The finished project. Ron did an awesome job

We were looking for someone to replace our old patio cover with an Alumawood solid patio cover. When we called Ron, he came over the next day and gave us a quote before he left. The quote was much lower than the other quotes we had gotten and just by speaking with Ron for about a half hour, we knew he was the guy we wanted to put the patio cover up for us. Ron has been installing patio covers for many years, does all of the work himself and shows up when he says he is going to show up and works hard all day long. We showed Ron a picture of the type of patio cover we wanted and Ron gave us exactly what we wanted, including installing lights in the cover and wiring it for a fan. He was great to work with, is a super-nice guy and about as honest as they come. His work was superb. I would highly recommend Ron Hardy and Hardy Built to anyone looking to have a patio cover installed.

Ron did a great job replacing an old pergola and installing a completely new one. He's very reliable and responsive; if you call/text, he responds quickly. Would definitely recommend!

We were looking to get a patio cover in our backyard and came across Ron on yelp. He surpassed our expectations! He came over after our initial reach out to do measurements and gave a quote right there. Very reasonably priced. He finished within the same week! We are so happy with our alumawood cover and would recommend to anyone. He explained everything thoroughly, had no hidden fees and was honest and genuine the whole way.

We had a pre-existing wood pergola that wasn't in the best condition and after doing some initial research, it sounded like replacing with Alumawood would be an excellent option to have the look of wood without the maintenance that comes with it. I talked to a few different companies but ultimately went with Ron Hardy of HardyBuilt for a few reasons: 1. he is a very genuine individual who operates with the utmost integrity, 2. Was able to write up a quote on the spot that ended up being middle of the pack but straight forward - no hidden details or upsells, and 3. was able to do the work in a reasonable amount of time - a couple of other companies, though bigger, wouldn't even commit to the idea of work starting by than fall or winter. With Ron it took just over a month from initial contact to competition. As far as the work is concerned, we are very happy with the final results. There were some unexpected snags at the beginning of the project regarding the footings but Ron rolled with the punches and was determined to honor his quote. We ended up going with a solid cover with built in lights and he was able to shave off a bit of the cost since he didn't need to use all the lights he was originally planning to use. He even fixed our side gate latch that had been sticking while he was here. Throughout the process he was very communicative as to when to expect materials and if there were any conflicts in his schedule to work around. All in all, Ron is clearly someone who takes great pride in his work and that shows in the final product. We will be very happy to pass his name along to anyone else we know who is looking for this kind of work! Don't hesitate to contact Ron if you need a new Alumawood cover - he will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of!

Mr. Ron is hands down the most pleasant and honest contractor we've ever worked with, and we mean it 100%. We met him at the Escondido Farmers Market one day when he was selling the most beautiful plumerias. He delivered them to our house, and we asked what kind of work he does when we saw his truck. We happened to be looking for someone to build a patio cover at the time, and he immediately gave us a quote right then. No BSing like most contractors who go home and think about how much they can overcharge on things. We were quoted so many ridiculous prices from other companies, Mr. Ron had them all beat. To top it all off, this is alumawood material, so it lasts for life. It's lightweight, comes with an installed gutter system, and there's no re-staining required like with wood. Once the material was in hand (which didn't take long), Mr. Ron was done within a couple of days and we were outside enjoying our patio. Check out the pics! Thank you so much Hardy Built! Tip: Check out his plumerias for sale!

If you want an Alumawood Patio cover, Ron Hardy is your guy! I got several quotes and Ron's was in the middle. I decided to go with him for several reasons: * Experience - From the consultation meeting with Ron, I could tell he has years of experience building patio covers. He knows his stuff! * Custom design - I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but I did know what I didn't want. Ron asked the right questions to develop the design for the patio cover that I wanted but couldn't quite articulate. He even came back to meet with my husband for an hour to answer questions and discuss technical details. * Workmanship - Ron does precision work, which takes time, energy, patience, and skill, and it shows...beautifully! I'm extremely happy with the finished product. It exceeds my expectations for form and function. I wholeheartedly give 5 stars to Ron Hardy and Hardy Built!

Ron just completed a fabulous Alumawood patio cover for us and we are so pleased with the final product. We would hire Ron again without hesitation.

Mr Hardy you did it again! I'm not going to say much this being my 2nd time reviewing Hardy Built but I definitely will standby my first review. Thanks Ron it was a pleasure and look forward to working with you on the 3rd project.

Recently had my old wood patio cover torn down and replaced with an Alumawood Patio Cover designed and installed by Ron Hardy and couldn't be happier! He was friendly, the quote was super competitive and he kept me up to date on timing as we waited for the materials to arrive. He demo'd the old patio cover, relocated the the post positions, replaced the old brick and then constructed the new cover. He gave us options, explained every step along the way, kept the work area clean and is also just a nice, friendly guy. If you need an Alumawood Patio cover Ron Hardy is your man.

This is our second time using Ron Hardy for our patio cover. Professional, knowledgeable, super guy. If you want the work to get done on time and be beautifully and sturdily built, then call Ron. There is no one better.

I asked for smaller ceiling beam and only 3 posts on mine to maximize view.

Ron is the King of patio covers in North County! He is a one-man company, so there's no finger pointing about poor outcomes. The price seemed good to me (though I didn't shop). He does covers only, and has it down. Super detail oriented, fastidiously neat. Ron is also a hilarious character, so be ready for some banter!

Just had a patio cover built and it looks great. Was really good on price and quality of work. Definitely worth the money

We are super happy with our aluminum patio cover. Ron's work ethics and professionalism are excellent. He makes sure you are happy and a satisfied customer. He pays attention to every detail and request. He is passionate about his job and builds as it is for his own house. We are thankful we found him. Thank you Ron!

I ended up selecting a Duralum cover that his company also offers, and I'm glad I did. It's just the look I was going for. I was also impressed with Adam's business model, which is built on quality and efficiency at a very reasonable price without cutting corners or sacrificing customer service. Now for the best part: A guy named Brody, his lead installer. In addition to being a super nice guy, his work is meticulous. The back of my home isn't linear, so there are bump-outs and protrusions, making the installation more difficult and time consuming. This wasn't the slightest challenge for Brody and his team. The finished product is snuggled tightly against my stucco and professionally sealed on the roof to prevent any water dripping through when it rains. I watched him work, measuring and cutting the aluminum to match my home so the fit and finish is far greater than I imagined. As you can tell from the photos, I still have work to do (concrete coating, fence repairs, etc.) to match the beauty of my new cover.

Only regret is that I didn't do this years ago. Price, professionalism, communication, demo, build and clean up were all amazing. Highly recommended and would absolutely use again.

No more frying eggs on the concrete floor! I was very very happy with the service I received from this company. Joe, the manager, and Rick design rep, Darrin construction manager, Andrea production coordinator, Dianna sales coordinator, and others that came to do the work on site, were all professional and a real blessing in getting my new patio cover designed and put together with the features I wanted. The crew that worked on site demonstrated much care and passion in the work they did. The crew took time to answer my questions and even made a video on my phone so I could remember how the wiring was done for my patio light and fan. I have gutters on each side and also had outlets put in. Today the temperature in my backyard in the sun is 102°F. In the shade of my Avocado tree the temp is 96°F. The ambient temperature under my insulated patio cover is 84°F!! That's an 18 degree difference! The company responded quickly to my initial call and once material was in, had the work completed within 2 days. They took down and removed the old cover, prepped the areas needed, and cleaned up afterwards. Out of all the companies I met with, Skyline Sunrooms came out as my top choice. Steve, the co-owner, was most patient and thorough in accommodating our needs, including drainage and lighting, and helping us think through the design and materials. The price was reasonable. This review concerns only my experience with Pacific Patio's bidding process. The proposal I received did not include any meaningful detail about the materials that would be used. When I asked specific questions--such as whether the support posts would be steel or aluminum--the salesperson refused to answer. Instead, he responded sarcastically, "Do you want me to tell you what kind of bolts we're going to use?" My answer is yes. The materials matter. The type of bolts, fasteners, posts, and other structural components affects the durability and safety of the finished product. Lower-quality hardware may perform differently under wind loads and over time, so it's reasonable for a customer to know what is being proposed. I repeatedly asked for a list of the materials that would be used, but the salesperson would not provide one. Without that information, I had no meaningful way to compare Pacific Patio's proposal with competing bids. Just as importantly, I would have had no clear basis for holding the contractor accountable if different materials were substituted during the project. The salesperson also became increasingly dismissive as I continued asking for this information. That lack of transparency and professionalism led me to award the project--worth approximately $100,000--to another contractor. I'm sharing this experience so that prospective customers know to ask for a detailed written description of the materials included in any proposal before making a decision.
