I had an old fashioned while the wife had their cherry cola old fashioned. Both were really good. We had amaro to end the evening and headed out. The 4 drinks ran about $130. Our last night in Vegas we had ended it at Hard Shake on the 23rd floor of the Waldorf Astoria. The view of the strip was amazing! Service, however was another story. Our server was nice, but she never came back and when she did it was a good 30 mins later. We ordered a Hugo Spritz (ok needed more refining), toro nigiri and sake nigiri. How can 4 pieces of sushi take 45 mins to get? Service was crazy slow. I think it took me asking twice and 40 mins before we got water and I couldn't drink it, it tasted rancid. The nigiri was good but not life changing for the cost. 4 pieces of nigiri and 1 drink $98. Know you are paying just for the view. We still had a good time but service and food was lack luster. read more

This is a hidden gem! Extraordinary service, amazingly good food, unbelievable views, and exceptional drinks. Hilton Waldorf Astoria has a beautiful spot on their 23rd floor. You are greeted by an attentive staff as you exit the elevator and are treated like VIP. I came with a group of 10 and were quickly accommodated although we didn't have reservations. Our server was Anthony and he took great care of us. We never felt delayed and drinks and food came quickly. I believe we ordered just about everything on the menu and all of it was great. November 2025: My husband and I went to Hard Shake to celebrate our anniversary with a few cocktails. I chose Hard Shake because the photos I saw online looked amazing and honestly, my experience matched what I saw! The bartender was amazingly talented- we both enjoyed our cocktails and we really enjoyed sitting at the bar! The bar is beautiful. Do try a cocktail. Any place can open a bottle that they didn't make so why pay for that? Using a few ingredients to create a tasty blend, ie gin, vodka, and lillet blanc, perfect. The small bites are playful. Ossetra caviar, crème fraiche and chives on smashed, crispy tater tots ("potato and caviar"). It's a great take on the trend of using potato chips as the handhold able base and it just works. For a bite of the season, the morel and chanterelle mushroom arancini with a truffle infused cheese and truffle aioli. An umami bomb that screams Fall. Ultra lounge pricing. Cocktails $24-$50. Food $20-$60. Hey it's Vegas. The perfect starting point for an elegant evening. Look, just because I spend so much time in Vegas and experience it as a local doesn't mean I can't enjoy all the city has to offer. Came here past Saturday. I like the new remodel at the Waldorf Astoria's rooftop bar. It has the most breathtaking views of the strip. The cocktails are not bad, again it is Vegas so it will be slightly more pricey. We had reservations due to our party being large (6 people) and were seated right away. Curiousity drove me to Hard Shake, the Waldorf Astoria's revamp of the former Mandarin Oriental Skybar space. After reservation check-in and a brief wait, was escorted by the pleasant hostess to a prime viewing table right at the floor-to-ceiling windows facing north. Atmosphere: Went after nightfall, so my focus was mostly directed out the window to take in the neon (and LED) urban scenery. Guests received complimentary snacks; mine were chicharrónes and a variety of pitted olives. Cariño ($24): Adequate liquid volume, smooth and creamy, sweet enough without being cloying with hints of baking spices. Honey Shrimp ($39): Five large tails, good snappiness, sweet, didn't taste much chili contrast, topped by three fabulous and delicate tuile butterflies. Value: YOLO pricing, IMO. Even if they are in line with other upscale Strip casinos, I haven't yet been completely desensitized to the massive increase for cocktails and food at upscale hotels on the Strip. While waiting for a friend to arrive, was greeted by Mikala who was super friendly and when asked about the drink menu, took the time to converse and explain the recent opening, renovation and grand opening. Located on the top floor in the Waldorf Astoria, this brand new bar gives cool vibes and spectacular views of the strip! I ordered a mocktail called Riverie, which tasted refreshing and flavorful! I also ordered their toro, 4 small pieces of sushi, and their hummus with veggies and toasted pita triangles, also outstanding! The service fell short with attentiveness. I had to flag our server down a few times. For the prices they charge, I expect better service. Maybe, next time it'll improve. Great atmosphere! Worth going for the outrageous strip views! Was excited to try the remodel of SkyBar. The design is sleek and upscale, and the view is breathtaking as before. A revamped menu, unfortunately, isn't going to work. In my opinion. Gone are the fun cocktails that made for a unique experience. Prices for drinks are on par with other Strip lounges. Food, however, has missed the mark. The bar had just opened, or reopened, so the menus were brand new. Descriptions were confusing, and I guess they are shooting for a gastronomy experience and not a true upscale lounge appetizer menu. I had their version of a Negroni, which was good but not described as Negroni on the menu. My $26 tuna appetizer turned out to be a "cigar". It looked cool but the actual amount of food in it was laughable. I was expecting at least a decent amount of food for $26. Employees were friendly and were gracious in answering my questions. I regret not voicing my disappointment in the "cigar". You get bar snacks, which were good. High prices in a lounge like this can be justified if the food is at least a decent amount for the price. read more

More like Hard SHAKEDOWN ... Hard PASS. This is a major downgrade from the previous Skybar (cocktail menu was much better). No longer worth coming here, overpriced (charging twice the prior cocktail prices), and lack of diversity on the cocktail menu. Nothing but pure gouging here, would recommend Skyfall at the W, or plenty of nice bars next door at Aria. read more
