A couple of weeks ago I asked, as I usually do, that they pat my burger a bit because I don't like it greasy - the guy that took my order said he didn't know what I was talking about. I explained. He said he had never heard of such and couldn't do that, said he been working there 5 years and never been asked that. I assured him I had been doing that at ALL Five Guys I'd been to, including the one we were standing in, and all he had to do was turn around & ask the cook. Finally he agreed but yet I never saw him do it and I've been coming to this particular restaurant since they opened in Shallotte and I've never seen him. This afternoon I stopped by and ordered a cheeseburger (single patty) and regular fries. The lady taking the order was pleasant and had no issue with asking it to be patted after cooking. However, when I got to the table with my order I couldn't find the hamburger! Oh there was a piece there but it didn't even cover half the bun! I took it back to the counter and showed it to a girl that was cooking (as the lady at the register was cleaning the floor); the gal said she'd get the manager. The "manager" appeared - probably 18 years old. I explained to her my issue of the small hamburger and she literally just stared at me and said, "that's a single patty." I told her I didn't think it was exactly that and I was extremely disappointed that I had just paid $11 for 3 slices of tomatoes, lettuce and half a hamburger patty. She just stared at me and said, "what do you want me to do about it - that's our patty. It's a single burger". I told her I come in regularly and usually not this much of an issue but that their hamburgers have been getting smaller and that today it just was not acceptable. She actually shrugged her shoulders and stared at me when I said, "I have been coming here for a while and I won't be back. So I guess you don't care if you lose a regular customer?" Again, a shrug. Honestly, there were 3 bites and fries. Guess I'll vote with my wallet! On another note, check out the health report: Five Guys is generally not healthier than McDonald's. While Five Guys uses fresh, non-frozen beef and real ingredients, their portion sizes and preparation methods result in significantly higher calorie, saturated fat, and sodium counts.

I had the Limited time Sausage, cheese peppers and onions biscuit, after the first bite it reminded me of eating hotdogs with a slice of cheddar cheese when i was a kid. but elevated!!! I felt something! (Ratatouille type emotion iykyk) I thought the Biscuit compliments the other ingredients; the taste of the biscuit doesn't overtake the other ingredient specialties. I was skeptical of affordability, all my personal boxes seem to be checked, and everything seemed balanced and fair in my opinion! Lastly what really impressed me, was the overall cohesiveness in design to flow. Even the parking cones were uniform blue! I feel like that should be the blueprint of the future in different aspects in regard to tailored Fast-Food Chains. "Fast food" feels almost like a wrong category. How Biscuitville focused on our local community and builds around that shows, they intend to be here for the long haul. Its like when you go out to hunt and your lady is already prepping for the meal, knowing you'll be back with something good. So, ambiance was Steller, Biscuitville believes in Shallotte, so I hope Shallotte can believe in Biscuitville! if not, I do. In sickness and in health. Hi Everyone, We rode…read moreby Biscuitville in Shallotte NC on our way to diner at Jerome's Restaurant and I asked everyone in our vehicle "What is Biscuitville?", and heard "I'm not sure, they just opened." Well folks, we found out, that very next morning that Biscuitville is a delicious, reasonably priced breakfast or lunch depending upon your preference, that is a delightful dinning experience. From the well appointed, gray, black, and silver modern decor, to ordering at their counter, with multiple "yes, ma'am", and "yes, sir" to "my pleasure" when replying to your request, to the speed with which they made things happen was unique, in our experience. For instance, when we were referred to the counter to get our coffee, there was none there, while we were looking at each other as if we missed something, "Do you see it?" with a "Ah, no", unaware reply. But within one minute our fresh brewed coffee jug appeared on that very counter. Yea, that's right, a jug! With a smile and happy note of verbal enthusiasm, "freshly brewed folks, just for you, enjoy!" as she slapped the jug on the top lid. And lickidy split, our food was on the table, within 45 seconds after that; bing, bang, boom! It was a delightful human interaction from hearing about our counter Server Bradley's five-year-old daughter, who at 4:30 AM wanted to go to Biscuitville with her Mother. And her Mother's response to her daughter, "you needed to go back to bed now, honey" with a loving Mother's patience. Bradley sharing this very human morning wake up call along with the speed of service, and the delicious food gave us both a thrill for breakfast as our food was hot, tasty, and Oh..., so good. Which let's face it, is hard to pull off, because it's breakfast. So how did the biscuits taste? Good question, you baited, interested party, you! Buttery, light, and oh... so right for a non-stop taste excitement in flavor-town. Yea, thats right, they were fantastic and it was a great meal! Now just imagine for a minute that your sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit was $6.99 and your three pancakes, two scrambled eggs, and sausage patty were $6.79 and your bill was $17.39 with 2 cups of coffee and sales tax. Oh my, we are not in Kanas anymore, Toto! Their biscuits earned our coveted two thumbs up award. Their three pancakes were about 2 1/2 times the size of silver dollar pancakes with the two scrambled eggs and their delectable sausage along with a cup of Joe, it was an invigorating and very satisfying morning meal. This was all delivered with delightful and very respectful people serving your meal. Very tasty and delicious meals that were thoroughly enjoyed. And no sticker shock for you to choke on after your breakfast. So What's not so like? We can highly recommend that you stop by Biscuitville in Shallotte, North Carolina or anywhere in Eastern North Carolina. That's right folks, Charlotte, Raleigh, and most especially New York City are not invited to this wonderfully delightful breakfast experience but you are, you lucky, few, in Eastern North Carolina, you.
