would never bring my dogs back!!! If they have no integrity and can't be truthful in my opinion.....I sure wouldn't give them anymore business. It's unfortunate that I someone would want someones prescription sunglasses but this is what the world has come to unfortunately. I've taken my dog a couple times to this location I never had a problem with this location with older management but I'm not sure what was discussed to the groomer when I took my dog in when I just asked for the same groom as last time and if they can trim my dogs nails as much as they can because they were getting long and the guy at the front stated yes we can get as low as possible and I said yes just not too short but short enough . I should of noticed something was wrong when I went to pick him up and the guy that went to the back to bring my dog to me because it was taking the guy a few minutes to bring him to me and When I heard my dog crying in the back I should of thought something was wrong but I thought ok maybe he just got scared or something but when I got my dog home I noticed something was off I have a jack russell and anyone who's ever had a jack russell knows there naturally hyper dogs and when he came home he was having a hard time walking and wouldn't jump up on the couch or even my low profile bed and when he would he would start crying then when I was able to look at his paws I noticed there so short you can't even see white from the nails just the pink of his skin they cut his nails so short he can't even grab a bone without crying !! Also his belly was cut up in a couple places I don't recommend this place and will not be bringing my dog back !! If I could give a 0 star I would read more
