My wife and I love steakhouses and we are fortunate to have some wonderful ones in the City (Mortons and Ruths Chris our current favorites). We went last night for dinner to Harbour Sixty and it was one of the most disappointing experiences ever. We have an expression for restaurants like this and it's not a compliment - "taken with itself" Let's start with service - I feel strongly that the price of a dining experience should be directly related to the level of service received - this was a $600 meal for 4 and the management is clearly understaffing the place - ONE SERVER the whole night working too many tables - water left unpoured all night - nobody checking in to see if we are happy with the meal - wine glasses finished and not re-poured. They are understaffed and to me that is arrogant for one of the most expensive restaurants in the city. The service was horrible at this price point. The table for four next to us finished up and a party of 8 must not have had a reservation - they pop the table wider and poof convert the four to an 8 and simply create more service problems for the waiter. Let's talk about the meal - we are not price sensitive but the price points at this steakhouse are in a stratosphere unto themselves - $104 for the Lobster! $25 for a glass of the house Red. They are clearly still doing well with the corporate expense card set and another sign of true arrogance. On the positive side, the food is good (though not exceptional) - the steaks were cooked properly (though nobody asked). A Banana Split with fake whipped cream? The food quality is overshadowed by all the other points. Please (please) go to another steakhouse - it made us sad to think that people will have their one special meal at this place. read more

We have been disappointed with Harbour Sixty not once, but TWICE! We went back with an open mind seeing if they could redeem themselves from our first catastrophic visit.. but to no avail! There's no heart and soul in this place... and as far as I know in the customer service industry it's never alright to tell a customer "no". . . it shouldn't even be in their vocabulary. ANYWAYS, what it comes down to is the food and the service. Steak wasn't up to par, especially for the price! Expectations not met at all.. on all fronts. What we love about other steakhouses in the city (our go-to place now is Barberian's) is that they treat everyone the same.. it doesn't matter if your a celebrity, a maple leaf player, a business man/woman, or a modest couple in town for a bite to eat! They are all welcomed and given the same quality level of service throughout. Very Attentive. The staff at harbour sixty should follow this lead. It annoys people seeing other customers receive this special treatment, especially when we are paying with our hard earned money for our dining experience too. I will restate another reviewers remarks: "take your dollars somewhere else." read more

Warmly welcomed by the staff as we entered and greeted with a smile, which we felt confident enough that we found a perfect place for a dinner date last Saturday. The service was excellent and our server was competent and diligent. The drinks were pretty amazing and the cocktails were mixed well. The décor was warm and very eclectic with a classic set of style; The lobby entrance was amazing with an interesting touch design on the ceiling. The chairs are so heavy but so convenient. The ambiance is classy and comfortable but it can be very loud. The food was good, but nothing stunned me that good, I think Tomahawk steak has the best taste in our item, too salty for my taste, but my wife found it amazing. The Filet Mignon was bad, I don't like the taste of the sauce and the Brussels sprouts were a mess and overcooked. The Filet was good. The Coconut Cream Pie we shared was too sweet as well. We just had dinner for my birthday and I was blown away how good this place was. I was expecting stuffy, old and pretentious. It was anything but. The entire venue is iconic. Steeped in history. The staff was exceptional. Very laid back and welcoming. Attentive and non judgmental. Beyond that, our server gave us a tour after dinner. I had a ribeye. Yes it was $80. BUT it was enormous and I have a ton of steak to take home. Also it's not just any piece of meat slathered in butter. It's aged 35 days and tasted unbelievably good. My wife had the seafood pasta which was also delicious. Perfectly balanced high quality and generous. We had the cheesecake for dessert which again was fantastic. I would definitely go back. If your going for a nice night out. This is a must try. read more

The prime steaks are perfectly cooked, but not seasoned at all, and overall a disappointment. Simply nothing makes them stand out, and for $60+ per steak, they meat should sing ! The side dishes are pricey, but worth every penny. Cauliflower, brussel sprouts, even corn, are turned into magical highlights of the meal. I would in all seriousness consider ordering 3 sides as my meal here. They are that good. Bar has no draft beer, and no craft beer in bottles or cans , either. Just corporate mega brands. The wine and scotch lists are both extensive and expensive. Deserts were above average. Service was attentive and gracious, but watch out for the bottomless refills of sparkling water. Its not free! Non steak dishes are reasonably priced. Fish dishes wee better than average. read more

I have recently discovered this spot in downtown Toronto, and never left disappointed not one time. The place looks very luxurious with a top notch lobby, bar and dining area. The staff is a highly trained team, professional and very friendly. Everyone has full knowledge when it comes to the menu, and it's very helpful to ask for recommendation and paring with their huge selection of fine wines. The Steaks are one of the best in the city, I normally have mine grilled Chicago style, and I usually struggle to find a steakhouse that makes it perfectly, these guys hit it just perfectly! I recommend going there for couples and business meetings, we usually go there for weekend dinners and it's just PERFECT. read more

The quality of the meat is fine but the chef put way too much salt on the steak. It's so salty that I have to drink 8 glasses of water. And what?? They charge for distilled water?? What a money grabber. Service was attentive but the server never smiled. Looks like she had a bad day? There is no prime rib and no black truffle steak? She said it was so busy today but it's just 7pm and dinner just started and not many guests are in the restaurant? What kind of lie is that? Food is expensive for the quality and service. Will not come back again. Besides the valet parking and the nice decor, there was nothing good about this restaurant. read more

Visited Harbour 60 last night for dinner prior to flying home from a fun filled weekend in Toronto. Jen was our server. She was VERY good ... understood that we had 1 hour and 45 minutes and timed the dinner perfectly. I had the Sea bass which was nothing short of amazing... the other parties at my table had filet and were impressed... the brussel sprouts that Jen recommended were excellent... and so was the Niagara wine that she suggested... Our only disappointment was not having enough time to have some coconut cream pie for dessert .. it sounded amazing... Great night and great way to end our weekend. read more

Came here with a few friends. Love the interior! We were seated at a large table for 6, even though we were a party of 3. It was very private, meaning, we were far from everyone, and werent disturbed by surrounding conversation in such a busy place. It was expensive. My cocktail was $30. It wasnt fancy either. Ive had better at jack astors for $7.50! We ordered some fries as we waitted for the steak. They came out thin, dry, and sprinkled with rosemary. Really? How do you screw up fries? No doubt about it, the steak is great. However, the service is not. It's only sufficient. And inconsistent. I've dined here several times and understand what I'm getting. The waiters are better than the waitresses. If you're dressed noveau riche, you'll get better service. Tragic really, since most monied people don't need to flash their income. Anyway, go for the steak, forget the sides. Over-priced and lack luster. Incredible wine list. INCREDIBLE. Be prepared to pay a hefty price but they absolutely have some of the best wine. read more

Went there to celebrate husband's birthday. Steaks were done exactly like ordered and portions were huge!! We ordered the tempura shrimp for appetizer and it was so huge fresh and delicious. Because of the big portions, next time we will only order one appetizer, one side dish and one dessert. However we ordered the creme brûlée and chocolate cake for dessert and they were to die for, so it will be very difficult to only choose one next time :D read more

Ordered the rib eye with lobster mashed potatoes and mushrooms. The rib eye skin was really tasty but I felt like overall it's quite dry, I would also like to see more vegetables even though it was mainly supposed to be a rib. There was also a small quantity of mushrooms only 3 pieces and the lobster mashed potatoes were too little. I think it'll be good if there was some sauce with it but overall a satisfying meal. read more

This is a mighty one of the best steak houses in the city. It is super nice inside and the waiters are what you would expect from a high end restaurant, All class. The stakes are somewhat reasonably priced but once you add in the cost of sides and everything else it ends up being a pretty pricey dinner. You do get what you pay for. Highly recommend this for special events such as a Birthday or anniversary. read more

I was at Harbour 60 with my wife to celebrate Valentine's Day. As always it did not disappoint! The Filet mignon was delicious and the asparagus on the side was cooked and seasoned just right. To too things off we shared a chocolate lava cake, which was superb! All in all, excellent food, service and experience. Would definitely recommend and come back here again. read more

Finally got a night away from the kids and took my wife on a date. This place is very impressive. The food was very very pricey, but no complains. You get what you pay for. My wife was perfectly satisfied, and you know what they say #happywifehappylife I'm gonna give it a 4-star, only because I'm gonna be eating bread and lettuce for lunch for the next week. read more

I have eaten allot of steaks but this was by far the best steak I have ever had in my whole life. It was bloody expensive but luckily it was a business lunch so I didn't have to worry about it. I would probably come here all the time if I was rich, but i'm not. The decour leaves a bit to be desired, looks like its been the same since the 80's. read more

I have been going to Harbour 60 for a while now, I don't go as often as I use to but was there a few days ago. I have to say the food was as good as I remembered and the staff was very attentive. Great food although the prices are a little over the top I will still return for another great dinner. read more

Was there last weekend for a friends birthday, and everything was great. Got the rib eye and it was cooked exactly how I liked. Great selection of wine, but they mark it up to the extreme. Great choice if your looking for a good steak in the city. read more

I found this place to be over hyped. The ood quality was not there for me. I had ordered a steak medium rare and it came out with no pink in it. The pricing of both the dishes and the alchol are outrageous read more
