Salty food , ironically no salt on the tables , so they load up the food with salt
    Ralph J.

Pros; Great location, cool memorabilia and shows . staff very friendly , awesome fish tacos and Asian cuisine good . Cons : Management doesn't seem to care . Food although most was tasty was way too Salty , extremely salty ( all restaurants), Toro restaurant food was cold , server also forgot our salads . 2 days in the hotel ran out of Sauvignon blanc wine! 5 days later still none( so much for all inclusive) Could go on about little things like ran out of coffee cup lids etc. but rant over . To many other good choices if they don't care .

We stayed for a total of 4 days over the past week. While we did enjoy our stay for the most part we had several issues that truly need to be addressed. First we were aware that we did not have a reservation for an oceanfront room in one of our reserved rooms and understood that when the hotel is booked we may not get a chance to change this, but we were surprised that we could not be changed even just for a day even with the ability to pay for the upgrade. Moreso the room that we were put in had so many issues that we werent able to compare it to the other rooms on our reservation. 1) Being directly in front of a horrendous dirty, bird poop filled roof structure next to the pool bar with zero privacy made us unwilling to even stay on the patio. Cleaning supplies and dirty water even fell from the room above when we did sit outside. There was also stains found multiple times on different comforters. 2) the jacuzzi tub was not properly cleaned and had yellow residue when used in each one of the rooms. 3) the shower and shower head was full of mold and the shower head was much less powerful than the oceanfront view room. Also our shower door would not close completely. 4) old contacts were left from the last guest on the counter and floor and after asking for a clean room 2 times in the first day they were still not removed from the bedside counter. The oceanfront rooms were also not cleaned for two days and we were left without clean towels nor toilet paper. When we asked a staff member to see if they could call housekeeping for a clean, he said, "don't worry about it, they come everyday." 5) little amenities like the dimming lights and not having the same iPhone dock, or being given any body lotion or body milk like the other rooms just did not seem fair. 6) with the elevator being out of commission I believe it took very long to get up and down so needing to walk stairs as much as we did just is not how an all inclusive resort should feel. 7) the dinner reservation app barely worked. And needing to go to several restaurants to find someone only to be told they didn't have a reservation system there or that they had closed their reservation system for the night. Along with that we couldn't even switch a dinner time from 6 to 6:30 and this was at Ciao, which was definitely the least busy that night and we were still not even served our entrees until 2 hours after our reservation. On a previous day, one of the individuals in our group was trying to make a reservation for Toro for the following evening. With the app not working, I spoke to multiple staff members at both toro and Isla, only to be told that nothing could be done. One staff member even told me that my room number "did not exist" even after showing her my wristband and a picture of my room number. We were eventually able to get in the day off, but the process was incredibly frustrating. Aside from this the quality of food and several of the locations was very lack luster and the options available to us was limited, especially considering the difficulty we had making reservations to the restaurants. This was particularly frustrating as the quality of food and available options and amenities was at a much higher level when I visited the resort 12 or so years ago. 8) after struggling to get a drink at the bar one night, a bartender told one of our guests that they needed to cater to those who had been giving more tips. But that we would be served soon. Also in the last night of our stay, we ordered wine on the tablet in the room and it never came. 9) trying to book a ride from the airport to the hotel before we arrived was such an ordeal just because we were on 2 different flights that landed at the same time, we had to book through CARM and had an amazing experience with no issues with them. 10) after booking an isla mujeres excursion with vacation planners, last minute we noticed there was an error and had one less person on our order then our group size. So we had to email vacation planners and told we needed to find the person who helped us. That was earlier in the morning and it was already 9 pm with our excursion going to be in the early morning. We were just lucky enough to find someone right before they left who made the switch very easy for us. All in all, there just felt like a constant amount of issues after having paid so much, especially for an all inclusive luxury resort like this. We are rarely people to complain and are not hard to please but we just felt like everyday there was another issue.

Mold in the windows that they tried to hide behind blinds.

I would give them zero if I could. I had one of the most disappointing resort experiences of my life at the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun. We were there for a wedding that cost upwards of $30,000--not including the $30,000+ guests spent to attend--and the service was shockingly poor from start to finish. Let's start with the basics: the hot tub was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. The beach was full of seaweed that they only tried to manage on the weekends. There was black MOLD on the windowsills--absolutely disgusting. Dirty, stained towels were delivered on multiple occasions, and overall, the property felt neglected and unclean. Nearly every interaction with staff felt like we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. It was as if basic courtesy and hospitality were optional. The wedding: The wedding coordinator in particular made zero effort to go above and beyond. Despite knowing about multiple weddings scheduled that week, the resort failed to staff enough people to accommodate hair and makeup services. I was forced to have my hair done at 9 AM for a 5 PM wedding in humid Cancun weather--and I had to hire an outside makeup artist just to be prepared as a bridesmaid. Here's where it gets even worse: when I tried to add the makeup artist to my room so she could enter the property for two hours, I was told I'd need to pay a $1,500 outside vendor fee. Yes, $1,500--because of their own scheduling failure. After pressing, Suy the wedding coordinator pulled out the bride's contract--a wildly inappropriate move, considering I didn't sign it and it contains her private information. They eventually offered to "make an exception" and allow me to buy a $150 day pass for my artist. So I was penalized twice: once for their lack of planning and again with an extra charge for trying to fix their mess. To top it all off, the wedding coordinator Suy showed up to the ceremony in sneakers, blue jeans, and a band T-shirt. It was incredibly unprofessional and honestly embarrassing, especially for how expensive this wedding was. If your wedding is on the terrace, prepare to be stuck waiting in an unventilated hallway with no fan for 30 minutes while your makeup melts off. The overall vibe? Once they have your money, they stop caring. And they know it. I've been to Cancun several times and stayed at other resorts--none of them treated guests this poorly. Hard Rock Cancun is all show and no substance. I'll never stay at a Hard Rock property again after this. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. UPDATE: I did email the hotel and they did absolutely NOTHING to rectify the terrible stay. They wouldn't even give me my $150 back. They love to acknowledge their contract but don't acknowledge their moldy rooms or dirty towels.

Good: 1. The room was really, really nice - loved the layout and the amenities like the jacuzzi tub. 2. Food was decent for an all-inclusive, I also liked the build-your-own Bloody Mary bars at breakfast and lunch 3. The music memorabilia was awesome, they have stuff like Britney Spears's shoes and Cher's jumpsuit 4. Entertainment was great. The live music was excellent and little things like ceviche classes etc were a nice touch The bad: 1. I was stopped by security when coming onto the property to check in. They barely spoke English and didn't understand me when I said I was a guest and needed to check in. Really bizarre experience 2. WiFi wasn't working for an hour or two after I checked in and the staff was very blasé about it 3. Loooooong waits for the restaurants at dinner. Even the buffet had a wait at lunch. The teppanyaki restaurant was nearly fully booked for the night at 11:30am yet was empty when I arrived for my 6pm reservation. 4. Not nearly enough loungers at the pool. It was almost impossible to get a chair at all. Lastly, drinks weren't great but the bartenders were fast and friendly. I wouldn't come back but it wasn't a horrible stay.

Teppanyaki dinner at Zen. Requires advance reservation, but a lot of fun!

I'm taking down our stay a star because booking the extra Bold Experiences process (a connected company thru whom HRH contracts) was very frustrating -- and getting the hard sell pitch for booking a bounce-back fifteen minutes before our return ride to the airport was annoying. (Yes the hotel stay & experience was generally very nice and the price for bounce-back fair but we don't need the hard-sell, like the "time share" pitch they try to sell some guests. We're prone to come back but they make it less likely acting this way.) Our Rock Spa service experience was very relaxing, and daily Bold "excursions" a mix: was nice to see some great attractions, but the tip-extraction shake down quite high on some activities vs others. Overall a nice experience like riding a cruise-ship without the seasickness. We liked all the restaurants -- some dishes great, some average -- but service experience consistently good and even at times great. The Italian-themed Ciao was the weakest 'fine dining' spot, but the steakhouse (Toro), new Mex mariscos/seafood restaurant (Isla, still not on their website) and Japanese/Asian (Zen) were our favorites. Teppanyaki at Zen with a bunch of strangers was a fun cruise-like experience we happen to enjoy. The Mex-dominant Frida buffet is also a nice breakfast -- and they keep the stout Bloody Marias flowing! Indeed the waits for dinner can be terrible, but personally we liked grabbing drinks in the main Hard Rock lounge or overlooking the ocean and enjoying the vibe waiting for our number to buzz. Yes you can find the watered-down Margaritas and Coladas at the beach and swim-up bars, but they also mix up stronger cocktails from better top-shelf bottles too if you ask. There are limitations: No fancy garnishes, rarer flavor accents, or even ginger beer or shaken egg white drinks. But the poor Modelo beer on tap, canned Corona, and being a Pepsi shop (thus terrible Cuba Libres) was more offensive to me than a weak fruity drink or no mules nor fizzes. Nice big pool and never a problem to find a seat. Nice clean beach access (though the waves were all red flag while we were there). And decent rooms (though smelly cleaning products) with a comfy bed and big double jetted tub rounded out the overall nice stay. Nightly entertainment was fun but so-so quality. If we were to do it again we'd not book all the daily Bold Experiences in advance, but just book a couple once there (fair deals still abound) and allow ourselves a bit more time to enjoy the core Hard Rock All Inclusive resort experience, which we missed out on too much because we were out on site visits during the day.

As a live music lover, I always appreciate the efforts Hard Rock makes to keep music at the forefront.. On this particular trip, we had one of the best mini-vacation getaways we could imagine and it included a lot of indulging and adding some perks. Live music via the stage featured Michael Jackson one night, and then a "You Are the Star" show where guests picked songs and performed on stage with a live band. We also had a pianist, an impromptu band, and a Violinist who kept the bar area popping inside one night... Oh yeah, and to close it out, we got a chance to enjoy a Silent Music Party!!! It was the way to determine who was young, old, and "seasoned" when it came to music! Pros: Red Royalty Club perks are great. When booking your room, look for a beach view instead of a lagoon as it will put you front and center toward the ocean. The Rock Royalty is listed when you book online and that will typically put you on the 3rd floor. Depending on your room, it's more of a partial ocean view, but your balcony opens up directly to a private deck that hosts 2 different pools as well as a bar & grill and personal service. What a great touch. I know when I return, I'm doing a higher status to get a higher room floor, but the trade-off will be walking out of my balcony directly onto the 3rd floor. It ain't the "party" floor, but the VIP access makes you feel special. Transition to the beach, similar perks as lounge beds with umbrellas are available for RR guests & above. We had a staff member working hard to fill our drink request throughout the day while chillin' on the beach and later learned that our RR Status (wristbands) was part of that perk. Not all the guests had that "butler service" on the beach. They had to go to the bar. While visiting I also decided to upgrade to the Birthday Package which included a variety of things from Breakfast in bed, a Mini Bday cake, a couples photo shoot, bday dinner reservation, and more. I think the only thing I didn't get was the Birthday Door Banner, but it didn't bother me. The A'la cart spot by the pool, PIZZETO, was actually really good whenever I walked by for a quick grab. Brick Oven pizzas and then during the peak times, the buffet of stuff from burgers, pizza, nachos, tacos & more. That's the spot to help with all the alcohol consumption. Breakfast/Brunch at Frida's was good. Buffet style, but lots of good options. The lunch buffet by the pool was better... Cons: Dinner was hit or miss... We had dinner a Toro's (Steakhouse) but the cuts of meat were not my favorites. Unfortunately, I had to send my back as it was cooked well done and I requested medium. Oddly, the walls are thin...I heard everything from the hallway and apparently the couple arguing next door... he should of known better... lol! Vacation club group... aka timeshare folks are hard to distinguish... so at check-in, I figured I was getting our Rock Royalty Personal Concierge... NOPE... he called after I told them pretty bluntly that I wanted to enjoy my vacation... usually, I just ignore but because I purchased a Birthday Package I figured it was to stall... that was a fail... when leaving it was deja vu... another sales pitch to other hard rock spots and they led with 'sorry for the construction story' & u now get 50% off your next stay. I get it, it's the industry and business, just not for me!

Where do I begin? My girlfriend and I were so excited for a romantic getaway at Hard Rock Cancun, especially after shelling out for the "Paradise Pass" -- which in hindsight, feels more like a cover charge to a bad buffet in limbo. Let's start with the booking process: I originally tried to go to Puerto Vallarta. "No availability," they said. Tried Riviera Maya. "Also no availability." Finally had to settle for Cancun. Should've taken that as a red flag, but alas, love makes you hopeful. May 1st: We arrive and head to Frida's for dinner. What did we get? Cold chicken. Not "chilled chicken salad"--like, literal entrée chicken served cold. I've had better meals from a gas station microwave. That night's entertainment? The African Show. Imagine a community theater production that was rushed through tech rehearsal and set to generic drums. That was the highlight. May 2nd: My girlfriend's birthday! We were looking forward to dinner at Toro. Wait time? Two hours. Okay, fine, we're on vacation--let's be patient. But we were starving, so we pivoted to Ciao. Still over an hour wait. Finally get in, order apps, take one bite... and just leave. We didn't even fake a bathroom exit--we just stood up and left in shame and hunger. May 3rd: A ray of light! We booked the Cenote tour, and it was actually fantastic. Beautiful nature, fresh air, no broken systems, no cold food--just pure enjoyment. Turns out, leaving the hotel was the best part of staying at the Hard Rock. That should probably tell you something. May 4th: Spa day, right? We used the in-room app to book a couples massage using our $950 resort credit. Got the confirmation email--great! Went to relax at the beach, came back, and... surprise! The spa calls us and says it's only booked for one person, and there's no availability left for two. The manager, Laura, explains the app "doesn't allow you to add a second guest." Excuse me? You have a "couples massage" option... that only books for one person?? What kind of couples therapy is this? Oh--and we couldn't even use the resort credit anywhere else because everything was booked. The $950 might as well have been printed Monopoly money. Just when we thought things couldn't get worse, we tried Toro again. Got there at 6:30 PM. Another two-hour wait, which we anticipated. But the buzzer system was down, so they basically told us, "Come back at 8:30 and maybe we'll have a table, if you manifest it hard enough." We got back to our room that night to find the toilet broken. So we capped off our luxury vacation by calling maintenance because the plumbing gave up on us too. Look, I've stayed at budget motels with more consistency and less drama. This was supposed to be a romantic, relaxing getaway. Instead, we got cold food, long lines, bad shows, tech glitches, unusable credits, and a broken toilet. The only thing that worked reliably was our room key--and even that felt like a gamble. To their credit, the staff offered us a 25-minute couples massage (after the spa debacle) and a room upgrade on a future stay. Thanks, but no thanks. You don't get a redo on a ruined vacation. Final verdict: Save yourself the heartbreak. Hard Rock Cancun? More like Hard Pass.

Shitty management, terrible dated amenities. Just go anywhere else. Some guy with a three letter name (Les?) read me the riot act and soured my 3 night stay. Didn't seem to think all guests are equal. Will never stay here again. Hope this place goes the way of everything kitsch.

    Mold in sheets

Our room smelled like mildew and had mold (which we reported), but the staff did nothing about it. A quick check on TripAdvisor shows that many others had mold issues in their rooms too. We paid for ocean view rooms, but they weren't available when we arrived, and no accommodation or refund was offered for the downgrade. The staff's behavior was appalling: they stole from our rooms, didn't change the sheets, followed our group around the hotel in an intimidating manner, and harassed us for tips, despite us tipping $25-$50 USD per meal. The staff lies about everything, so document every moment you can. We felt unsafe the entire time and will never stay at a Hard Rock establishment again.

What a mess! It is hard to believe that this hotel is part of an international chain. This is "spring break" 365 days a year. If you come - not recommended - do not consume any food and drink only beverages that come from closed containers. I feel very bad for the staff members who are trying hard.

And with billboards offering services directly to your room and a hospital system where you only go if you're sick. The "grey area" is a pretty loose term. The entire hotel is illuminated with L.E.D.'s. The space is immaculate. It was 1/4 mile from the room to the lobby. The ballrooms and convention spaces are like a stadium. (Indoors or outdoors). The public bus arrives every (2) minutes and are often full. It is approximately .50 US to go 30 miles downtown. Just looking at the creative ideas a child could write a book . "This ain't Tijuana". The malls and beaches are protected by federal soldiers and the streets have checkpoints every mile. They obtain your information and destination. If something is off a militia is on alert. In NOLA people go missing all the time. They get discovered weeks later. Would never happen in Mexico . A drunk guy might get out the box, but it is very controlled. Wonderful hotel! We stayed twice, three years apart and both times were fantastic!…read moreWe came here when my fiancé and I first started dating then again for our anniversary. Every single person that works at this property is out of this world! Kind, helpful and always going above and beyond to make things memorable! There's always a little bit of construction because they're renovating, so plan accordingly by calling with them to make sure the areas you want open, are open. The new speakeasy is super cute. We visited there one evening and have the best time and service! This isn't the same restaurant where you go to breakfast but at night is a Spanish tapas restaurant. Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

The spa was fantastic, offering step-by-step guidance through the dry sauna, steam room, and both warm and cool pools-such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel sits right on the beach with breathtaking views and features several pools, including one with a fun swim-up bar. Dining options were excellent, with several restaurants to choose from, including Mediterranean, Mexican, buffet, Asian, sushi, steakhouse, and American cuisine. Our room was fantastic, with a rainfall shower, comfortable beds, prompt housekeeping, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service. We also enjoyed live entertainment and a night club on the property, yet it remained wonderfully quiet when we wanted to relax. We loved the aromatherapy --it was such a thoughtful touch. The location is very convenient: close to a pharmacy, just across the street from a shopping mall with a mix of upscale and casual dining and shops, and only 10-15 minutes from Cancun's vibrant club zone. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.

They don't have the fancy frappes or over-the-top drinks, but their "Special Coffee" (fresh coffee mixed with cinnamon and honey) is perfect. Simple, warm, and honestly better than anything blended. They have several options of the usual themed restaurants. Casa Madra is the Mexican one and probably the least interesting, there were was an odd lack of salt on the chips and food :-) The Japanese combo restaurant (sushi and hibachi) appears confusing to customers and staff :-) Much of the sushi related menu appears to have an additional cost. I was told that the California Roll roll was extra, but the sashimi platter had a roll? The Diakon Maki was great. No chopsticks available for some reason close to closing? Hibachi was okay but I was missing the "yum yum sauce" :-) The unique beach side Delphina restaurant is probably the best and have some good dishes. Had a great red snapper catch of the day at the Hana restaurant. Two restaurants double for buffet style breakfast serving. The one at the Mexican restaurant is open to the outdoors, but they have hawk trainers to keep the birds away :-) The Champions sport bar is out by the main entrance door to the left. Open 12m to 12am. Damien is great. Pro tip: get a latte from the main lobby and top off with Bailey from the sports bar before the lobby bar opens at 4pm : Janssen has some cool tricks and drinks at the lobby bar :-) Very clean, staff of all levels picking up things everywhere. There is turn down service here, which I wasn't expecting. Large number families with kids, which didn't brother us. Count on a destination wedding party over a weekend stay :-) Coming here between the two US holidays (Thanksgiving & Xmas) there is a dip of occupancy to around 50% it appears. All in all positive and not a bad place to burn your Marriott points in my mind. It may not be a high-end all inclusive resort but will fit many just fine :-)

The reality was the exact opposite. Check-in took over an hour because staff claimed they couldn't find our Expedia reservation. Another person in our group had already paid for services through the resort's website but was repeatedly asked for additional payment. Our group spent an extra $1,000 on upgrades hoping to improve the experience. It didn't. The rooms were small, outdated, dirty, and not worth the extra cost. The food was terrible. We expected mixed quality based on reviews, but much of it was barely edible. Making dinner reservations felt intentionally difficult, and once we finally secured them, we were forced to sign agreements acknowledging additional fees if we were late. The biggest disappointment was the complete lack of atmosphere. There was very little music, almost no nightlife, and most activities shut down before 11 PM. We ended up leaving the resort almost every night so the boys could find entertainment elsewhere. What frustrates me most is how misleading the marketing is compared to the actual experience. After more than 15 years of booking travel through Expedia, I'm genuinely disappointed that Expedia continues to partner with and promote a resort that feels built around false advertising, upselling, and disappointing guests. We trusted the Expedia brand, and this resort fell far short of the experience it promised. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

It had the best reviews for what we, as a family, needed. The whole point of the trip was to take our family, including abuelos, on a vacation everyone would enjoy. Being abuelos' first time at an all-inclusive, it exceeded their expectations and they loved the experience. They were able to get food and drinks as they pleased. For the kids, all they needed was a kid friendly pool, other kids to play around and they were happy. However, Fiesta Americana Condesa also offers a kids club from toddlers to teens. I do want to highlight how EVERYONE ( all staff) were exceptional from the moment we step foot on the property to the time we left. For our family, every eatery visited was well run, again all staff was super friendly and more than helpful with some even go your of their way to accommodate for reasonable food preferences, specifically, the Buffet. Are there things that can improve? Yes, of course there are, just as with any other hotel. Some of the fixtures might need updates, the gym could use 40 -45 lb (18-20kg) dumbbells and recovery equipment, Sushi Corner MOST DEFINITELY HAS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT and lastly, there could be more adult activities.
