Overall decent pizza, breadsticks, boneless wings, and mozzarella sticks. Ordering system feels dated, not great communication for order confirmations. They called after estimated delivery window to confirm order received and switch soda selected. Delivery behind estimated timeline about 15minutes past window given.

High prices for long waits and small portions. While the food itself didn't totally suck, I just don't think it's worth the wait.

My brother (ribs lover), who celebrates his birthday every year at Famous Dave's, said this will be the new spot from now on! The star of the show was our server (didn't catch his name but he has 6 kids ranging from 24 - 2!!!) and the pork belly! Just those two alone will be the reason I go back, probably next weekend. However, everything we ate was seasoned well and really tasty. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the brisket was a little dry. I blamed it on the holiday but it seems to be something they may want to address since it wasn't just me. But other than that, the food was pretty durn good. My only other complaint was that there is no seating while you're waiting for your table. I'm sure there's a reason behind it..especially once I saw the carry out line down the seating area. So I would suggest putting you name on the wait list before arriving and making sure your entire party is there before getting out of the car.

The ribs were burnt on the outside and very tough to bite into. To make matters worse, the sauce was watery and tasted mostly like plain vinegar. The coleslaw is of the shredded/vinegar variety. It is a wonderful accompaniment for the pork! The menu includes creamed corn casserole - a comfort food that Grandma served. It was good, but Grandma "seasoned" hers with bacon - lots of very crispy, thick-cut bacon. I almost order the Mac & Cheese, but the recipe is creamy and I am more of a baked/firm kind'a guy. The baked beans smelled wonderful ... next time! Will I return? YES! I will probably grab a carry-out container and enjoy my BBQ in the park. Closed: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Go early. I don't come around often because the hours are odd (they are closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday), and the meat goes fast, so by the time I get off from work, a lot of the options are sold out. The last time I was there, I was lucky enough to get the last Brisket Meal, and the guy behind me was bummed out because he wanted it too. I've tried the Dirty Rice (rice with pork, brisket, kielbasa, and chicken), Mac & Cheese, and the Brisket. I highly recommend the Brisket and Mac & Cheese. The meal comes with a pound of brisket, coleslaw, and one side. The brisket is tender, juicy, and delicious, with enough meat in the meal for 2-3 people. They also sell baby back ribs, smoked chicken, and pork shoulder.

The bar was filled with people waiting for to go orders that took almost an hour to fulfill. The people dining in were waiting for 30+minutes, including myself, as a table of two. They did not serve me sweet potato muffins, for what is now my fourth visit in a row. They ultimately took it off the check-- obviously. But for the fourth time now, I have not received these so called muffins I'm unsure even exist. XD. the ambiance was chill and I love the set up, there is just no room for overflow. Place just feels like it needs a good scrub; that's how it left me feeling. You also will need to change your clothes after cause you can't escape the smoke. Not sure how anyone volunteers to sit on what looks like a nice patio while the meat smoker is sitting right next to it. Even inside feels a bit grimey and smoky but if you like that smell you'd be in heaven. Hostess was nice but the waitress seemed a bit on edge/ feminist/ snotty. Not too friendly and made some comments that made me wanna let her know she can eff off at any time. Commentary about who's paying between a husband and wife or claiming you get two beers out of one line (that's a new one for me... I wouldn't want two different types of beer coming out of the same "line") and that the fact I didn't like the flat, "soft" ipa I sampled, as it tasted old or just not very good, trying to just prove me wrong... seemed like she had it out for me as man. Also wouldn't allow my kid to have chicken and fries instead of ribs from the kids menu so had to order a full 1/2 smoked chicken instead. Don't care for her attitude at all. Food was eh. Couple of bright spots- beans were smoky and sweet, good mix. The chicken, both wing and 1/2 were overly smoked and the skin became hard in a lot of parts. Had to scrape the chicken off the skin to eat it. Mac and cheese was good too. Cajun slaw was just vinegary without much of a Cajun punch. Queso brisket dip was on the sweet side. Didn't really get much brisket that I could find or taste in the dip. We couldn't finish all our food; just got sick of the flavor/ taste. Interesting sauce with the rock n rye Faygo bbq sauce. Could definitely taste the pop influence. Their XXX spicy sauce was okay; wouldn't say it's ghost pepper or unbearable. It's got some after spice which I liked. Really like the attempt they are making with the place and I hope they get their meats from the neighboring butcher as I've heard good things about the market place meats in the same strip. Oh they also charge you a 3.5% admin fee with every card purchase... p

For my first visit here I got their basic cheeseburger where I added Bacon and a second patty upgrading from a 1/4 pounder to a 1/2 Lb burger. My Burger was cooked to perfection and probably the juiciest burger I have had in this area (get extra napkins(: ). It was very tasty and clearly in the upper echelon of the burgers I have tried. At $10.50 which included the two upgrades of bacon and 2nd patty was a deal in my opinion especially when you consider the quality of the burger. Relative to staff and facility, the staff was very friendly and checked in on me twice during my meal to include the owner which is amazing when you consider this is a counter order operation. Facility itself is clean and large with a lot of tables, both indoor and outdoor dining. This restaurant has an open kitchen/grill that is visible to the dining area offering great sight lines into their operation which I actually enjoyed. The burger looked fresh and was served hot, which made it even more appetizing. The beef patty was juicy and cooked just right. It had a nice grilled flavor that wasn't too greasy or dry. The cheese was melted perfectly over the top, adding a creamy texture that blended well with the meat. The lettuce, tomato, and pickles were fresh and added a nice crunch. One thing I liked most was the balance of flavors. Nothing overpowered the burger, and every bite tasted consistent. The sauce added just the right amount of tanginess without making the bun soggy. Overall, I would definitely order this burger again. It was filling, flavorful, and worth the price. Arkin's is a small carry-out only place that sells sandwiches, dinners, and meat by the pound. The sides are à la carte; except for the dinners. Before we even get to the food, let's talk about the staff. They are some of the sweetest and friendliest people you could ever meet! Even with the place being busy, they didn't rush us to order or to get out of the door. They chatted with us and made us feel welcome - as if we'd been going there for years! And every time we return it's like talking to old friends. It's so very refreshing in the current social climate! Now the food: 'Delicious' is too weak a word to describe it! I got the chicken sandwich, which came with slaw and jalapeño pickles. The sliced chicken breast was broasted and had a nice crispy skin. The seasoning was so good I didn't even want to put sauce on it! The slaw was awesome and I didn't detect mayo, so I was able to enjoy it. I added a side of greens, which were delicious. Not everyone can make greens.... My husband got a brisket sandwich - also with slaw and jalapeño pickles included. He got a side of potato wedges, which were broasted and seasoned to perfection. I almost regretted my greens choice .. almost.... The piece of brisket my husband let me taste was awesome - and I hate brisket; but not Arkin's! We filled our bellies that day and went back the next day to buy a dinner for my dad plus some meat by the pound for us to enjoy over the snowy weekend. Funny, they didn't seem surprised to see us back so soon! LOL. My dad enjoyed his meal too, and we gave him directions to the restaurant. Our other return visits have been equally as pleasant.
