I don't think that the bar staff could have worked harder to ignore me if they had tried. Countless waiters and waitresses walked right past me seated in the bar and not one person would make eye contact with me. Traveling alone, I was not able to get up from my seat and stand at the bar to order a drink as my seat would have been taken when I returned. After 45 minutes of being ignored, I went to the reception and asked to be seated at a table in the dining area where I thought I would have a better chance of getting a drink with an assigned waiter. 20 additional minutes later waiting for an available table brought me to my waiter, Davide. He was very kind and helpful. Thank you. Unfortunately the experience as a whole leads me to the 2 stars. read more

It can get very busy here and you can end up waiting for a table for some time. But there is another like booth resturant outside decorated the same and you can eat in there to. I really enjoyed the food and the service was great, I had a very nice evening, so much so I went back again a couple of nights later. read more

Stopped here for lunch today and very disappointing. Wouldn't have been generous with the one star rating but was forced to at least give a star to post a review. They should basically have a negative 5 star rating. Food was awful and service was even worse. When you have a large restaurant you should pick up the pace. Is everyone working there on holiday?? I could go on for days about this awful lunch experience but it's not worth it. Save your money and your tummy from this disaster of a location there calling the hard rock. Wouldn't return if you paid me. When you have to get up to get your own soda refill cause the waitress is setting up tables like she's in a slo mo video... Here we go time for a stellar review of The Hard Rock Cafe in Rome. I have visited many Hard Rock Cafes all around the world and this has to be one of my favourite. The roof is a work of art as is the food! I had the Hickory-Smoked Barbecue Combo the meat was so tender and the tobacco onions were a great addition to the dish. One of the reasons I love the Hard Rock Cafe is the serving staff there. We arrived early for our booked time which meant we had to wait a while for our friends to join, they were not pushy at all in making us order food or drink. Our server was very attentive and funny - worthy of the tip. One of the burgers that came was a little too red, so they took it back, made it from scratch, sent the manager out to apologise and took 10% off for any inconvenience. Going here you feel and are treated as a VIP, exactly the treatment you expect when dining out. The cost justifies the taste, great value for money. Can't wait to go and dine here again. read more

Great change from the Italian fare. I had the ribs and my wife got the pulled pork. A great place to break from the "local" food. Service was fantastic. Go early (5pm is early in Rome) to avoid the long (up to 2 hours!) waiting in line. The price is not that much more than US prices off the menu but the exchange rate will make it about 30% more when considering cost in USD. read more

With staff like Perry and a General Manager Hugo, they have the best service we have had in Rome. So personable, kind and entertaining. They truly made our visit exceptional. Very nice and clean inside. Workers weren't the friendliest. Bartender was nice, however. They let us know they were closing, and it was over 30 min before their advertised closing time. And they didn't serve food anymore 30 min before that. Didn't really enjoy it there, but it's a nice place. read more

For those of you who wonder why the location, the answer is simple: it is literally across the street from the US Embassy (whose personnel is awarded a discount) There is an outdoor option as well as quite a big indoor restaurant floor. As with every other Hard Rock Café, the menu is standard and so is the flavor. The difference (in my modest opinion) is made by the staff and the memorabilia. I have always been served with a smile and prompt service. The food is solid and good. The drinks are well balanced. If you happen to be an Active Duty US miltary member, give it a shot asking for a discount. Since they do honor their commitment towards supporting the troops statsides... we have been, once, offered the refreshments free of charge (on a party of 14) and on a different occasion, were given the US Embassy discount. Like i said, worth trying (don't forget to show your miltary ID, just to make sure you don't take advantage by posing as a service member when you actually are not) read more

The wait for food was so long that I was almost falling asleep! The food is so so American burgers, but after eating pasta and pizza for 5 days straight we had to come here plus kids like these sort of places and I have a 6 year old. Every Hard Rock I've been to from Baltimore to Madrid, I ALWAYS get the nachos. They are huge and a meal in itself. This place is on the way to and away from the Galleria Borghese and/or park so we came here after going there. A lot of Europeans love anything American so this place was quite crowded at 4 pm. We paid $70 for OK food, I think back home, it would have cost $40 for three of us! Then for two shirts for my son and spouse $60 so $130 for Hard Rock wtf!!! Well, vacation is vacation and even for run of the mill no name Italian restaurants we've been paying $60 Americano on average for 2 adults and a child. Dollar does very poorly so far for last 15 years I have traveled to Europe. Those Europeans get a lot of bang for their euros when they go to Florida, NYC, or LA, that's for sure! I'm glad I paid off my airfare via credit card 2 months ago and apartment rental in cash last week, but I know my Chase Preferred Sapphire card will be outrageous next month, but alas you only live once, and I don't want to be old in my 60s touring Europe by bus. I am 42 years old, but I see a lot of yelpers in their 20s going to fancy restaurants and locales, huh??? How do you guys do it? As we reached the Hard Rock Café this evening, we noticed the place was packed with people. The waitress at the register told us the minimum wait would be 45 minutes for a 4 person table. As I am a Hard Rock pin collector, this was an ideal moment to check the shop for my Rome pin. Which I found, tyvm. Anyway, when we did get our table about an hour later, we were greeted by a friendly man called Amanuel, who is also the manager. As I said before, the place was packed, so it took Amanuel some time to get our orders, but he was really nice to all of us and chatted with us when he had the chance, so we didn't mind the wait. We ordered the plate of nachos and I ordered the Texan burger. This is my ninth day in Italy, and tonight brought me both the best food and service I had during my entire trip. If you decide to hit Italy this summer, be sure to hit Hard Rock Café Rome, despite the wait, the friendly service and delicious food really made our night worthwhile. If your a tourists you must read!! Let me start off by saying I gave them two stars because of the bar tender if it were not for him I would of awarded them zero stars. Didn't catch his name but he has a comb over and looks like he could be in a band. After waiting about 75mins which I have no complaints about because I've been to about 6 and that usually is the normal time for dinner we were seated and it took about 20 mins before she even looked at us. After taking our voucher because of course I'm a tourist so I want the most out of my experience she explains that we need to order a coke to get the gift. Mind you the coke is free and so is the gift. We get our food and everyone is satisfied until VERÓNICA comes back with our change and rips us off. Now if I would have not been in Europe for about 2 weeks prior she probably would have got away with it. Now this is not only upsetting for me but should be to this chain of restaurants you should pride your self in being a world wide chain and not take advantage of customers because they come to your restaurant because it feels like a little place called HOME. But the bad does not stop there then she proceeds to tell us that we don't get a gift because not everyone ordered a coke so we say we'll bring us the FREE coke. So she brings the coke 15 mins later and then explains well you still don't get a gift. By this time I'm upset because not only have I paid and was explained the we would get a free gift for the older kids especially, I have spent over 200€ at the bar and still was ripped off. After speaking to someone she returned the euros she owed us but was still off. To end this if you go ask not to be served by Veronica the one who rips off innocent tourist. Amazing burger! After 10 days of pasta and pizza, I needed a burger and fries (McDonalds doesn't count). After passing it while on the tour bus, I decided on Hard Rock Cafe to satisfy my craving. Not only was it in a nice leafy area (next to the American Embassy)' it was also clean and HAD AC, which felt like gold after eating while sweating bullets for almost a week. The cheeseburger was simply amazingly delicious! The fries where a little meh, but served their purpose. The service was super friendly, although a little slow, but the place was also packed. I was so satisfied after I got done, a delicious and filling burger. Picked up some gift items from the shop, and went back to my hotel with a smile on my face. read more

Our experience at this Hard Rock Cafe was pretty bad. It was about a 75 minute wait. Once we finally sat down it took over an hour to get our food. We asked for waters multiple times and the waiter didn't bring us anything we asked for. Going to the Hard Rock Cafe in Italy is obviously risky as it is, but my family and I were really in the mood for some cheeseburgers and mixed drinks. Crowded, loud and great food and service, like we expect from the HRC. The wait would have been absurd, but we snagged a bar table . . . which because of the layout had more space around it, though also traffic, than he rest of the crowded-together tables. We had a delightful waiter Patrick who was so excellent despite being ridiculously overworked with tables. The burgers we had were perfect - no problem with typical European "well-done means barely rare" that happens most places. So I have this thing, that when I travel some where that has a Hard Rock Cafe, I go out of my way to get there to get one of those shot glasses. I was not disappointed. I've been to quite a few Hard Rock's and this is one of the better ones. Allot of cool memorabilia on the the was and a lot of good rock music coming out of the speakers. Hard Rock Café is a great escape if you are doing an extensive amount of traveling and you need a break from the Pizza and Pasta and have a craving for home. But BEWARE that you will pay quite a bit for your trip back home, we (my wife and I) paid about 15-20 euros (18 - 26 dollars) for each burger. The burgers were quite delicious (My wife had veggie burger and I had a bacon cheeseburger - the bacon was amazing!) but would not be worth the price if for the fact that I have been out of the US for too long. It's your standard Hard Rock Café with a great atmosphere but slightly slow but engaging waiting staff. I like the location as it is in a nicer part of Rome but can be hard to reach on Metro. read more

The staff was friendly and drinks aren't very expensive. Typical Hard Rock Cafe with a good quality of alcohol. Also located very close by to the hotel where we stopped -Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese. I would recommend my friends to stop by there for a drink. read more

Food was okay, it's a chain, you get what you expect. What makes this place stand out is the waitstaff. They were exceptional both times we went. Anyway...as long as you can handle the high prices this will bring you right back home after a solid 2 weeks of traveling in Italy, bouncing from Milano to Napoli, and every city in between.
