I more recently learned that Chicago was also know for the tavern style thin crust pizza and heard…read moreabout Rosati's online and also saw them drop off pizza to a local TV station while working out at the gym. We wanted to add this to our list to try. I liked how they had a special mesh under the deep dish pizza and placed a protective plastic cover over the sauce. I image the mesh was there to prevent the pizza from getting too soggy and help stay crisp and the plastic sheet was to prevent the sauce from coating the top of the box. It seemed to work and both pizzas came home hot and delicious despite the 25-30 minute car ride home during rush hour. I liked the thin crust and how they slice it into little squares. It is reminiscent of our favorite pizza at Kalahari. I enjoyed the deep dish very much, spinach is our topping of choice for all deep dish pizzas. While all prices seem high right now, it was more cost effective than Pizzapolopis for both the thin crust and the deep dish. Now to me, this is not really a competition between those two places. While they are both Chicago style deep dish, this place has a very distinct style. The crust is not as deep with not as many layers and the sauce is different, but I like them both but I liked the price here even better. Hope it stays this affordable. Same with the thin crust, the other place has a flakier crust to this place and this one was was more crust and less biscuit like. Personally I would like to come back. I am curious how their beef tastes. I love Portillo's and they have a few sandwiches that are very similar. I would love to try their ricotta on the thin pizza, it looks so good online. I would love to try the calzone and Stromboli, their fried ravioli and their tiramisu. So I have a lot on my wish list for next order.

I planned this trip because we were going to be in the area. So we ordered online ahead of time . We got there at like 9:10pm and it was ready on time. My mom took one bite and was like "oh! I have to have another Italian beef sandwich this is so good" so I went right in and ordered and waited. Mind you I ordered between 9:10-9:15pm . There were two other people and we sat and waited and I noticed none of our orders were ready after 15 minutes of waiting. Then there was two employees in particular one guy had little braids and a hat on. And the only girl I believe. They started getting into an argument over their responsibilities and be very disruptive.I will say based on their conversation because I could literally hear everything the girl was extremely loud and being really bossy to the other guy. I could be wrong but no matter who started what I should NEVER have had to sit there and hear that. ESPECIALLY from a brand new establishment. So I finally had the speak up because I was the only one left and I had waited since 9:15 - 9:45 for my food. They didn't know where it was and I saw the order sitting there because I only got one thing . So I left honestly super irritated and bothered with mind you my first experience. So I would have given 5 stars on the food alone but you all need to do something about your customer service because that was totally unacceptable to do that in front of customers and for your disagreement to spill into customers getting their orders on time. ‼‼‼UPDATE:‼‼‼ I wanted to update my review because I decided to give this location a second chance after my first disappointing experience. The food is still fantastic. My family loves the Italian beef sandwiches, which is why we came back despite the service issues we experienced during our first visit. Unfortunately, the second visit was even worse. We placed an online order for three Italian beef sandwiches and a sausage pizza. When we got home, we realized we had been given three Italian sausage sandwiches instead. Since we had driven nearly an hour, my mom immediately returned to the restaurant to have the order corrected. The employee who helped her was the same employee involved in a loud argument with a coworker during our previous visit. Rather than apologizing or trying to resolve the mistake, she insisted that was what was on the order and stated that remaking the sandwiches would be a loss for the business. My mom was then told she could purchase the correct sandwiches with only a 10% discount. What should have been a simple correction turned into an argumentative interaction. At this point, I can no longer view the first visit as a one-time issue. The food is excellent, but customer service has now been a problem on two separate visits. It's disappointing because this restaurant has the potential to be amazing, but the service has completely overshadowed the quality of the food. After two negative experiences, I won't be returning.

I'm docking a star because the parking is so busy here, it shares a lot with Plum Market so that's why. Their barbecue chicken pizza is my favorite and the extra large is huge, it contains 12 slices. My coupon was $10 off $25, I think I got it from doing a survey for them, so I sprung for the XL this time. I also threw in a large pepperoni. Their pepperoni is good, but I much preferred the barbecue chicken pizza. Overall, their pizza is very good though, and I recommend it. Check the deals section of the site, they had five dollars off specialty pizzas like this one and a bunch of other deals, too.
