Haven't been to this ShopRite in a LONG time. I was impressed by how clean it was. It used to be a mess. Selection was good, but I still couldn't find things you'd expect from a larger store. No Salad Bar??? Employees standing around complaining to each other over work related stuff. Customers don't need to hear this. Time was 8:30am so store was very slow. Large Security apparatus in the parking lot is a bit odd. Is this now an unsafe area??? People zipping through the main road in front of the store is alarming. Looks like drivers use it as a short cut from NJ Ave to Rt30 and vise verse. They certainly didn't park and shop. Speed bumps are needed. Must be really bad when it's busy. I like this shop rite because it is smaller than many of the other shop rites. I live in Absecon and find that it is convenient and I can get what I need. Recently, I had to order food for a church event. I spoke with Jed in catering and he spent a lot of time getting me what I wanted for the event. It was ready and waiting when I went to pick it up and many people commented on the nice looking sandwich platters! Now, I go online and order exactly what I want and know that I will be getting good looking, quality food at a quality price. read more

I'm in the store and brought back a ShopRite brand cottage cheese that was black inside with still a good expiration date on it. I only wanted it replaced and they said it was to long since purchased. This place sold me a bad product not eaten and they would not replace it and have older cottage cheese in the refrigerator right now in the store. read more

I recently moved to Mays Landing. Today my sister and I went to the ShopRite on White Horse Pike in Absecon NJ. As we were finishing up, my sister started to have breathing issues and didn't feel well. We were near the ShopRite Pharmacy so I directed her to a seat there. I mentioned that I will get her some water. Then Drew (from behind the Pharmacy counter) walked towards my sister with a cup of water. I was surprised that he heard me because she was sitting on a seat farthest from the Counter. I was so impressed. He brought tears to my eyes. He is a GEM. He displayed kindness and empathy. This location should be closed down. The building and interior layouts should have been removed and replaced. There is increased security on site due to certain residents of Absecon and Atlantic City that shoplift as a hobby or habit. However, this store 's selections and supply are competitive with their Galloway location. The employees are courteous. Whenever I need something at Shop Rite, even though I may be two blocks away, I'll drive to Galloway Shop Rite for safety reasons. Thank goodness the PD station is a few 100 yards away from this location. read more

I can not belive that at 7:05 this am my disabled step dad tried to get there and use their electric cart. It turns out that they don't seem to care that their carts are not working for the senior vet that goes there every week to get his food so he can eat. He can't walk but a few feet then he's done for the day. So ru get there and find they don't have working carts was very very upsetting to him. This is upsetting to know that a large store only matter caters to the healthy walking people and not the ones that need the extra help with their mobility. So sad! read more

Overall ShopRite provides an acceptable food-shopping experience; however, all departments are not equal in quality. By far the meat department stands out; products are plentiful and good quality. The fish department has improved and seems increasingly more consistent in their offerings. Disappointingly, the produce section is "hit or miss"; in other words, quality varies widely and variety is limited to the basics. Baked goods is the weakest department. The items prepared in house are of an industrial quality that relies primarily on a thick sugar coating or frosting to overwhelm and perhaps thus mask the otherwise tasteless concoction underneath. Italian- and French-style breads are poor examples of this type of bread baking. Without any explanation, they stopped offering a high quality bread from a bakery in northern Jersey. This store is a hot mess!!! Customer Service counter is a joke. You can no longer pick up fresh seafood & continue shopping, seafood must be picked up at customer service counter. Correction picked up & paid for at customer service, and yes then wait in line to checkout. So annoying, question: why can't the cashier go pick the seafood up from customer service. I loved the woman Alissa who use to work customer service she was great haven't seen her for a while. They let the good people go & keep the rude. Two star were given because a nice young man (maybe lead cashier) went to customer service & picked up the two cans of premium crabmeat! #ThankYou read more

Pretty nice SR compared to the many I've been in. Clean and stocked nicely . They have a nice bakery section with yummy treats . The fruit looked fresh & the organic section was plentiful. The soda and juice isle is in the corner of the back end of this store usually it's with the other isles confusing me a little on where they were located ,lol. Average prices for a SR I didn't notice much of a change from other ones. read more

Just moved to the area and boy oh boy was so happy to find this store. The acme closer to me is dirty small and prices are outrageous. This store is clean, larger than most supermarkets I've been too and the prices are fair. Very friendly staff as well. Go see for yourself it's a very good shopping experience. Once again, if I could hand out a zero star review I would. How is it even possible that any business today can have such abysmal customer service. Who do these people think they are? Coca-Cola?!? I am from California. A place where if a customer had a complaint they actually listen and care. Not here! Not their corporate office! This company honestly doesn't seem to give two shits about even PRETENDING to care! So, I like their Pistachio muffins. The few times I have stepped foot in this store they had pistachio muffins once. ONCE! I tried calling the bakery to ask when they would have them in again. No one called back. I stopped by the store to talk to the bakery manager. Not there. The one person who was there was completely not helpful. She had to call a manager. I gave my card to the manager. I even told the manager I expected a call back within 24 hours. Nothing. I looked up their store on line, no place to complain at all. I looked up their corporate office. Same deal. No place to write or even submit a complaint. I called the corporate office, no operator. In fact, when you ask for the operator the system hangs up on you. I usually go to Galloway shoprite but this one is on my husbands way home from work so I had him set up to pick up a curbside order. I ordered 24 hours in advance, when he got there he waited 2 hours and finally left with no grocery order. They called to reschedule us for the following morning so I packed the baby in the car and showed up at the agreed upon time. I waited 25 min again only for someone to come out and tell me it would be another 20 min. I told them to please cancel the order and refund my card. It's been a week and I can't get ahold of anyone to help me. I was charged for the order and never got the groceries. read more

I'm not very fond of this shopping center. There's always some sort of problems. I sometimes do online shopping and they always have out of stocks but then I'll go in and find some of the items. Came here the day before the snow storm...got water and basics needs for the next day..he place is ok...this shop rite is pretty big...but all the items that is usually suppose to be in certain area is not which made me go in circles looking for it...the lines were crazy people were pushing and shoveling.. I was in the express lane with a loaf of bread cold cuts and chips while the two people ahead of me had full carts and the cashier did not say anything to them. There delivery option is not good ..if you are low income people and you use there app and they don't tell u,if tell u the delivery fee is separate,after purchase,when some will get you free delivery after spending a certain amount,the customer service representative was nasty,not understanding ,when I had no money for the delivery..but paid 150 for good with my EBT card..they were heartless ,mean ,and unwarming.. especially during the pandemic for the disabled,and people that can't get out..also they didn't care I had to wait for the refund of my food stamps 48 hours..caring less if I had food or not ,when ebt customers or people are grant d this for emergency and poor and need help..so for Shoprite to be a big business as this not helping people during the pandemic and not helping seniors..or disabled people..with any promotions is horrible..alot of people don't have any hearts for people and just money ,hungry,selfish people..until it effects them... read more

I give this store 0!!! I have been using ShopRite from home for over 10 years. Can you service was impeccable! however recently I moved to Galloway New Jersey and had the unfortunate experience of using shop at home from Absecon ShopRite. My two hour time slot was from 6 p. M. To 8 p. M.. I have to call the store at 3 times to find out where my groceries were. My first phone call was at 8: 15 the next was 845 the next was 9: 15 still no groceries. Assistant store manager was extremely rude and abrupt didn't seem to know where the driver was or how much longer I was going to have to wait. Her excuse to me was he left the store at 8: 20 and that store then starts the 2-hour window so he could be there by 10: 20!!!. At 9: 20 the assistant store manager called back and asked me if I wanted to cancel the $300 food order.? I then asked if he was on his way she said yes he just left the store and he was going right to my house so I said okay then continue with the 12-minute ride. I then asked her if my groceries would be safe. assured me that all my hot food was going to be delivered and hot containers and all my cold food was going to be delivered and cold containers. The driver finally arrived 10 after 10. First two packages I opened was defrosted ice cream and defrosted frozen shrimp!!! I then called the store and told her I was sending back all of the food that I did not feel was safe for consumption. I also informed her that I would not ever be shopping at that store location again. I will stay away from this store. read more

GHETTO If i had to sum it up in 1 word.Fotunately this forum gives me alot of words. The deli selection is limited to lower end mostly.When I asked for the `better` or `higher priced` the slicer guy kept trying to steer me to a sale brand...I had specific wants and he suggested honey ham when I asked for imported for my italian sub. He suggested shoprite brand even when I asked for high profit Dilusso genoa. He sliced everything way thick after I specifically asked thin. The clientel is alot of overflow from PVille & AC so I see why they cater to specific tastes. I am not saying I`m above the clientel but I`m just saying it`s hard to find good meat & deli here b/c they have to put out what moves. This is haphazardly laid out and the aisles are not laid out well by today`s standards. The only pluses here is if I`m on my way home from AC I pass this and its open late. Also, since they have the agressive ShopRite sales that the corp puts out this is a good place to run in,grab the essentials and sale items but I would in no way wish to shop here on a regular basis or for my better level of goods. The cashiers are usually friendly here.The cauc. middle aged Deli guy is a loser and shouldn`t be in that dept. read more

pretty good grocery store in general, decent produce.. the deli is a pretty good place to get lunch, the salad bar is quite good!! the spinach asian dumplings at the deli are pretty tasty, not authentic Chinese style at all really but pretty good. they often have some sort of fish that is pretty decent. read more
