This is a pretty new location. So far, they've always been quick and I haven't any problems.

This place sounded pretty good online and we wanted to visit downtown so we gave it a try…read more Positives: we were seated immediately and the staff was all very friendly. The place is big inside and cute. Negatives: food options seem a bit limited, especially if you don't eat pork or lots of carbs/sugar. No fancy coffee drinks. I was going to try their corned beef hash but learned it was from a can instead of homemade. I went for the veggie & cheese omelet (minus peppers). There was no option on type of cheese, just American. The omelet was filled, which was nice, but it seemed at least the mushrooms weren't fresh and were also canned. The grits were pretty good, not sure why mine came in a bowl (which I liked). But my partner's were on the plate with his omelet. He ordered one with sausage, which he said was ok, but he didn't love it due to the type of cheese. We didn't try the coffee as we prefer cold brew or cappuccino, so we stuck with water. Our server was very nice and came back often. This just isn't really our type of establishment, so I do not see us returning or recommending.

I usually get omelettes with sausage and cheese! So tasty to enjoy! Dining in or taking out, its a blast!

As a native Florida boy this was truly appreciated :-) The brisket was def above average for FL BBQ. The ribs were good, the smoke wings were very good. The sides were enjoyable too. I wasn't crazy about the bread - it was my only real issue here - which was minor. Johnson's is easily on my top 10 favorite BBQ spots in Florida! We loved the chopped Brisket! We will def be back ! Cheers !

Lively noise inside. BBQ: meat is really succulent. Tried both turkey and pulled pork on the Belly Buster sandwich. This comes with one side, sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar for me! Bun was a little dry maybe because it was lightly toasted. Two sauces to choose from: original and sweet. Went with sweet which has a great taste but a tad runny. Fries were good and plentiful. Service is excellent. Employeee are friendly, this is Plant City of course. Drinks were readily filled. Food came out quick even with a packed restaurant. Original wait on a Friday around 6 was 25 minutes. Closed on Sunday for family time! Perfect spot to come if you're in town for the Strawberry Festival. Parking can be challenging and is a bit of a cluster. It is next to a commercial operation with employee parking, dumpsters and semi trucks everywhere. It also shares space with Fred's Market, another long-time southern all-u-can eat restaurant. If you can't find parking around the restaurant there is always diaganol parking along N. Alexander St.
