I just went to Harborview Market and let me tell you about my experience! My girlfriend loves the menu and all the unique items they have to offer! We both love the homemade chocolate chip cookies! We waited in the line and we ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese on rolls, A cappuccino, a bottle of water and most definitely a gooey warm chocolate chip cookie! It was only $22 because we decided not to splurge on the .50 extra for the almond milk. After we paid we were told it would be a 30 minute wait! No big deal we have no where to go. We could just stare all all the other people waiting and make friends! The best part of being held hostage while waiting for our food was hearing the other people say that their wait was 45 minutes for an omelet! We were able to bond as a group as we were all suffering together! Its a great way to build a community. Our cappuccino was ready and it was loaded at least 3/4 with foam. There was a heart in the top on it but I guess they know we didn't really need liquid coffee. :) So cute! They yelled my name in all the glorious and friendly hometown chaos. I picked up my order and when I got to the nearby marina to eat, they didn't pack my gooey warm home-baked chocolate chip cookie! Oh no! I guess people make mistakes and get higher profits! The place seems like it it run autonomously, as in no management. This is great as it allows the employees to learn by making mistakes and using the customers as experiments! The best part is I will not be back and my girlfriend is sad because she likes the menu. Great work! It's awesome to have a place like this in town! read more

The food has always been fresh and well prepared, and the cookies are easily the best perhaps, I've ever had!

It's a cute place. Friend and I went to check it out this morning, arrived around noon to be told by cashier it was a 50-60 min wait for food. I'm sorry, what??? Insane. We just ordered coffee and pastries. Cashier was a bit rude to my friend when she asked what cookies they had left. Nutella latte didn't have a hint of Nutella in it, very disappointing. The cinnamon rolls weren't like what you'd normally expect. It was more of a croissant swirl and no icing on top. It was very flaky and buttery though, pretty good. We still want to try the food as it looked pretty good so we'll prob be back at some point. read more

Took 25 minutes to make me a veggie omelette, didn't include the cheese, and offered no apologies for the wait despite seeing I had gone to the register to ask for an update. Seemed like they prioritized a to-go order and one of their regular customers who had ordered several minutes after me. I wouldn't have really minded if the place had heat, which it didn't seem to since the place was probably 55-60 degrees. Hopefully their coffees and sandwiches are better than the $9 egg beater omelette which was reminiscent of the $4 ones I'd get in my cafeteria back in college. read more

This is an absolute gem! Came here at noon on a Saturday and there was live music- a dude playing guitar, it was really nice ! It was pretty packed and the whole place smelled like fresh baked cookies since they just came out of the oven. Omg I got three big chocolate chip cookies and had to eat one while it was hot. Absolutely amazing. They had a lot of coffee flavors- I got hazelnut and was delighted to see they had almond milk with the creams and milks. The coffee was super amazing! On the coffee cup it said they were one of the 51 best coffees in the nation and I believe it! I ordered the Mikey T- chicken cutlet, arugula, tomato, mozzarella, and pesto mayo on a wedge. The bread had a nice crusty outside and soft inside. The chicken cutlet was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spectacular. Seriously everything about this place from the food to the service was incredible. The prices are super reasonable too. We chose to eat out side since it was considerably warm for February, and it was pretty loud inside. From the looks of it, it slowed down a lot by the time we finished our meal around 1pm. Spent an early Saturday morning at this quaint spot. Right in the middle of a neighborhood and it is very cute. We enjoyed breakfast there but there lunch and breakfast menus are available all day! You order inside and seat yourself outside. There was a decent amount of seating but it definitely fills ups quickly. You can tell a lot of people in the neighborhood stop by here. Didn't get a chance to but next time I would grab a fresh baked croissant or muffin, they looked INCREDIBLE! read more

I love this place. Whenever I move to a new place I always look for a breakfast place who cam satisfy my needs of a fresh cracked egg in a bacon and cheese sandwich. I found it! Right here at Harborview. It was so simple and delicious, wonderful. The inside is quaint and realizing. Very much like a home feel to it. They have chips, all types of drinks and sandwiches. The antique tables and chairs are spread throughout and bustle with the sound of people meeting up and having a morning chit chat. Something about walking into a place like this, is so relaxing. They have outdoor seating as well that's just as beautiful, with a garden and it just feels like a different world. One of the other awesome things, is the location. It is right by St. Mary's by the Sea, so less the a minute drive to the ocean! I get my sandwich and coffee and head to the ocean to just escape the mumdane world! This place has such a homey neighborhood feel. When you walk in there's no pretentious feeling. It's a hidden gem that I'm glad to have found. Service was quick. It looks like a good study spot if you need a little background noise. BLT was really good. I had a raisin scone. It was really good and not too sweet. The food is great, despite that it's a tad pricey, it definitely is by far my favorite breakfast place in Bridgeport. Generally I have enjoyed eating at this place in the past which is why I gave it three stars today. I was very disturbed to witness several things that I consider unsanitary. This is a very cute hang out spot in the neighborhood but a kitchen without hats or gloves is problematic especially when the cooks are handling food that is not going to be cooked any further such as deli meat and salads. I also witnessed the chef reach out from the kitchen into the salad bar and eat with his bare hands. The bathroom was also a mess. All in all not particularly happy which is a shame. read more

Is it possible to be depressed while eating breakfast - all BECAUSE of your breakfast? We came here based on the yelp reviews, and I have to say it's a huge disappointment. The decor is like taking a step back in time to the 70's, and that's ok. It's pretty much all community tables, and that's still ok. The food, however, is not. We waited over thirty minutes for the SADDEST breakfast burrito I've ever eaten. The home fries, boring. My breakfast partners sandwich, a floppy boring mess. If this is what Fairfield County thinks of the 'best brunch spot' I think I'll stay in new Haven. Instead, do yourself a huge favor and take a minute to drive over to nearby Bloodroot and skip this place altogether. At Bloodroot, the food is REALLY good, same decor idea with a much nicer and friendlier vibe. I honestly can't believe what the folks at Harborview are serving and calling 'brunch'. In retrospect I wish I hadn't wasted the time eating this food. I'm writing this review as I still sit in the 'restaurant', THATS how bad it was. I couldn't even wait to get home to do it. read more

Fantastic service here! I ordered an iced latte with almond milk and a Cobb salad. The salad was SUPER fresh and had surprise kale at the bottom. The chicken was well cooked and the bacon was real! Always into that. The latte was slightly off, but totally good regardless...but the real winner here is their cookies!!! The chocolate chip and walnut are phenomenal and I'm pretty sure I've never had a better oatmeal cookie in my life. :) The ambiance is a good mix between hip and comfortable without going too far into either extreme. Wow! I just started a new job around the corner from this place. It was wonderful and so is the atmosphere. I wish I understood the layout a little better before ordering, but it was so good. I ordered the Cobb wrap inside of a spinach wrap and it was heavenly. The chicken was good, the veggies tasted fresh, and the Gorgonzola dressing was out of this world. The cookies are baked fresh and are self serve. $1 a piece and they have oatmeal chocolate chip which is my absolute favorite. I love going here. Primarily because I can walk to it, but even if I couldn't, I would make the drive. I've discovered that some of the breakfast items aren't as good as they could be (breakfast burrito, definitely pass) but their pastries are incredible as are their cookies. The apple turnover is to die for. My mom, who is from out of state, tried one when visiting last month and since that visit, she has had me send two boxes filled with them. Overall, very homey feeling place. The first couple of times that I went, I definitely felt overwhelmed and confused about what to do, how to order, to sit or not to sit, when to pay.
