Quite honestly do not know what the good reviews are about. I'd give this place a 1.5/5. Cheap and dry kebabs, cheating us on the amount of rice (we ordered extra chicken and they skimped out on the rice rather than just placing it in a different container), the pita was tough and soggy... and the falafel was dense. The only good thing here was the hummus. Waste of $70. As I was writing the review, I noticed blonde hair in my food. So disgusting. Never again.
I ordered a hummus bowl with ribeye steak shawarma, classic hummus and added chicken kabobs, and asked for tahini and garlic aioli on the side. The meats were nicely marinated though a little dry. Good thing I asked for the sauces on the side since the hummus made everything pretty salty and soggy once mixed in. Also wished there were more veggies and rice included. I also assumed pita bread would've been included since the online picture showed it. Decent food but we had issues ordering DoorDash delivery for a work lunch. The DoorDash driver only brought 1 bag of food with more than half of our food missing so a team member had to go in person to figure out the problem. Turns out another driver took our second bag so Micheline's remade the lost orders. They must've been so busy since they should've verified with the first DoorDash driver which orders were whose and some of our orders had missing or different ingredients. I might try them again but would order in person.
035/2026/FEB Found this location on Yelp and was worth trying another Mediterranean cuisine place after our long drive !! Place has limited seating ! Noticed a lot of pick up orders !! Ordered the combo plate with Protein choices of half chicken shawarma and ribeye steak shawarma on top of basmati rice with sides of Babagannoush and toasted fresh veggies in herbs and spices!! Enjoyed the steak which was so tender and flavorful!
First time eating here and WOW, we wished we lived closer! The food was AMAZING - get the Greek fries and the chipotle aioli - incredible. And the service was wonderful - Edith and Victoria were lovely and helped walk us through the menu, plus provided great recommendations! We will be back!
Found myself caught in the lunch rush! I was in the area and in need for a quick lunch meal so i went to MPH. Parking is a bit of a hassle during the lunch hour, but I was able to snag a spot after driving around. Parking validation is available at a small machine inside by the registration, The line was long, a mix of students and people on their lunch break, but it moved quickly. I ordered the plate with steak shawarma, red cabbage, baba ghanoush, and corn. With the line extending to the door, inside seating was pretty cramped (but possible) so I opted to sit outside. First impressions, MPH gives a lot of meat and I'm not complaining. The steak was tender and flavorful - I really enjoyed it! While the baba ghanoush was just alright, the red cabbage was deliciously pickled and was the perfect acid to my meal. Overall, I'd definitely return to try what other meats/sides they offer, just maybe not during a busy lunch hour.

This place was within walking distance to the from our hotel and my kids requested Mediterranean food like they usually do. Reviews are good and I didn't have to drive to get there. It's a win win! It's a small place. Menu has many options and prices are fair. My kids and I always order and share a platter and Greek fries when we get Mediterranean food and it more than enough. That is what we did here. We got the chicken shawarma platter. The sides we chose were the rice, hummus, and fries. The sauces we chose was tzatziki and garlic aioli. And we ordered Greek Fries. Everything was so delicious! There wasn't anything we ate that we thought could be better. The pita was so thick and fluffy. The sauces were all so good. The fries were some of the best I have had. Chicken, rice and hummus all so good. Greek fries were amazing! This fed us and we still threw a little away because we were so full. The food and two drinks cost $32 which seems fair to me. We ate delicious food, were more than full, and had some leftover. The only negative feedback I have is the guy that helped us. Man, he had an attitude. Definitely needs some training and coaching on customer service. He came off very sassy and not friendly.

I got the hummus bowl because I already had lettuce and rice at home, and I was taking this togo. I loved the flavors, but it was a little too saucy which made it too salty imo. Also they gave me so little chicken that at first I thought they forgot to give me any :/ Pita bread was really soft though and tasted so good with everything mixed together. Loved the flavors! Interior has seating and tables, but it gets busy and cramped sometimes. Service is quick. read more

This spot is hands down the best Mediterranean restaurant in town! It's a casual place with indoor and outdoor tables. The food is delicious. Rich in flavor with a wide variety of healthy toppings. Service is quick and efficient. The staff are friendly and helpful. We've been coming here for years and this place never disappoints. Typically, I rave about the Greek fries (because why the hell not). They're amazingly delicious. However, this time around I shared the chicken wrap with my lovely wife. The grilled chicken was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor! The combination of lemon, olive oil, parsley, garlic, and spices makes this wrap absolutely delightful and tasteful 10/10! Parking is easily accessible. Make sure to validate your parking slip inside (it's quick n easy). Prices are reasonable compared to other places. Definitely stop by and give this place a try. It's a great grab and go spot to enjoy some bomb Mediterranean comfort food. read more
The area is very clean, there is limited seating inside but there is more seating outside shared with regents pizzeria, this was great so we could get multiple things from each. We got the rice bowl and it came with the pitas, the sauce is like this savory kinda zesty sauce and the falafel is crispy, there is something else crispy in it, the pickle and the onion and the rice all pair for a great taste, no complaints at all. We also got the lentil quinoa bowl, but there was barely any quinoa in it, but the chicken was very flavorful and there was good pairing with the lettuce tomato's and onions. If I had to choose I would definitely get the rice bowl again! No complaints on service, very quick as they have everything right there read more

So many types of Hummus and Tahini The host was friendly and explained the various options. Hummus Bowl with Chicken Shawarma and Garlic Aioli was delicious. The place had a coffee shop vibe and is located conveniently in strip mall beside Marriot La Jolla. read more
Food- We ordered the rice bowl with the selection of our own toppings. Both bowls costed about $14.50 each. Portion size was huge, and well worth the quality. Chipotle style ordering, and self serve drinks. Better than CAVA for-sure. I love the authenticity of the food made in the kitchen, and the booming of flavors. Please continue supporting small businesses like this one. Service- We came at a busy hour on a Friday night. The lady in the front welcomed us right when we walked in. I'm sure this place needs more people as they received plenty of online orders during our dinner. They stay hustling, and I really appreciate the work ethic here! Don't forget to validate your parking ticket here too. Ambiance- Limited seating inside, but if you're lucky you might find chairs outside. Overall, thank you for the experience!!! read more
Awesome little place in La Jolla with amazing salads! The salads are everything you would look for in a salad....refreshing, full of flavor, nice light dressings. So many veggies. I got the tabouli salad and it came with a bed of lettuce as well which was really nice! Usually it will just come with the tabouli. The raisin in there also added a nice touch! It was delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We wanted to try a Sauce and they let us try it at no charge. Great customer service! We will definitely be back! read more

I visited here for the first time in years last week and it was even better than I remembered! This is a casual dining spot where you can build your own rice bowl, plate, or pita sandwich. Unlike places with a similar business model, the staff here are always really warm and welcoming. Each time I visit, I get the 'build your own bowl.' You can order a single type or protein or half and half for the same price. My favorite proteins are the chicken shawarma, falafel, and beef kabobs. They have a variety of toppings you can choose from and some of my favorites are their red pickled cabbage and the hummuses. They have the creamiest most flavorful hummus- I've tried all three (chipotle, cilantro, and original), and they're my favorite. You'll never want to eat hummus from the grocery store again after trying these ones lol. The last things I'll say is that their portion sizes are huge! I always get 2 meals out of the rice bowl. I went to Micheline's Pita House in La Jolla with a friend who had heavily recommended the place to me. I was, however, a little disappointed by my experience here. I went last Thursday, and the service was just subpar. Immediately as we walked in, I noticed that the two workers who were working the food station appeared quite angry or upset. It made the whole experience uncomfortable, especially as a first-time customer. There were not any smiles, greetings, explanations, or any of that sort. The workers just appeared very curt and angry, and the atmosphere felt extremely tense. This was all unfortunate because the food was pretty good! I have had pretty good Mediterranean food in San Diego, and this place was pretty up there. I ordered the rice bowl with chicken shawarma, and I really liked that the food came with pita bread and rice! It was unfortunate that they barely gave us any rice or protein though. I also had asked for my sauces on the side, but they had just put them in the bowl. Overall, I had an OK experience at this location. I'm not quite sure I would return though, the whole experience was a bit unpleasant. The other Mediterranean places I've been to in SD had MUCH better service. read more

Micheline's Pita House has become my go-to Mediterranean restaurant in San Diego! I usually order the rice bowl with falafel, and it never disappoints. I selected tzatziki and Chipotle aioli for my two sauces, and they gave the dish a tangy flavor with a hint of sweetness. Sometimes there's a long line to order, or you may have to wait for fresh falafel, but the staff are very attentive and are always preparing food in the back. The seating area is on the smaller side, so I usually get my order to go, but I've dined in a few times as well. All in all, I just love the food here, and I try to come back whenever I can! read more
This was my first time visiting Micheline's Pita House and it won't be my last! I love any restaurant that allows you to build a custom bowl and this one did not disappoint. I got the rice bowl with gyros and you can choose from a wide variety of included veggie toppings which I love. The shoug was my favorite sauce, it added a nice spicy element to the dish. The bowl came with pita too which was warm and fluffy. The employees were very nice and super fast too. I didn't park in the lot, but it looked like they had a spot to validate parking as well! read more

Micheline's Pita House is a hidden gem. The inside has plenty of open well spaced seating and the lighting is nice and bright. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Salad. It was delicious, nicely portioned, and beautifully presented. Upon entry, the service was friendly and upbeat. Give them a try; you will love the experience as well. read more

I work close by and have been to Micheline's approximately 4 times in the last two weeks because it's close, reliable, can he healthy, and is delicious. My go to is the falafel plate with hummus, pita, pickles, onions, and garlic sauce but I also love their gyro meat, their salads, their grilled chicken, their rice, and their salad and vinaigrette. We recently ordered a family meal, feeding 8-10 people, for around $140 and had tons of leftovers. It came with salad, rice, pita, chicken, gyro, falafel, garlic sauce, tzatziki, hummus, tahini, and vinaigrette. While the service isn't the greatest, I don't think it's intentional. They just want to churn through orders, cut out the conversation, and move into the next order. Lastly, they validate! read more

I've been telling my family and friends that their shawarma steak and rice bowl is the best thing I've ever eaten! And I'm not exaggerating with this bold statement. Their steak is perfectly seasoned shawarma-style, cooked, and sliced medium-well. The rice is fluffy basmati, and the beans are tender. Their spicy cilantro sauce and spicy shoug? Chef's kiss. I love their pickles, hummus, and toppings. The pitas are always fresh, baked in the oven right in front of you. Their falafel is the best I've ever had...crispy/hot on the outside, moist, steamy, and delicious on the inside. It's the perfect texture. The bowl, with all the fresh toppings and sauces combined, is heaven in my mouth. I love Micheline's with all my heart. Also, don't forget to validate your parking with them!
