The decision was easy, Brookdale Utica, outshined them all by leaps and bounds!! The facility, including her room, was bright and cheery and the staff caring (always smiling), my mom loved the place. The…read moremanagement staff is very friendly and delivered what they promised when they promised, actually exceeding my expectations. My move was trouble free. The climate is friendly and peaceful. My wife and I were being greeted by our first names the first day we were here by staff and residents. The food is very good and there is plenty to keep you occupied if you want to be busy. I feel at home, needless to say my wife and I like it here.

They were absolutely incredible and bent over backwards to make sure my dad received the best care possible and was comfortable every step of the way. A brand new black neck pillow & a pair of black hand cones. As well staff might consider taking a complete thorough assessment on new admissions. My husband is total care with Vascular Dementia, he won't drink on his own & of course he can't feed himself. Being given a sip of water throughout the day wasn't priority for staff. Feeding while food is warm wasnt a priority. The building was bright & clean & most of the staff was friendly. However, the patients must be the main focus & concern. He was found on the floor several times & it wasn't an urgent matter for the staff. Hospice care was notified. Afterwards my husband was welcomed back for another respite visit on another unit.
