This was my first time at a Texas roadhouse, and it definitely was an experience. The all famous biscuits game as a surprise I didn't realize that the butter is insanely sweet. The meat is just OK. I will say the servers were very friendly and welcoming, and as a main rest, stop point, I know that it can get busy. But it's great how efficient they were and we were able to see a group of five, which is awesome. Overall, just a Texas roadhouse, you definitely get good bang for your buck.

Great food! My husband says they make the best burgers. Their filet is delicious and so is the grilled shrimp. Our grand daughter loves their chicken fritters. My only complaint is that they only have 4 handicap accessible seating places! 4 tables to all the booths and high tables that take it up! When they first opened, they had 3 times the amount of tables. Hopefully the next remodel will include more tables again!

I joined the waitlist at 6:28 with a 35-45 wait time. I texted at 7:03 and waited in the car until 7:13. After walking in due to frustration, the woman at the desk asked if I got a text. Knowing how this goes I already explained how I had been waiting since 6:28. I stood there after they "checked me in" at 7:16 and watched 4-5 groups that were checked in AFTER me get seated. I finally spoke with a manager at 7:30 (so another 14 minutes after being checked in. We are now 1 hour and 2 minutes of waiting for a 35-45 minute quote). Also while standing there after being checked in they were still telling walk ins 30-40 minutes. How many walk ins did you seat during the time I waited? He was nice and explained how those people might've joined the waitlist before me. Then why didn't I get told an ACTUAL wait time. I was sat at 7:35. 1 hour and 7 minutes after joining the waitlist Tip for the business. If you're getting overwhelmed and can't seat people. Stop taking the online reservations. Only accept walk ins until you can actually stick to what you say. I would've went somewhere else if I had saw a 1 hour and 5 minute wait time.

Food wasn't that great. I think I prefer sizzlers over this place! That's just me. Decor and staff were nice and pleasant

I'm always hopeful but heck this IS the North. It seems something falls short. At least for our meals City BBQ was fantastic! Wife had pulled pork sandwich, baked beans & potato salad. Potato salad had that southern type whipped potato coating on the potato chunks. Me? I had two meats. Great pulled pork & chicken. Tried ALL of the BBQ sauces. If anything negative was to be said, would be the meats were quite juicy. Oh Well! I'll suffer!! Excellent coleslaw. Not too much vinegar or attempt to cover old cabbage with too much cream. Perfect balance. Now my big surprise for here. Collard greens. PERFECT side dish!!! Then there's Bob at the register. Friendly, willing to offer information on the menu. Too many now days could care less. But HE was upbeat & made you feel like you choose the right place to eat. Also every employee working there had a nice smile. Simple business benefit that doesn't cost anything to implement. I did not get the name of the nice employee who brought me my walking staff, but he did it with another nice smile & a warm laugh. I will come back to CITY BBQ to see if they continue to give the same kind of service & excellent BBQ with that extra attention paid to those telling side dishes.

I was welcomed by all the staff and my order was taken care of by who I assume was the manager. All the staff were very nice and friendly, but he went out of his way to take care of my order and to make sure that I had everything I needed. If I owned a restaurant I would want this guy representing my business. The ribs I ordered were very good. I will definitely be back.

Now I need to go and get TNTed windows before someone tries to shoot me while entering or leaving this place, which would somewhat TNT my experience. And would be TNTamount to murder. If you thought TNT was all about Major Crimes and Rizzoli & Isles, then do I have a surprise for you. Welcome to one of the best BBQ places in the USA. What to get: Pulled Pork, Rib Tips, Cabbage, All The Sides, Banana Pudding How to tickle Barbie: A Touch Of her Sole If you thought TnT was Trinidad & Tobago, or explosives, or Tushies N Tails (a weird group of butt fetishists), you were wrong. Well you were right, but none of those TnTs matter now. Not now that ATOS exists in Kalamazoo. Because, ladies n gents, it's the best soul food in the Great White North, the best food in the state of Michigan, and one of the 5 best BBQ places in the entire USA (including TX, KC, TN, NC and so on). No, for the billionth time, I'm not exaggerating. One portion could literally feed a family. And will cost next to nothing. All the more reason for you to come check it out. So this BBQ in Kalamazoo (the town and the food genre rhyme - see, it was meant to be - hmm, I wonder if Katmandu has good BBQ) was one of the best things I've ever eaten. And the best value-for-money meal I've ever had, with notable memorable service as well. Firstly, they recommended the rib tips with green beans - both among the most delicious things I've ever eaten. At only $5 for a mini, which was enough food to feed a family, I just can't. Wow. I went marching right back in for a pulled pork sandwich, and with that they gave me some spectacular cabbage - even better than the green beans - and a side of spaghetti which was wonderful, if a little sweet (like my ex). Even if you're a vegetarian, the sides are worth driving hours for. The sandwich had coleslaw (sort of like sod's law), and enough pulled pork to feed an army (not that I would want to feed an army, I'm a pacifist). It was perfection. They slipped me some yumsy sweet cornbread and the most spectacular banana pudding I've ever eaten. Food-wise that is. In general, your boyfriend's Banana Pudding is incomparable. I don't know how they do it, but these people cook better than pretty much anyone. Maybe because Marvin Berry works here (Chuck's cousin), and he hired someone that really cooks. The tragedy is that most will never know what perfect BBQ is, because they skip places like this, since it's in Kalamazoo, in a beauty mart. You skip this, you skip life itself. And no I've NEVER exaggerated in my LIFE. They seemed to figure out without me saying a word (I never do) that I write reviews, because they kept whispering about what I need to eat, in order to give them 5 Stars. I'm pretty sure they didn't know me from Yelp - perhaps they saw me taking pictures of a hot dog in the parking lot (from Ray Ray's, also amazing, and the other K-zoo place you must try). Anyway, that might be why they gave me half their store for cheap prices, but even then, the given to other patrons, masses. Let's just say that they give you more meat than me on a weekend night, and more sides than a dodecahedron, or even a triacontagon, and if you decide to make out with me, I promise I don't haveacontagion. Now I'm gonna let the teens close out this review: If you don't know what the fuss is ABT Then you need to come here AFAIC And you need to do it ASAP (But first send me your ASLP) Gotta go pee, I'll BBIAB OK that was quick, I'm BAC I need some BBQ, so DAE? Cause this place is amazing, and we've GTG If you all say no, that's the EOT And I'll go by myself then, IAC But you love BBQ, right, IIRC I remember you gave me a KOTC You should've my face with my BEG But then you never did MMB I'm over it now, so it's NBD If your boyfriend wants to come, tell him MYOB Wait, you dumped him? Really? OIC He did what to your sister? OMG Anyway, I think we're getting a little OT So yes, BBQ is sort of P2P But the owner lady is such a QT And for what you get it's practically FREE Damn, no acronym! You can blame ME Anyway, if you wanna come, TG And we can get anything you WTB I'm sure she'll remember me and say WB And if mine's better than yours, WTT? I can't wait to taste yours and see WUG And if I don't show up, YHBT In terms of miles, it's about 53 But you're closer than me, so YMMV After you try this, YTMND Then we can hit my place, and N&C At which point it's time to GNOC In fact, right now, I'm NIFOC I know you think I'm just THOT But I can hook you up with CID Or really anything, what's your DOC? If you want some, then WTTP? Crap I gotta go, now I'm TWD At least for now we're both KPC I hope we don't end up on Dateline NBC Now let's go get that BBQ from TNT WHAT!

Inside, was clean and the condiments were well ordered. I was surprised that the drink was free with the meal. But, the menu was posted along the walkway to the cash register and the selection was confusing. It was to the point where we were just going to order a couple soft drinks when we met Sarah. Sarah had been talking with a couple of other guests and coworkers until she noticed us. She hurried over and started explaining how the ordering process works. I was really thankful for her proactive and professional response when she saw a problem. Explaining that we are diabetic, she helped us design our meal in a very health conscious manner. The food arrived while we were still getting our drinks. She was incredibly aware of all the things happening around the business and worked to keep the customers happy. We got the two meat platter with macaroni and cheese, and baked beans. It was all very well prepared and presented nicely. The place wasn't too busy on Friday mid-afternoon. Very pleasant. We and Sarah exchanged farewells and we left, happy and satisfied. I hope that when management reads about Sarah they will realize that she is the epitome of customer service. I think Sarah would be a great company wide trainer. Susannkae@yahoo.com
