Went to a conference in the adjacent center, which is easily accessible through the hotel lobby. This is a medium-priced hotel a block from the beach in Cancun. It is still very much at the center of the hotel block and has easy beach access. The rooms are basic, but good sized with a bathroom. The rooms are clean, and they have a lobby and rooftop bar with a good variety of refreshments. The breakfast has cold and hot items. The scrambled egg and sausage is good, and they have various drinks such as juice, coffee, ... and also yogurt. The TV has limited set of channels and most of them are in Spanish (as you would expect). The staff was very friendly.

Aloft Cancun Review - 8-Day Stay I spent 8 days at Aloft Cancun, and overall, it was a chill stay with a few standout moments and a couple of missed opportunities. Let's start with the good: Luis, my housekeeper, was AMAZING. Always had my room spotless--even with me taking 2-3 showers a day between day parties and late-night outings. The water temperature was consistent my entire stay, which honestly made a big difference. Hot and reliable every single time. The rooftop was a vibe... kind of. They have a happy hour up there, which was nice when I managed to catch it--good drinks, great view, and a solid atmosphere. BUT every time I went up to actually relax or get some pics, it was packed with kids in the pool, which threw off the vibe a bit. Would've loved if there were some adult-only hours to really enjoy the space. The location is A1--close to clubs, restaurants, pharmacies, convenience stores, and everything else you might need. And yes, you can Uber Eats, which came in clutch after long nights when I wasn't in the mood to move. Would I stay again? Possibly--with hopes that the rooftop gets a little more grown-folk-friendly. But shoutout again to Luis and the hot showers. That alone gave this trip a gold star.

Not the typical Marriott experience when checking in. Had to go through some extra steps due to the fact that this was a international check in. Hotel staff was super friendly. We frequently come to Mexico but wanted to stay here for one night since our all inclusive wouldn't be ready until tomorrow night. We were assisted with our bags and given complimentary drinks at check in. We weren't acknowledged for our Marriott platinum status or offered any upgrades or perks. Hotel does offers free drinks and free breakfast. Pros - free breakfast , free drinks ,friendly staff , close to everything in downtown Cancun Cons- rooms are dated , no Marriott perks

Some maintenance lacking but the room was clean. When I called the front desk about the toilet that took a long time to refill with water, up came a cheery maintenance guy who fixed things quickly. Location is smack in the densest club hotspot in Zona Hotelera--Hard Rock and CocoBongo nearby. Lots of delicious options nearby, including Taco Rigo, Hiroya Ramen and Alebris Beach Club and Bar. Staff are super friendly and offered a Happy 13 hour bracelet for free house pours at the hotel bar! One issue is they are not servicing the rooms during the pandemic and you need to call reception for towels and water. I attempted to get water a few times and never got anything delivered

Lively Hotel Zone area, very close to the hotel.

We loved Aloft Cancun! My husband & I stayed there for only one night, due to a flight situation. However next time we are in Cancun, we will definitely stay at Aloft and for many more days. The hotel is in the heart of the famous Hotel Zone. Everything is within walking distance: Señor Frogs, The City, La Vaquita, Mandala, and the iconic Coco Bongos. There are also nice shops, restaurants and a nice shopping plaza that sold $1 beverages! The Hotel Zone is very lively & fun & energetic. It felt totally safe as well. The hotel is very good. The elevators were on the slow side. The rooftop pool is great with great views of the city below. I wish the pool area had more chairs, tables & sun umbrellas. There is a bar area but no one was tending it. The hotel has free cocktails in the lobby for those who drink. The hotel staff is very nice. Gustavo at the front desk area was very helpful. The best thing about this hotel is its location. Not only in the heart of the Hotel Zone, but also right across the street from the public beach. The second best thing was the price: very affordable! Not a 5-star hotel, but it's clean, decent, safe & has a rooftop pool & free drinks. Can't get much better than that for the price! We can't wait to go back to Cancun & stay longer at Aloft.

Nope. Marriott ought to be ashamed. This place is a two star hotel hands down. I'm assuming the only reason why Marriott purchased this was because it's connected to some kind of convention/conference center. This joker needs to be gutted and redone. The furniture is chipped, torn up, and probably from a salvation army collection from the '90s. Thee views are absolutely terrible, the shower needs to be blown up, and the rooms need to be repainted and redecorated. The alarm clock was from 1982, housekeeping didn't even bother to refill the shower gel/ shampoo/conditioner containers in the bathroom, the soap and towel hooks were rusting, and the shower grout was stained (pink- ekk) and absolutely disgusting - you have to bring shower shoes if you're staying in this place. I imagine this is for 18-year-olds that have escaped from their parents and their first vacation. They have a free happy hour in the afternoon at the hotel lobby bar. The only good thing about this place is that I did not see any bugs and I was not robbed or kidnapped during the night. Good luck.

Overall this hotel was great! Our room was very spacious and clean upon arrival. The showers are nice and clean. The staff was excellent great English and the bell boys are very welcoming. The bar has great options open most of the day, the breakfast is decent they have little options. The rooftop pool is very nice and was mostly private during our 4 day stay, the view is nice and there are 2 different beaches walking distance. They provide beach towels if you ask. We had to ask for a hair dryer, mini fridge and iron they were very quick to help and bring it to the room. The hotel is so close to the nightclubs which is awesome. They have a pool table and a nice small lobby. This hotel is definitely worth the cost. Recommended !

The bed was ok. Pillows were decent. We slept good cause the humidity just sucks the life from you.

I would NEVER stay here again. Let's just say this first and put it all out there. I booked this hotel on Travelocity.. it was all lies. The pool was not was is pictured! Yellow hazard taped against all the balcony. The "pool was very small. Maybe about 4.5 feet. They do have a bartender. Decent music. And cabanas are free it's just first come first serve. So got to get there early. Plenty of space to lay out on as well but like hard to get towels... The room with a "Lagoon" view was a joke. I was barely able see. I think we stayed on the 7th floor. The ac was absolutely freezing in the room which I guess can be a plus since we went in the middle of summer. And it was uncomfortably hot and humid. Now something I didn't take lightly was how disgusting the showers are here, how horrible the " cleaning ladies did". And how scarce it was to call 4X to get towels and clean bottled water!! Like really. I saw these ladies just chillin doing nothing - and we received semi wet towel. They must have been directly from the dryer because they still were damp. Also- The toilet smell reeked of booty smells! Like it really smelled like someone continually dropped a poooo in there. Because it was raunchy smell- filled The whole room. All the Time. I gagged half the time. You also have to leave your room key in this slide, too keep lights on which was really wierd.. And the room was extremely dark!! And the floors were freezing and it was so frustrating when your thousand of miles away. As being apart of a Marriott linked hotel. I would have expected wayyyy more then this poor excuse to be called a hotel !!!! Absolutely the worst stay of my life. The location was decent/ I'll give it that. Because your about 5 min from a beach. And 10 min walking distance from the downtown party area. Plus more beaches around the area, the beaches are very clean, water is so warm and it's like bath water, tons of tourists and places to see. Yet it was nice and quiet. I just had to complain about those "amenities " mentioned above, I think those are equally important. Front desk guys were nice. Most knew English that was comforting. Other then that. I would not recommend to stay here. I would definitely stay at an all inclusive or a different hotel and pay a little more for better amenities and nice pool to relax by.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

Before booking, I was assured this was a quality all-inclusive resort offering premium alcohol and an elevated experience. That could not have been further from the truth. Upon arrival, the property looked nothing like what was advertised. There was essentially one bar, and it was extremely underwhelming--no premium alcohol options at all. This alone was a huge red flag and not what was promised. Things only got worse from there. While asking about adult/VIP amenities (specifically the Altitude breakfast), a staff member followed us and told us we needed to pay $20 to make a reservation. This made no sense since we had already paid for an all-inclusive experience. It later became clear this was a manipulative tactic to lure us into a timeshare presentation. We were never properly informed--just misled and pressured. We booked an Altitude Oceanfront Corner Suite, expecting a premium oceanfront experience. Instead, the room had a clear view of the parking garage and city--this was, at best, a partial ocean view. When we complained, staff came up and continued to misrepresent the room, insisting it was oceanfront when it clearly was not. It felt dishonest and dismissive. To make matters worse, the room's air conditioning did not work. We were on a top floor with direct sun exposure, and the room was unbearably hot. Maintenance attempted to fix it, but it remained broken. At that point, after everything else we experienced, staying was not even an option. The food situation was equally disappointing. The buffet had extremely limited options--mostly just pizza and mussels. For an all-inclusive resort, this was unacceptable and far below expectations. Thankfully, Expedia was able to step in, witness part of what was happening, and relocate us to Hyatt Ziva Cancun, which was a completely different (and much better) experience. Overall, this stay felt like one continuous attempt to mislead and upsell. From false advertising to manipulative tactics and poor accommodations, nothing about this experience aligned with what was promised. I strongly recommend booking elsewhere if you want a genuine all-inclusive experience. This property is not what it claims to be.

The staff was very friendly and tried to help with our request. The room was a junior suite with an ocean view. It was comfortable and our room attendant did a great job. The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. Over all I would recommend this RIU.

Our previous hotel left a lot to be desired, so this was a very welcome change. From the entrance way I was impressed with the decor walking through the garden and pool area I was in awe of how beautiful everything was. The room was immaculately clean, and while it was a standard room it was very nice and spacious and the marble flooring was such a nice touch. The shower was huge !!! We got in late so I assumed finding food would be a struggle , wrong again they offered 3 dining options late night as well as room service!!! The restaurant we found had amazing drinks and the food was so fresh and good ugh ! The restaurant was Cafe Urbano . The next morning we woke up and we were able to have a delicious breakfast with plenty of options including fresh fruit and let me tell you that in room coffee is also amazing! I honestly cannot wait to return to Cancun. I would definitely stay at this resort again. I've stayed at a several of hotels in Cancun and this is on the list of must return!!

That's someone I will take on my team anytime. During our stay, we had several glitches, and Fidel provided a professional outlet for us to express ourselves while maintaining brand standards. He has a difficult job and does it very well. BANQUETS REVIEW My friends hosted a Private pool party at Presidente InterContinental Cancun in August went on without a hitch. The pool area, cabanas, and buffet stations were immaculate . Despite the rain, we had a fabulous time. One star deduction for not being prepared for my food allergies which the catering/ banquet staff was aware of for more than three weeks. Thankfully, the staffed hurried to find two items that I could eat. They covered for the below par communication and made it work for me to have a chicken breast and two slices of steak which were both cooked properly and were flavorful. Most importantly, the wedding couple was not impacted. They had a wonderful time.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. We arrived early, 7:30AM and our private transportation picked us up after about 15-20 minutes after arriving. After a quick drive to the resort, we checked in. No welcome towel service nor welcome drink, but we received a warm neck wrap. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready until 11:30AM, so we walked around to explore the property and have breakfast. We received a text message from the lobby that our room was ready and to return to the front desk. We were told our room number and that our luggage would be delivered shortly. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean, clean, stocked with snacks and drinks ,and over all nice. We unpacked ourselves and headed to the pool. While we were on the way, we met our butler who's desk is located in the hallway of the elevators. At that time we were connected to a WhatsApp group text. Then we returned to our room with our butler, who reviewed the amenities and light switches in our room. We ate at all the restaurants. We went to Blanc and Terraza for breakfast and our 2 favorite restaurants for dinner were Bella and Yama. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, Terraza and Yama served us cold food, as if they were sitting out too long. We tried scheduling room service breakfast and they were behind in schedule 30-40 minutes. We were underwhelmed as the room service menu as it wasn't as grand as the other palace resorts; we were looking forward to the chocolate cake; which wasn't available. The K'akau, coffee shop was the best to relieve our chocolate cravings. The main pool lounge chairs were always taken, so get there early. We relaxed at all the pools and depending on the day had our favorite. The beach is beautiful and the lifeguard at the tower was always welcoming and helpful to get us lounge chairs. The spa services and hydrotherapy were wonderful, but we were disappointed that the men and women were separated in the pool and jacuzzi areas. We ran into difficulties with our dinner and spa bookings. We made prior arrangements with our pre-concierge, but when we wanted to change our schedule, the on site concierge didn't have access to canceling them. We were told to email our pre-concierge to ask her to delete them from the system. Our pre-concierge also didn't confirm our restaurant bookings for certain days and so we had to ask our Butler if they were booked. What was the most disappointing was the evening entertainment. We were looking forward to certain shows/performances and then a few hours before the scheduled time, seeing the entertainment was removed and replaced with something mundane. We've been to Sun Palace, another adult only resort, down the road and after our experience at Le Blanc, we actually prefer Sun Palace over Le Blanc. From our experience.. Le Blanc is a great place if you enjoy the spa, peace and quiet, and want to just chill and lounge. But if you want a little more excitement, fun, music, and meet people and have great conversations, Sun Palace is the place. Our Butler, Rene on the 3rd floor was awesome. He made our anniversary special. Safety: We felt safe. When we arrived at the resort after walking down the hotel zone, security always checked us in. When we arrived via taxi or uber, they did the same thing. If you walked out to the beach, you have to scan your bracelet to exit the gate and also scan it the when you enter back onto the resort property. Elevators: There are 3 elevators and during our stay, 1 was always out of order. One day, 2 elevators were out of order. Luckily, we were only on the 3rd floor, so we often took the stairs. The stairwell does need more lighting, it is dark, so watch your step.

They are constantly cleaning the resort and are more than helpful with anything you ever need. There is a 24 hour bar that also has sandwiches, fruit, nachos, and other things to eat anytime you are hungry. We loved this bar and loved the bartenders the best! The only reason I gave it a four instead of a five is, I feel like it needs some of its own activities amped up. The only activities we really had here were simple little ones at the pool or at the area where people can sit at a theater type place. If you want a really great time, you can be shuttle to another RIU property, which is so much fun!

We stayed in the small building this time. There's also two ocean sides: rocky (near beach volleyball is played and good for collecting shells) and non-rocky side (water is clear and great for body surfing). There is a spa and gym on-site. Multiple pools and bars. Pros: Gorgeous ocean views. Great hotel layout with lots of palm trees. Very clean. Rooms were spacious. Bed was comfy. The mini fridge was packed with water bottles, pop, and beer. I had a balcony that overlooked the pool and ocean, which I loved. Staff are very nice. Band/singer that plays before the show were great. Food was good. Good selection of food options. Good selection of restaurant options. Each restaurant posts a menu (in multiple languages) for the day's meals. Buffet over looks ocean. Neutral/meh: this hotel loves their parties. Every day there's a different theme. Busses take people to the RIU Caribe. There is a discotech that opens after the evening's show. Restaurants work on a beeper system since they do not take reservations. Alcoholic drinks can be strong. Evening shows were OK some nights. Cons: when we checked in, my room was not ready. They told me that they woukd email me when it was ready (did not receive). Did eventually get my room. While they had activities (listed on app), not all of them were played/hard to find. If it's super windy out, the elevators don't go pass floor 2 in the small building. You have to use the stairs. We came on a windy day and one of the workers allowed us to use the service elevator because we didn't want to lug our luggage up to the 3rd floor. Can hear your neighbors upstairs and can hear people out in the hall. Overall, we had a great time!

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.
