Grooming is just not good. I do not know why it is so difficult for them. We have brought our dog…read morein multiple times to get groomed and nearly every-time they forget or just neglect an area. This time we put in the notes "focus on paws and sanitary" since that's what they always seem to neglect. I even told them face to face when we went in to focus on those areas. When we picked him up his paws were awful. They said he peed while they were blow drying him so they had to stop. Why would you wash, blow dry, and then come back to trim the paws? That was clearly a lie since we were the ones to bring it up in the first place. He did not get a sanitary trim either and I'm guessing they didn't do the anal gland expression since he left streaks on our couch a day later. When we brought him back so they could finish, the lady behind the counter was pretty rude to the other employee. "Well are they going to pay for it??" The other employee seemed to be taking the blame when she wasn't even the one who trimmed and bathed him the 1st time. I can tell you the reason he peed is because he was caged up for 3 hrs. Yes, he is anxious going in there but the blow dryer didn't scare him. He puts his face right into a leaf blower at home. Then when we brought him back we had to wait 45 min. We have had horrible grooming experiences here. Pay lots of money for minimal effort. Employees seem to be doing the bare minimum and no one is held accountable. Go to Chews 4 Paws down the street and they will take care of your dog 10x better than Petsmart. Plus they don't have attitude.

They care for your kids like they are their own. I never worry about my boy. Kristin that works up front is just a doll. And Ruth always seems to take care of my stubborn boy. She never complains. If you want to go away with no worry... please come and do a tour... and I promise you ... this will be your pets home away from home.

I know that my dogs will be treated well and looked after just like I would at home. (With probably more attention...lol). The staff is amazing and they care for your pets like they are their own. I never worry about my boys when they're here. Dawn is amazing and can answer all questions. All the staff is open and friendly and are good at soothing the nerves of nervous pet parents. There are some add on's that are extra but completely worth it. My dog loves the water park! Thanks again to the staff at Second Home. I recommend them to every pet parent I know.

I was referred to this business by a local Boston Terrier Facebook group. Their reviews were…read morestellar, so I reached out to them. I needed to board my pup while I went on vacation and passed their initial free assessment and complementary play date, filed his health records with them etc. A week later I dropped him off for his week of boarding. When I arrived home I quickly dropped off my luggage and immediately went to pick him up. Once I arrived, excited to see my little dude they brought him out. He was not himself. Not excited, and lethargic. I figured he was just tired from his week of playing with other pups. As soon as I put him in my car he fell asleep, and once home he did the same thing, which for a 6-month-old Boston Terrier is unheard of. The following day was the same, I chalked it up as he must have had a great time playing and was still exhausted. The next day he was extremely ill, coughing, diarrhea and weak so I rushed him to the Vet. Their diagnosis was an upper respiratory infection a fever and Kennel cough. My pup is completely vaccinated and was perfectly healthy when dropped off. I understand things happen, but this was infuriating to me. When I picked him up I was curious why he was just handed to me and shuffled me out the door, now I understand why. That same attitude was received when I called to inform them of his condition. The young lady just said "I'll tell the owner and hung up" and that was it. I wanted to like this place, but on top of their boarding fees, I now have medical bills due to their facility and lack of action when he was clearly sick while there, due to an illness he contracted while there, and hopefully, he recovers soon. The photo attached is him once loaded in the car after picking him up. Clearly not a 6 mo old Boston excited to see me after a week away. I am beside myself, and angry to say the least.

Furry friends said that they would have a driver within 1-2 hours, called at 8 am after I found my…read moredog outside. I waited till 10 to call them only to be told that all of their drivers called out and to transport him ourselves to their office. That is an extremely dangerous task for someone who is untrained for that and also in the middle of mourning the death of their dog. How is it that I pay $419.07 upfront over the phone just to be left hanging? I had to go out and get 6 ice bags just to make sure he wasn't cooking in the Arizona heat. Thank god I found a better company that came within 45 minutes and talked my family through our grief. They are terrible scammers taking advantage of grieving pet owners.
