We finally found a place in Battle Creek that has good subs and great pizza! Stopped in there for the first time after stopping at Hobby Lobby which is a few doors down. We ate in and ordered a couple subs which were very delicious so the next time we ordered a pizza. We had to reheat it when we got home become don't live in Battle Creek it the pizza didn't loose anything in the reheating--it was still impressive! Great crust, just the right amount of toppings and plenty of gooey cheese! read more

Stopped here with the hubby on a little shopping trip. Cute, quaint little spot in a strip mall. Great menu options. Reminds me of Mancino's at home.... and that's a HUGE compliment. I got the 1/2 roast beef grinder lunch deal, came with a tossed salad, chips and a drink. My husband got the lunch deal also but he tried the Club. They were both delicious, and so big we had to get boxes lol! The cheese was oooey gooey and oh so delicious chips were crispy and salad was just the right size. The people that worked their were super friendly and helpful. They had plenty of seating, super spacious and comfortable. Very convenient lunch spot for when you are out shopping. They are also a part of GrubHub. Order and they deliver right to you at home or to work! Definitely a place I'll come to again when we're in town! read more

This place is kinda tucked away in the corner of the plaza attached to Hobby Lobby. It doesn't make sense because I go through that lot fairly frequently and I've never seen it before. Looking at other reviews, this place has been here for over a year. WTH Anyway my daughter and I stopped into here for a quick late lunch bite. It was Friday around around 2pm and this place seemed to have a constant flow of customers. You order at the counter and then grab your drinks, napkins, silverware and stuff nearby. Have a seat and they bring the food to your table. Afterwards leave it all there, they will go around and pick up your mess. We got a couple half sandwiches and it comes with some plain ruffle chips. Our drinks were extra. The entire meal for both of us was around $15. The inside is very clean and decorated in the common green white red Italian flag colors. Local historical photos line the walls including one I thought mentioned Mancino's down the road (maybe related). The sandwiches were delicious. Chips are whatever. Will definitely be back to try more on the menu. I did notice a couple employees going back and forth from the kitchen to the register as well as out to the seating area and either not changing gloves or just not wearing them. Hats hairnets and beard covers were pretty much obsolete too. I only mentioned it because I saw it in a few other reviews. I'll be back no problem read more

This place has some excellent homemade pizza and grinders. It does have a similarity to Mancino's, but I think the food is much better a lot better atmosphere as Mancino's has gone fairly main stream. If you go, I definitely suggest trying the garlic cheese bread. read more

I have had both pizza and grinders from here. The grinder was fantastic! More than I could eat in one sitting, super tasty bread, stacked up toppings. The pizza was good but not spectacular, I will probably continue returning just for the grinders. My one major issue here is that while standing in line waiting to order, we noticed that there were no hairnets, few hats, and no gloves being used in the kitchen. That's fine for pizza, which is cooked (although I did see a pizza being handled with bare hands after being cooked), but it kinda grossed me out that my sub on the previous visit was probably handled with bare hands. read more

In addition, here are my thoughts regarding their COVID practices: DO NOT EAT HERE If YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT COVID-19. All of the employees were not wearing masks or any sort of face coverings. Good pizza, it rivals Volcano pizza. The crust was crispy the sauce was tasty. Had the supreme the amount of topping was spot on. The old man, who has to be the manager, is so disrespectful to the delivery drivers. I have witnessed it on numerous occasions. I have never seen anything like it in any other establishment. I like Cavoninis but after witnessing the behavior of this manager, I can say I will never support their business again. It's disgusting. He treats the drivers like an annoyance. They are there doing their job, delivering food to their customers, and it seems like he is annoyed to deal with them. Next time consider ordering from other local establishments who appreciate the business. read more

We tried Cavonis a few times. The Pizza can be very good(sometimes). Inconsistent on the toppings, not usually enough sauce so there is way too much dry crust to eat. I hoped for better because it is so convenient. I will drive across town to Steve's in the future. They are always excellent! It's is worth the 40 minute drive. read more

Just received my order and the pepperoni pizza was over cooked and dry. The "garlic toast" is actually pizza crust so like a pizza (pretty tasty), the $9 Greek salad is small and they completely missed the 8" supreme pizza I ordered. Nothing to write home about! First and last visit. read more

I have no complaints, tried it the first time the other day and totally loved my Blt.. I am a bacon lover so I paid extra to have extra bacon and it was GREAT... It took a little while to get the food, but thats because everything is not made up ahead of time. I got a half a sandwich...and I had a hard time eating all of it. My grandson got a whole sandwich.. and wow... it was so incredibly huge it could feed four people. He did manage to eat three of the four quarters though. I can't say anyone was overly friendly or talkative, just business like... but that is not really required for me as long as the food is good. And this was better than good. ..it was great. This will be my very fav sandwich shop. I had another fav that I have went to for many years.. but it seemed like the other place was decreasing a bit of the toppings (this was over time)... and so when I found Cavonis the other day (similar type of sandwish shop) I have now switched my loyalties to them... good job.... you will see me gain! read more

I've been here a few times. I love Italian food. Grinders and Pizza are just like breathing air to me. So far what I have had needs some flavor. Just cheese and turkey on a bun, no flavor to it. It's done pretty quick, though. I've tried the pizza as well, just not that great. It has a potential to be great, but it is just ok. It may be an acquired taste to others, they seem to enjoy it. My niece and I went for lunch today. I had a ham and Swiss grinder, she had the Italian. Bread is fresh made daily. These were awesome sammies. The owner was also nice enough to let us have a sampling of the meat sauce. Their recipes are from grand parents. Over 100 years old. Needless to,say, the sauce was wonderful. The Garlic Toast with Cheese is AMAZING!! It is basically a better version of breadsticks. Ordered the House Special Pizza and this was delicious too.
