This is a great bar for food. Homemade everything and great service, plenty of space for larger groups, and you don't have to make a reservation. Perfect. They have an area that is more inside, and an area with lots of windows as well. The mushroom soup they make on Fridays and Saturdays is an absolute must - it is so delicious, I'd return just for that. Made with fresh mushrooms, cream and butter; it's perfectly seasoned and came out piping hot - I just wish I'd gotten a bowl rather than a cup! Topped with yummy seasoned croutons, it's honestly one of the best soups I've had at a restaurant, let alone a bar. If you love mushroom soup, you must go get this. We both had margaritas, which were on the sweet side, but not overly so, and they make their mix. I had the patty melt and fries, and my Mom had the turkey reuben and sweet potato fries. Both were absolutely top notch. Excellent fresh bread, fresh cut potatoes fried crispy, and high quality meats. My burger was actually seasoned and so juicy; perfectly cooked medium well. The turkey on the reuben is real - none of that processed lunchmeat garbage. Everything came out fast and was hot and fresh off the grill and out of the fryer. Peterlin's is a perfect bar lunch, and their entree menu also looked really good - they have a ton of options, though not very vegetarian friendly, so be aware of that. If I lived closer, I'd for sure be a regular, and whenever I'm in Farmington, I'm definitely coming here.

The salad with salmon rocks! The Cuban sandwich is unlike those served in Little Havana (Miami). It is certainly tasty, but is better described as inspired-by ... the pork is cubed, the ham is deli sliced, the bun is a regular hoagie roll and not pressed. The kettle chips are made in-house and not over-salted, thank you very much. The service is prompt and attentive. The dining room and restroom were both clean. Will I return? Yes.

We came here Friday night with some friends. I've never been here but we have done carry out. She's been here for work and things but we've just never made it here together. During the second power outing snowstorm in a week, we were treated to some snowyhunder and lightning during dinner. We arrived first, and were seated right away, ordered beverages until everyone else showed. I ordered the Whiskey Salmon, with mushroom soup, she had the Buffalo Shrimp Pasta with a side salad. She really liked the Buffalo Shrimp, and I did like the salmon but the glaze was too sweet and had no whiskey flavor. All in all it was good but I would try something else next time.

It's a big spot. We sat on the bar side. Kelsey is waiting on us. She is pleasant. We started off with homemade guacamole, Asian salmon salad and a Turkey cobb. Both salads with sweet chili dressing on the side. I added one fried goat cheese to my Cobb salad. The guacamole was okay. The corn chips were super fresh and really crunchy and slightly salty. The guacamole didn't look so homemade to me. The Asian salmon salad was good. The sweet chili dressing is quite sweet. This was my first Cobb salad. I should have read the menu closer as there was quite a bit of small, my husband said crunchy bacon bits on one side of the salad. It was a pain to have to pick them all out, but that was my bad and my miss on reading the contents of this salad. The salad otherwise was decent. None of the dressings did it for me. The fried goat cheese is good, slightly warm too.

Fries were scratch made with a uniques shape that had visual grooves that I had not seen at any other restaurant. Aside from the unique shape they were nice and crispy and quite tasty in their own right. Cleary a superior burger and fries versus other restaurants that are in the area. Aside from the food I had their Old School Margarita and their Deadwood Old Fashioned. The Margarita was just OK in my opinion. Basis of the drink was 1800 tequila which I am not a fan of and Cointreau. Seemed to lack the Agave Forward notes I look for and lime component was not as bright as I like it either. However, the Deadwood Old Fashioned with the Woodford Reserve Bourbon was outstanding and definately one of the better made ones in the area. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance about it with rustic western vibe which I really like. There is also a large outdoor dining area to take advantage of the nicer days which is something to consider if that is what you are looking for. Relative to staff, they are so friendly and outgoing with excellent follow up throughout the meal and clearly a strength of this business. Overall a great dining option in the Northville area and worth checking out if you are in the area.

Why haven't I tried here sooner?…read more Toasted oaks is located inside of the renaissance hotel located by 12 oaks mall parking lot. There is an entrance for just the restaurant which makes it easier to enter. There is also close parking next to it. I had no wait on a Friday evening, which I'm sure isn't common, but I was also there about1 hour 30 minute - 2 hours to closing so it could be why. I was still given great service and a wonderful cooked dish. I ordered a mocktail (virgin spring in wing) that had was supposed to have smashed strawberries. I barely tasted the strawberry (I did not have some in the drink) as the soda water overpowered everything thing else. I probably should have said something, but I didn't. If I order next time I will. There were many great things on the menu, but I opted for the bone in pork chop. While I waited I did ask if they had bread service and they have corn bread. First I was like "hmmmm idk". Once it came to the table I loved it. I usually don't butter my corn bread, but I tried their butter with it and I enjoyed the pairing. It was perfectly cooked well enough how pork should be, but still tender so it wasn't dry. It had this whiskey sweet fruity glaze over it which was delicious. I would have preferred it on the side, but that's just a personal preference. The green beans weren't soggy, they had a slight crisp to them. A great flavor. I opted out of the loaded baked potato and just got a plain with butter , sour cream and chives. Overall for what I ordered I didn't think the price to be too unreasonable. However, this place can get pricy with other things on the menu. Their menu might also change because I seen photos of this place and those items weren't on the menu. I would come here again for a dinner alone, with my spouse and even with friends.
