Being a homeowner I will preface by saying that my first inclination is to fix it myself. I own a 50+ year old home so inevitably something is going to break. My mind is not fertile enough to anticipate "What's Next?" You name it, anything from A to Z will eventually fail and always at the worst time possible. Think 10 below zero (wind chill) in the middle of winter. Over the years I've been "stumped many times" in terms of how to fix a problem. A segue into my next paragraph. My first instinct is to drive to Ace Hardware and consult with Cosmos. He is a very attentive listener and expects a thorough definition of the problem. He will ask many questions prior to making a recommendation. As an aside, I always take pictures on my Smart Phone as they help Cosmos to better understand the situation. That being said, Cosmos has a 100% "Problem Solved / Solution Fix" ratio with me after 20+ years. Do yourself a favor, visit the Raynham Ace Hardware for your next project. I then googled troy built and found the part only cost $20 and found another repair shop to fix it for $150$, then sold it on Facebook for the original cost "bidding war" 8 years later during a significant snow storm. Another associate was called over as he knew more about that. I was thrilled with the knowledgeable and personal and polite service I was receiving. The whole store vibe was incredible. I saw a circular offering 25% off before I checked out. The outside associate happened to be nearby and handled the transaction. He was very nice too. So the 25% off coupon bonus was applied to the fertilizer. With the discount and the free bag of bird seed I saved over 25 dollars and got the best retail service experience I've ever experienced!
