Well, there's not much you can say about Harissa that hasn't been said yet. Boaz, my brother from a different mother, runs an amazing business. The food is made from scratch including the hummus, the falafel and about half a dozen other salads, that are not only served, but are also sold in 16 oz containers to take home for Shabbat or any other occasions. The location has certification from the local rabbis (an ) thatl makes it GlatKosher and you can order food for any of your Jewish occasions. It is located inside the JCC in La Jolla/ UTC with amazing ambience in the patio. There is art from all over the world. And the location is just stunning. Although unassuming from the outside. Make sure you pay a visit but don't come on Saturday AKA Shabbat or Friday during winter hours. It is closed... so Sunday through Thursday hours are posted on the website. If you have questions, reach out to me:) okay post review

Tasty, quick sandwiches made from fresh ingredients. This place used to be called Botanic, now they have meat and veggie choices.

The food was amazing! Our family enjoyed some delicious schnitzel pitas, sabich, falafel, and yummy Israeli drinks. Yehuda was welcoming and offered great suggestions for what to order. Yum!

I'm grateful that the eatery at the JCC is once again Israeli / Mediterranean style food.

Soup du Jour, a French? (No, Taiwanese fusion) restaurant in Convoy? (No, just south of Convoy)…read morelocated in a crouded strip mall? (No, lodged in an apartment complex). This place is decieving on many levels and subverts expectations in the best way possible. Walking in you wouldn't think much. I was surprised by the tall ceilings; this place is not large in square footage but it doesn't feel cramped in any way. We opted for the online menu as it included pictures, though not on every item. Very reasonable prices for generous portions. Every dish was a winner, though some better than others in the minute details. The Hainanese Chicken Rice was tender and rich that the ginger sauce cut through, but the color was strikingly yellow. The Rotisserie Chicken Salad offered a welcome sight of veggies, though the chicken itself tasted like that straight from Costco. The Scallion Pancake was crispy on the edges, doughy in the center, and you only get one per order. The Shitake Mushroom Minced Pork had no drawbacks, and would come back just for this. Combining familiar flavors and spices, adding roasted vegetables and rice made this a complete meal! We were unbothered by the service staff the entire time until asking for the check, strange as we were the only two in the restaurant. However, with these minor setbacks, I will be coming back to try their noodles, soups, and desserts!

I have a soft spot for places with hyper-specific menu with small amount of items that they specialize in. The spring rolls were thicc with two "c" and the soup was so delicious. The meat was so tender it fell off the bone! 11/10 would recommend and come back myself. The staff is very welcoming and nice! The restaurant is small and fills in quick so you gotta get on a waitlist and pay attention hard when called. As an entertainment side story that is in no way regarding service here because guys nailed it well for how busy it was: We did have an "interaction" with another guest who was convinced we took her spot in line and were seated at "technically her table." While in reality they never even answered when were called (a person called them inside and came outside to call as well) and somebody else (a party of two) ended up being sat instead of them. When it was our turn, they didn't even call our party by name, the person running the shift just pointed at us and called us up because he knew we also were waiting for an hour and we had a friendly conversation earlier. But yeah, for some reason girly-pop really felt a need to not only tell us they were skipped "because of us" but go on nagging about it lol

Parking can get pretty competitive here so come early. Seating: Inside seating for maybe about 25 people, 5 small groups or so. Vibes: North Park is known for its lively food and entertainment scene, but this spot leans more on the calm and cozy side--which is a nice change of pace. If you're looking for something more relaxed, this is your spot. I enjoyed the subtle Japanese-inspired playlist in the background--it added to the overall ambiance without being distracting. The artwork gives the space a warm touch, especially the Bruce Lee painting. It feels like one of those places you can come back to regularly when you want something comforting and reliable. Definitely more comfort-focused than trendy, and that's part of the appeal. FOOD / DRINKS Spicy Miso Noodle Soup (Recommend) This was a solid bowl. You're getting a spicy miso broth with slow-cooked pork belly, bok choy, carrots, and noodles (ramen or udon)--so it hits that comforting, savory lane right away. The broth has a nice kick without being overwhelming, and the pork belly adds that richness to balance everything out. It's one of those bowls that feels hearty, warm, and satisfying--especially if you're craving something with depth and a little spice. SERVICE Friendly and efficient. Food comes out pretty quickly, which is always a plus when you're hungry. TL;DR OVERALL 4 stars. Good food, reasonable prices, rich selection, and a pleasant experience. It seems to be a favorite for locals as there was a steady flow here. If you're in need of some good broth, this is your spot. Best wishes to Chalathorn and the Nood Bar Team! #RepresentASIAN TIPS * Great for a casual meal--nothing too heavy or complicated * Come hungry--the portions are solid
