After that time passed, I received another call saying the order still had not arrived. At that point, I requested to cancel the order and pick up my check because I could not continue waiting. Shortly after, Tommy (Haitham) contacted me again and promised he could get the order within 10 more days, so I agreed to continue waiting. After 22 total days of delays, excuses, and lack of communication, I became extremely frustrated. What disappointed me most was not just the delay itself, but how the situation was handled. After expressing my frustration through text messages, Tommy (Haitham), instead of having management or the owner professionally address the issue, involved people from my community who had absolutely nothing to do with this transaction. I started receiving calls regarding a private customer dispute. No business should allow an employee to involve outside individuals in a customer issue. That was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. I later spoke with the owner, Simon, and explained the entire situation. At the beginning of the call, I even asked him what the company's mission was, and he stated that it was to make customers happy and satisfied. Unfortunately, I can honestly say I left this experience feeling neither happy nor satisfied. The delays already caused enough stress and financial loss due to rent and project setbacks, but the employee behavior and management's acceptance of it made the experience even worse. For the record, I never used disrespectful language toward Tommy (Haitham). I simply asked Tommy (Haitham) to stop contacting and harassing me, and I expressed how frustrating and exhausting this situation had become after weeks of delays and broken promises. I do not recommend this business based on my experience. Very disappointing overall.

The installer, Drew, arrived on time, was respectful of our home and didn't damage anything. For a half day's work in a small space he had a lot of details to contend with (removal and replacement of quarter round molding, moving the dryer out and back and removing and reinstalling the bifold closet doors. Todd gave us a good price and was helped us find the flooring that we wanted. Simon did a great job installing the hardwood, carpet, and luxury vinyl tile for us. Simon was prompt about responding to messages, was organized, showed up when he said he would, completed the job faster than he had estimated, and did a very careful and skilled job installing the flooring. The only bad thing is that his schedule is full about 2 months out so you have to plan ahead.

The Floor Trader has Chelsea Plank Flooring for the same (really good) price that it sells for at the actual factory in Chelsea, MI. The folks at The Floor Trader were very patient at answering my questions. They also let me take two large samples home for the week, to compare to my existing flooring. To sum up, I'm really happy with their helpfulness. And, they offer a very good price on this particular product, which I know to be of excellent quality. Ali went out of his way to keep us informed of the timeline (letting us know when to expect materials, find an install range that worked for us, and checking in throughout). As far as the finished results, we could not be happier. The new carpet is so plush and comfortable. The railings completely transformed the look of our home. Ali offered suggestions when asked (he really knows his stuff), but made sure we knew that the final decision was ours. A few other things to note: the installers were very respectful of our home, cleaned up when they finished, and were very polite. The cost was reasonable (actually less than we expected).
