This is by far the worst dealership I've ever been to especially the service department. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I took my wife's car in for just a simple oil change which was scheduled by the way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I perform all maintenance on our cars except the oil changes because if we sell it shows maintenance history for oil changes. That being said they kept me there for 4 hours trying to scam me into purchasing replacement parts that were already brand new and had been replaced already. One example was the battery, it was only a month old and from that point I knew they were going to keep trying to scam. Another scam they tried was charging me for a tire rotation on a Camaro which the front tires are smaller than the rear which is offset so they had to give me my money back for that and they gave me hard to about that which I would call stealing when you take money and not want to give it back. This went on for 4 hours when a had a scheduled oil change and other customers were coming and going also getting oil changes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the main reason why I took my wife's car for her this time so I can see the BS they try to pull with women not knowing I work on cars too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This happens at many dealers like Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet being the worst. Over the last 2 decades I have purchased a lot of cars but this is the worse experience I have ever had for just a basic oil change. He stopped, grabbed the door for my family and asked if we had been helped by anyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We told him "no" and mentioned we had just arrived. Not happy with my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 slt nor the "service" department at Hardy. My truck with 22k miles is having multiple issues and with all the computer systems on the truck, Hardy was unable to do anything. First- the truck is having a hard shift from 1-2. Hardy's response is GM is aware of this and has a bulletin stating the problem and their claim it is normal. Secondly, I have lights come on. Service ESC otherwise known as electronic stability control and can be dangerous according to google. Service parking brake, and check engine. Hardy's response was they couldn't see any of those codes or why that would happen but did ask if I drive with my foot on gas and brake! They claimed that could cause this. Lol when these lights come on I experience a significant loss of power and the truck doesn't want to go. Again can be dangerous when pulling out in traffic. Yet Hardy has nothing. Lastly. Having miss fire of cylinder number 7. Once again Hardy does nothing. Meaning while my mechanic ran the code and saw this. I showed Hardy tons of pics and they could careless. This is all after having to make an apt a month out. Hardy has lost a customer for service and sales. I will no longer be buying GMC and will consider other brands but will not do business with them again. read more

I went online to set an appt for an synthetic oil change. This my first time going to this location and they had a coupon for $20 for the service. I didn't know if this was an error or a special for new customers. Once I got here and showed them the coupon from their website they said they wasn't going to accept it. So the oil change price was $50. They didn't apologize for the error or offer to complete the service for the price since they made the mistake. My appointment was for 11AM and my oil change was complete at 12:34PM. If the coupon is on the website you should honor the coupon. I didn't make the mistake. They did. This will be the first and last time going here for service. After my appt I checked online and they removed the coupon. I rather drive 21 miles to another Chevy dealership then to go to this one again. read more

Terrible!!! Went in to turn in a lease and was sent across the street. Waited over 10 minutes for someone to come out and tell us they take leases across the street. He proceeded to tell me that they all know this and only sent me across the street because of a petty disagreement they all had a week prior. So I had to then return to the original location and when I expressed my need for it to be a quick transaction the gentleman (MANAGER!) told me: "I'm just doing you a favor, I don't have to help you." Managerial advice: 1. Don't waste your customers' time. 2. Fix your attitude, you are working in SALES. 3. Don't drag customers into your petty work place drama. Am I the only one who gets hives whenever they have to do any kind of work on their car? I don't really get hives, but it's usually such a frustrating process that I ignore whatever problem is occurring. Sometimes it goes away. Other times it just gets problematic enough that I force myself to seek help. Whenever I'm working in Paulding County I drive past this dealership and over the last few months that's probably been a few dozen times. My right tail light went out and I decided that was something I should repair. I pulled in here around 10:30 the other morning and I was greeted by a tall man with a very big gray beard. I explained my issue and also requested an oil change. Seemed painless enough. They even gave me a ride next door to the property I was visiting. I got a call a few hours later when my car was ready. Coming back here made me anxious again... especially walking up to the cashier to see how much they charged for everything. I almost fell out. $30! That's all?!? I actually told her there were probably two invoices. She said there was only one and that they didn't charge any labor for installing the light. Plus they were having an oil change special. That made my day. I might actually go back and get another mirror put on the side of my car. Maybe it won't be as awful as I am anticipating. read more

Do not deal with Adam from the new car sales team at Hardy GMC. We had been talking with him all week about a work van and he sold it right out from under us as soon as we pulled in the lot to buy it. We test drove it Tuesday and we were planning to buy it Wednesday, but Adam was not at work that day. He told us to come on Thursday to purchase the vehicle so he could be there. He pulled the van off the lot Thursday morning and sent our paper to finance to get the purchase rolling. When we pulled up to the building I saw the van and Adam sitting out front. He saw us, jumped in the van and drove off. We then got a phone call stating that there was someone else there wanting the van and that we could not have it anymore. Unbelievable! I greatly appreciate the professionalism of the Hardy Chevrolet team, especially Bryan McGarity. A little about my situation, I had been using a family car for a while now, but it was time for me to purchase another car for myself. My family had suggested using the person that they had purchased their car from, and despite being a little reluctant to go there from my previous interactions with them I did. After reviewing their inventory and options, (I will omit their names), I decided to go to Hardy Chevrolet, because I had a very specific car in mind. While they were not the only ones that had the car, I saw that they had a lot of great reviews online, some of the best. I have also seen a lot of people in town, more than any other company, driving cars with the Hardy tag on their car; there tends to be a reason behind this, because they deliver. Before we even got out of the car when we pulled up, Mr. McGarity was at the door. Now most people may think that is because they are looking for a sale, but I call it being attentive, and besides, of course they are looking for a sale, and so are you otherwise you would not be there more than likely! I appreciate Mr. McGarity's clairvoyance, if you will. He could tell that I was someone who knew what I wanted and after he introduced himself to me and my aunt who was with me for moral support, I told him what I wanted and he took me right to it. The test drive was very enjoyable, and he gave me ampule time to try it out. When we got back we sat down at his office desk, it was clear that he was the head salesman there with the amount of plaques that he had, (he even had a box full of them under his desk!). We joked about how he could make a chandelier with the amount he had, but I will digress. He was very attentive to my wants, not trying to sell me something that I could not afford, or dissuade me into getting something else for a lower cost. He spelled out my options, and answered every question that I had in through detail, and was not annoyed with the amount of questions that I had, because there were plenty. The whole process took a couple of hours, but being in real estate, attention to detail is key. I have a new found respect for car salesmen after this experience. I would consider Mr. McGarity more of a family member than a salesman, because he treated me with respect and clarified things in an honest way; something that in my opinion you do not see a lot of today in the business world. I would definitely recommend Hardy to anyone looking to buy a pre-owned vehicle. While I went there for a specific car, even if they did not have it I think I would have still left having purchased something else. They have a large and diverse inventory. This is one of those places, if I could give a higher rating I would. You will not be disappointed if you choose to buy, and even if you are not looking to purchase at this time, they will still make sure that you are taken care of. read more

I wish i had listened to my inner self and stayed away from this place. I'm on the hook for $884 in repairs and services, when I went in for a single code error (map sensor), original quote to fix: $305. I asked them to look at the air conditioner and that i suspected a leak. They called to inform me the code error was different, but still $305 and that they did indeed find the leak. $224 to fix the air conditioning and $100 to do the dye check and reprogram. I gave the okay, but got another call the next day. Now the compressor is bad and it'll be nearly $1,000 to fix and replace the compressor. I have to pay an additional $450.00 for no air (not paying $1,000 on a 13 year old vehicle)! On the hook for parts and labor for something I don't have. I asked when they did all the diagnostic work and the dye, why wasn't it then discovered the compressor was bad. The service guy, "J**** said there was no way to tell the compressor was bad on the front end. By the way, his response was rather curt. Will never patronize this place again and advise the same. read more

The gentleman who gave me the estimate was great. He explained in great detail about the process to fix my rear quarter panel and window. The lady at the front desk got it all set up, even with my crazy schedule. After the body shop was done, I had the repair shop check/fix the current recall. I'm extremely impressed with the work that was done. You would never know there was damage done to the body. You have a wonderful staff. Did not buy my Buick Enclave from them but had it serviced there exclusively. I had every confidence in their service department even though I was told never take your vehicle to a dealership for repairs and service. Well, I should have listened. My air conditioning was not blowing cold air. Took it to Hardy to have it checked and repaired. They said it was a leak and charged me a little over $600. Well in four months, the air was not cold again. Took it back to Hardy thinking they would honor their warranty but was told this time it was blower and now the charge is $1200!!! Keep in mind it was blowing fine. The air was not cold. Took it to a "non-dealership" mechanic. They said I have a leak and was charged $450 and has been working fine with no issues. Should have taken it there the first time and save myself $600. I don't think Hardy knew what they were doing or they intentionally tried to rip me off. Either way, will never take my car there again. read more

Went to get my oil change like I have done for the last year and a half, left very disappointed! Had the service advisor, John Mayo, checked my history he would've seen that the last 3 times I had it changed I requested synthetic oil. They didn't do synthetic because I "didn't specify," then wanted to charge me for both if I had him correct it. Also, I told him the tire pressure light came on so go ahead and change the sensor since two others have already been changed. I "specifically" told him to change the sensor, yet he didn't. When I questioned him, he said it was fine and all he did was reset it. Guess what light came on later that night? Yep, the tire pressure light, but now on the back tire because the tires were rotated. And to put the icing on the cake...they are the only ones who have done my oil change and now I have a problem with the oil pan being stripped. Hmmm wonder how that happened? Not a happy camper right now...guess I'll be going to another dealer for future service. read more
