Did ONLY what was needed today based on how we use the units and what we were looking for. He could have "taken us" for more work or money given that we are not well-educated on fireplaces, but instead he took the time to explain what was needed (and not). He took pictures, explained work that is needed, and inspected the outside masonry of the chimneys. After moving to our home (new to us but built in 1978) we learned from a chimney sweep that our…read morefireplace was not only incorrectly converted to gas but was constructed in such a way that it would have never worked correctly as a wood burning fireplace. Which is probably why the original owners attempted to convert it to gas. We wanted wood, not gas, and we wanted to get the 26% federal income tax credit. So we visited A Fireplace Store and More and spoke to the woman working there. She set up a date for Rony to come out and give us an estimate. Rony showed up on time and we settled on a modern high efficiency biomass fireplace insert that qualifies for the credit. Parts and labor was not cheap, but we wanted a quality appliance and this business has decades of experience, which we also wanted. We put down a deposit and set the installation day, which was today. Rony and his team showed up on time, worked quickly, did good quality work and cleaned up afterwards. Rony explained how to use the new fireplace and was all done in a matter of 3-4 hours. Very happy with our purchase and service and we can't wait until we can use it this winter.

She called again yesterday and was finally told that the screen "got lost in shipment from the manufacturer". IF that is true, why was there no follow up on the order with the manufacturer? They said they could have one made and shipped in 2 weeks. Interesting. We declined because they should have known that the order was 4 weeks late. The store has a wide variety of options to select from for fireplace products and patio sets. They also sell and install other outdoor products (ie. grills, mailboxes etc). It's nice that the store is also open on Sundays. Customer service: The staff here are knowledgeable and helpful without sales pressure which is appreciated. The purchased products are typically delivered very quickly if in stock and they try to order and deliver asap if not in stock. I haven't had any issues with returns if I was not satisfied with the product. I've worked with both Shane and Mike. *We did end up having to exchange a chair as it had a scratch and I wanted some touch up on the table because I saw marks on the table initially. I didn't appreciate the comment "you are being too picky" made by the delivery man. It is just not a comment you'd make to someone that is purchasing pricey furniture. I'm paying more than normal for the furniture so yea there's a reason I'll want the furniture to be in good shape. Costs: The costs may be on the more pricey end but they carry good quality products. The purchases were made within the past 2 years so I'll provide an update if anything changes. I'd recommend this place if you are looking for quality fireplace products or outdoors items in general.
