Have a great pharmacy and staff is another bonus. Recently they did some renovations which shoppers feel as inconvenient and the store views at great experience both in materials and labor. They all accomplished this with as little as possible to the shoppers and in a very expediting manner which had its own hiccups but still moved forward. I look for the whole experience when l have to go grocery shopping because it's my lease favorite thing to have to devote time out of my day to get done. Cute little market tucked in the almost middle of the Smithville Square shopping center. Stopped in to check it out as I've always driven past it. This time I stopped as it was around lunchtime and I was hungry. So it's a lil market that has a big display case of prepped food and a deli. The blackboard has their sandwich specials. My eyes locked onto the Reuben. You can choose from corned beef, pastrami or turkey pastrami. I went for the OG - corned beef. They liked it nicely with 6 oz of meat and topped it with the usual suspects Swiss, kraut and Russian dressing. Once it was ready it came in a cute lil brown box and boy did it feel heavy! The aroma wafting in the car made me want to open it right then and there but luckily I only had to drive less than a mile. Once I opened it there was this perfect sammie staring at me with its just right buttery golden toastiness. Dressing dripping on the sides and the pile of corned beef's As Rachel Ray would say Yum-O! I honestly ate it way too fast but I'm not even gonna lie it was worth it! So if you are like me and have driven by but never stopped in ... STOP IN! It's definitely not the most beautiful Shoprite if you compare it to the newer ones, but things are easy to find and the customer service is alright. I do appreciate them adding more to the store, such as the sushi counter and attempting to renovate the store little by little. The produce here are always fresh and there's always a good amount of sales going on that makes it easier to shop smart. This Shoprite is in a convenient strip mall that's attached to an AC Moore, a Thai restaurant, a gym and etc. Always plenty of parking too. The reason for my 1 star deduction is for the customer service and the checkout lines. The checkout lines can be ridiculously long during the later part of the day, I'm assuming because of people getting out of work, but either they don't open enough lines OR because the cashiers are pretty slow. I normally go to the self checkout, and this varies on who is in charge, but the checkout line can be a disaster, with lines stretching into the aisle! There are times you get a quick cashier who oversees the self checkout line but when there's (sorry...but older person) they take forever getting people in and out. That is my only complaint, but if this was fixed I'd have no problems with the place...too bad this has been happening forever.

Customers don't need to hear this. Time was 8:30am so store was very slow. Large Security apparatus in the parking lot is a bit odd. Is this now an unsafe area??? People zipping through the main road in front of the store is alarming. Looks like drivers use it as a short cut from NJ Ave to Rt30 and vise verse. They certainly didn't park and shop.
