I love coming here any time I'm out in plant city it's the only one I know of and they has delicious burgers! I got the double and my husband got a philly with just cheese, he said the philly was better than the burger and I think the burger was better than the Philly. Why have I not had Wayback before now??? A friend of mine kept mentioning this great little burger shop over in Plant City so we tried it. Holy crap! These are some awesome burgers! Fries are grand, too!! They've got lots of choices and you can substitute whatever you'd like. There's even a meatless burger, if that's your fancy. While I didn't see them on the menu, I did hear the server ask someone if they wanted to sub tots for their fries, too. So, I'll be trying those next time. Price is decent and no different than any other hamburger joint, everyone is super friendly and willing to help in any way. After a few years of seeing this restaurant in two different locations we decided to give it a try. We met up with a group of friends for dinner on a Friday night. The place only had a few people in it so there was no no lines or no long waiting period. I ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. I was very pleased to see that they used real hamburger patties that looked to be fresh. That being said once we received our food the only downfall of being a fresh burger patty was that the burgers were very greasy. I ended up removing one of the patties. Our friend ordered a chicken chili. When he received his chili it had three small strips of chicken, it was almost just bread with some cheese and onions and peppers. He then took it back up and asked them to fix it, which they did. The new sandwich came out much better. The staff was super friendly. They kept the store clean. We then ordered milkshakes, I ordered the Oreo mudslide shake. This shake was really good but very sweet I could only drink about half of it before having to get rid of it Overall, the food and the restaurant we're decent but not somewhere that I would pick to go again. read more

I've tried this place twice. The first time the service and food were both good. The second time I invited my parents, it wasn't close to to closing time and they couldn't make what sandwich my mom ordered or the cheese fries or chili cheese fries because they were out of cheese sauce and weren't making any more. The bill was over $80 for four people and it was really disappointing. No offer of a partial refund. We weren't made aware of the lack of product til after we ordered and paid. I won't be back. I have had this before in Lithia and have always appreciated the food. This was the worst food experience in a while. Order was impossible burger ( since my wife is vegetarian) no mayo or tomato, regular burger with all toppings, and grit to split. When I got home burger was not impossible and no topping on my burger at all. Fries looked like they came out of bottom of fry oil bin. So I ended up with a double burger and burnt fries. Well worth the $20 spent.... My recommendations are disassemble your food and inspect before leaving. I know I should call but I'm sure they will try to convince me that it was an impossible burger. We ordered a couple of different burgers and the chili cheese nachos. Everything was pretty delicious! The fries were so good as well. Perfectly crispy! I really enjoyed the nachos because they are fresh chips with a bunch of chili and cheese. It was a huge portion and so so tasty. Overall food was really great. It tasted fresh. I had great experiences with the first Wayback spot in Fishhawk/Lithia FL. Moved to another area closer to this location. Have ordered food through Door Dash for delivery. It was what it was. The food obviously isn't as good and hot as it is when you order and dine in, in person. But it's good. Just a little pricy in comparison to other similar chains. I went to this place a while back and I asked the girl if she would cook my burger without squishing all the juice out. She did that for me and it was a wonderful well cooked burger. Today I went in there and I asked the girl if she would do that for me and she said no that she wasn't squishing the juice out she was squishing the blood out. I happen to know that if you cook a burger enough (The burgers are not that thick so it wouldn't take very long) on both sides the blood cooks out and the juice stays in. I used to eat at this restaurant years ago and was happy with the food product, even though it took quite some time to produce. I was planning to be near the area soon and called 14 minutes after they opened to ask some questions about their food and offerings that wasn't obvious on their website. We got disconnected so I thought. I called back and the person told me they were too busy and hung up!! Came in for their Tuesday Classic Special and a delectable milkshake. Cookies and cream with coffee! Best ever! You should try it. The food is phenomenal and made fresh while you wait. The music takes you back to the 60s/70s. They are reasonably priced with all their menu items. I come here a lot but always forget to Check-In and post on Yelp. This is a fast food franchise restaurant, make no mistake about it. The burger was just okay. I think it was way overpriced for the quality & freshness. The chili was straight out of a can onto the fries, and the cheese was really low quality, but I liked the distribution of toppings throughout the mound of fries. The portion of the full CCF was enough for four people to share, and sits at a wopping 800 calories. There's a soda machine, or small selection of beer and wine. The service was good. We ordered at the register and someone brought the food to our table. The person taking out order was friendly, and patiently waited as we decided what to order. The dining area was very clean, with an average fast food feel, but somewhat modernish decor. The atmosphere is as casual as it gets. Overall, a little pricey, which brings down the value of the experience. I gave it 2.5 stars, but I'm rounding up because it wasn't all bad. read more

The burgers are filling and sooo good that you literally want to eat the WHOLE thing.
