Right on the beach with easy access, they provide chairs and kayaks if you want to use them. The property is old, but very well maintained. The staff, mainly Karen is friendly and accommodating. The apartment is clean, the appliances are up to date. Perfectly suited for lazy days spent at the beach. We didn't move our car the entire weekend. We brought in food from the Publix nearby and saved time and money from the usual dining out scene. We will keep this resort on our defiantly return list.

The owner Tekla welcomed us as we exited our vehicle. We felt like we were staying in a friends home rather than a hotel. It was impeccably clean and decorated, we stayed in the Big House and it is remodeled and has everything you need for your stay. Upon our exit Tekla and her husband were so kind to my children and bid us farewell. We cannot say enough about this amazing property and the lovely owners. We cannot wait to return.

When I brought these issues to the attention of management, instead of resolving the issue I was charged additional fees by the owner, Chris Charles. Every weekend since I stayed here he has tried to process payments on my card, and I have been forced to close my account because of it. The owner is a total scam artist. Very disappointing experience at Hampton Inn & Suites Venice Bayside South Sarasota. My father…read morerecently suffered a stroke and accidentally booked our room for the wrong date due to his vision and cognitive limitations. When we arrived and explained the situation, the front desk and management showed little to no compassion and were extremely defensive instead of trying to help us find a solution. We understood the mistake was ours, but the lack of empathy and poor customer service made the situation much worse. We were forced to pay for another room that same night, and the way everything was handled left a terrible impression on our entire family. Unfortunately, this experience has completely discouraged us from staying with this hotel brand again.
