Food and service were great! We sat at the bar and it was clear that this team has a good flow going. They work well with each other and communicate effectively. Dustin, Christopher and the other lady on the grill (whose name I couldn't catch) were especially good at working together. Susan was our primary server and she was quick and friendly! read more

The service is absolutely ridiculous. The workers are have to respect for the customers and do not coordinate with each other. i told them i had a pickup order 3 times 3 different people. and they said your gonna have to wait but the whole time my food was pushed in the corner COLD. Okay, it is a Waffle House, I was not expecting much. We just had dinner here...the service was very good. I had Chicken Philly Texas Toast and wife had Chocolate Chip Waffles and sausage. The food was excellent, the Chicken Philly Texas Toast was a chicken breast on toast with cheese and onions, the chicken was tender and melted in my mouth, very good! Tasted wife's Chocolate Chip Waffles, they were excellent too. I have been to other Waffle House locations, but this is the best one I have ever been to and I will be back! First off if this was all about the food and only the food bd the cooks it would without a doubt be a perfect 10 but I have to include the service of the servers. So, with that being said it drops it to a 2 maybe a 2.5. But I don't understand what business in this world complains about giving a buying customer freaking butter???? I'm sure if your business knew I'd be writing this review they would have immediately gave me that extra butter instead of complaining and making the comment that "you'll need to visit the grocery store for that amount of butter!!!" Has your old miserable self really lost it to the point that you believe you can make those kind of comments? That attitude is exactly why you don't get a tip either! No one greeted us when we arrived, we assumed the other couple wanted a booth. After that the waitress completely ignored us. Walked past us several times. First of all, I'm not one to give bad reviews unless absolutely necessary. My family loves Waffle House and we have a very good one where we live. But this one was awful! Unfortunately, we got a late start on a Sunday morning and most of the local places were no longer serving breakfast. We really wanted breakfast, so we found the closest Waffle House. It had a rating of 90. Yuck! And the floor was disgusting. Even the waitresses were talking about how wet the floor was. I was afraid someone was going to fall. They were very busy at first, but then, there was a lull with plenty of time to mop up the floor. But no one seemed to care. I just had to look the other way so I wouldn't continue to be grossed out. The waitresses were nice, but one was a bit loud and annoying. I would not go back to this Waffle House. Here's hoping that no one gets sick! read more

On a road trip with my boyfriend, and we just had breakfast here. His water glass was dirty, and his steak too tough and flavorless to eat. Fortunately, our waitress - who was friendly and efficient - warned him (and at least one other couple) against the grits, which are apparently "always runny." My eggs had an eyelash in them, meanwhile, and my ham was burned. On the bright side, the tomato slices were nice and fresh, and the toast tasty. My boyfriend and I agreed that the hashbrowns were good, too. We've both been to a number of Waffle Houses in the past, so we thought we knew what to expect. However, the prices were surprisingly high. The restaurant was out of orange juice, and perhaps out of water pitchers, too, since our waitress refilled our waters by bringing over a regular cup of tapwater and pouring half in his glass and half in mine. The menu seemed more than usually limited - no omelets, and despite the menu's proud claim that this was the "home of the sweet cream waffle," nothing remotely similar to a sweet cream waffle listed as available for purchase. My husband and I ate at this Waffle House this morning and I wanted to recognize what a great job their staff did. It was packed in there and they all remained calm & professional despite being completely full & having a wait list for tables. The staff never stopped working- from waitresses to cooks to clean up they all did their jobs with a smile. Above all, everyone worked together as a team- I can't imagine how their set-up would work if even one person wasn't working with the rest of the staff-there would be a complete breakdown of the system. The food came out quickly, exactly as we ordered it and delicious. Not only was the staff serving the restaurant patrons - they were also doing to-go orders and somehow managed to work these seamlessly into the huge amount of orders they already had. I have no idea if this crew has worked together a long time or just met each other- their work ethic was impressive and honestly that is something you don't see very often these days. We will definitely be returning for breakfast again soon! read more

We were very disappointed. Cook staff member cursed when we asked for sausage and wheat toast. Waitress did average service. Tables were left dirty with plates for long periods of time. Bathroom was clean and well decorated for a Waffle House. They do not offer WiFi even McDonald's offer WiFi. They do not off military discount. read more

Stopped in for breakfast with my dad and a friend before some golf on a cool Christmas Eve morning. You might expect some of the staff would want to be somewhere else around the holidays. Not this group. They ALL welcomed us cheerfully and warmly. It shocked a few people as they came in and sat down. It didn't stop there as you could tell they had a good team working together they way they talked. This made this experience different than you typical diner. The food was on point. Definitely try the cheesy eggs and toss in a little salt and pepper. Sausage and bacon never disappoints! I'm also a big fan of the Texas Bacon Cheesesteak. Mmmm my mouth is watering already. Be adventurous with the way you dress up your hash browns. Have you ever tried the biscuits and gravy? Give them a shot and order them as soon as you sit down so they can come out as something of an appetizer. Who knew?! read more

Waffle House is a bit underrated. Sure, there are sometimes sketchy people and high school drop out waitresses but the food really isn't that bad. Even if you're looking for a semi healthy option, you can always go for eggs, grilled chicken, and salads! My all time favorite is their waffles though! Can't really mess up a waffle, I just love them! Over all, I think the while company needs some updating and modernizing. They are almost a retro company by accident just because they've never changed anything. But the food is not so bad and you can usually get some good stories out of the staff. read more

We stopped in Shallotte at the Waffle House. This place was full of flies and the tables were nasty on August 13th when we stopped by on our way to vacation. I have been in many Waffle Houses with very kind and friendly employees and have never been in one such as this. The employees where very disrespectful by not acknowledging we where there and never ask if we would like to order anything. The one black guy who is an employee there never spoke or ask if we would like to order. Maybe he thought that he would lose his job if he spoke to his own race. The other white female employees were sitting at a table laughing and talking and never ask if they could help. One older female came up and took one white male's order and she looked as if she wanted to ask what were we doing there. But she never offer to take our order after she took the white male's order. The cook at the grill was playing around and the only employee that spoke was the female who was going around spraying flies with bleach in a spray bottle. Little did they know that I had my recorder on just in case they lie and say they offer to serve us. All of the employees were white except the one black. After all of this we left and walked over to the Bojangles next to them and was greeted with kindness. Let's see how it goes when I take the Media back with cameras live.
