Found this booth at the Oceanside Sunset Market. Tried the chicken shawarma and baklava. The chicken was flavorful. Baklava was delicious. The following week while at the Carlsbad State Street Farmers Market I seen the same booth. This time I ordered the salad with chicken and a spinach/feta appetizer. (Don't recall the name). The portion of chicken on the salad was very generous. Lettuce and veggies were fresh. With a perfect amount of feta and dressing. The appetizer came with two large potions. The combo of spinach and feta wrapped in warm phyllo dough. YUM!! The service has been wonderful both times. The same gentleman taking the order at both visits was friendly, answered any questions and provided recommendations. I believe they are a staple at both of these events. As well as a food truck and catering in the San Diego/North County area. 100% recommend. Will order from here anytime I see their booth. read more

Food was very mid. We got Pita wrap, combo plate, and the loaded fries. Fries were soggy with oil like they were cooked in not-hot-enough oil and the oil soaked into the frozen fries. The combo plate lacked flavor and there were jalapeños in the Greek salad. Never in my life have I ever had a Greek salad with nacho jalapeños. The rice was undercooked. The pita bread was meh. The service was fine. But other than that, I would not go back. read more

Ordered a side of fries and a drink at the SD Legion Game. The lady was talking on her phone and didn't give me a receipt. When I asked for one she held up her hand as I was evidently interrupting her phone call. I waited for my order and finally a man stepped forward with a tray of fries and called out a number. I approached and said that I didn't receive a receipt. He cut me off and said "go back over there", pointing to where the other customers were waiting. He kept calling out the number and when no one responded he handed it to the girl who took my order. She pointed to me and I went to pick up the fries. They were covered in ketchup, I said "I didn't want ketchup all over them", she responded "you should have told me". She was just as rude as the other guy. Great customer service: make a mistake then blame the customer, what a strategy. Who in the hell serves fries doused in ketchup? I don't eat ketchup so they were totally inedible to me. She handed me a warm soda. That was it. I ordered from Turkish Grill two weeks prior and the fries were served plain the way they are supposed to be. I paid $17.24 for the fries and a drink and I tossed the fries. Had they been nice about it it would have made a big difference. Their rudeness and attitude was unacceptable. I came here for lunch at the Solana Beach Fiesta Del Sol. All I ordered was a combo plate and 1 sambusa for a total of $40 . The samosa tasted really good but the chicken and rice was very dry. There were other vendors that were also probably overcharging as well but $40 for ok food seems ridiculous. Also the prices aren't posted on the menu which seemed strange, the lady running the cashier only told me my total as I handed over my card. read more

Tried this gourmet food truck at Santee Summer concert series. I don't eat from food trucks often but this was a pretty good experience. Got the chicken Sharwma wrap and it was very good. My wife got the chicken plate and they gave her the wrong order but fixed it right away. A little pricey as it was $19 each but food quality was very good. Definitely recommend read more

I ran into the Turkish Grill at the new Mission Valley Farmers Market on Saturday. I had a large chicken filled Turkish Samosa for $6.99. The samosa was good. However, I did feel that it was over breaded or thicker than it needed to be. The chicken inside was tasty and they put a good amount inside the samosa. I liked the Turkish seasonings they used. The sauces they drizzled onto the samosa were very tasty. I would of rather had them on the side, but I was unaware that they were going to drizzle it on top. Customer service was very friendly ad up beat. In addition the the Mission Valley Farmer's Market, you can also find them at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market on Sundays, Oceanside on Thursdays, and Little Italy on Wednesdays. read more

My husband and I are frequent goers of Hopnonomous Brewery. We were excited about this food truck, Turkish Grill, as we never saw them at our local brewery before. The owner at Hop had amazing things to say, as well. We tried them tonight and their food and service are top notch! I couldn't even get a photo of their food because I ate it so fast (my apologies as they don't have many photos but I'll post some if they come back to Hop). We loved the lamb plate with rice, hummus, salad... and I think we had the chicken sabosiks (like a pita dumpling)... delicious! Whats more, their service is memorable! He truly cares and is so on top of everything. Check them out! My one tiny piece of advice if they see this... please offer more napkins. Every food truck though that ever comes to Hop doesn't offer more than one tiny silverware packet napkins and I've seen guests here have to go to the restrooms and use the hand paper towels. Again, that's all food trucks but throwing it out there as something to improve for 2024! read more

I've been wanting to try my good friend's food truck place for a while. I am here at December nights and surprised him. I tried the gyros sandwich and it is by far one of the best gyro I have had. I asked the guy taking orders what I could get vegan and he claimed the falafel plate and spinach pies were vegan. I asked him what vegan cheese they used and he ignored my question. This was the first Once I got them they were loaded up with cream that was clearly not vegan. Also, it cost me $37!! Insane. Avoid this place at all costs if you're vegan or have any dietary restrictions. They absolutely don't care and flat out LIE! I wish places like this faced legal consequences for fraudulent unethical practices like this!! read more

Make sure to ask about their prices, the menu had none listed, my mistake. Ordered a bowl, wrap, fries, and an extra protein. Came out to $65...I couldn't believe it. The menu said +$2 for extra protein so I asked, the lady thought about it and said "street fair prices." Seemed shady and dishonest. Really overpriced and the food was kind of bland. I ordered a gyro wrap and the meat looked like someone chewed it up and spit it out...not typical gyro meat. The kebabs were under seasoned and bland. The seasoned fries were mismatched frozen fries and had no seasoning. Would not recommend or purchase again. Much better options around town for this kind of food. read more

I was too excited and forgot what this gyro angel said they were, but they're meat pastries with beef and chicken. Being the lazy glutton that I am, I also dipped my toe into a gyro plate. My friend and I were walking through the Hillcrest farmers market and followed our noses to the most incredible smelling stand there, leading us to this place. The guys working that were working there were incredibly friendly and the food didn't take long at all. We shared a gyro plate since it was enough for 2 people to eat and we loved it! The meat was tender, melted in your mouth, and had the perfect amount of spices. The bed of rice it was on was subtle in flavor yet fluffy and delicious. Sauce was amazing too!! After being away the whole lockdown in Oceanside, my friends have returned serving some of the most juicy kabobs I've ever had. All those Mediterranean flavors, amplified by the Turkish distinctness. I've always frequented either the Lamb Kabob Plate or the Mixed Kabob Plate. But I've tried nearly everything and it's all a wonderful grill flavored trip. Having to be completely Halal is also a wonderful plus. You won't regret getting even the Lemon Chicken Plate. If you're looking for flavor, Turkish Grill will always hit that spot. read more

I saw this business at the Linda Vista Day Fair on Saturday 27th April. I brought a Lamb Pita Wrap, it was served with French fries. It cost $20 and I was only told the price at the cashier (it was not listed on the menu). I saw the same meal from the same establishment for $16 on Sunday. This is ridiculous, and their pricing is predatory. The persons in line were saying the same thing. Shame!!! Also the costs of the food booths at Linda Vista Day Fair was between $500 and $700 on the day. read more

Bad experience all around. I ordered a plate and a sambousek and I was shocked when I saw the total, $28 for some basic food served in styrofoam. I looked at the menu and I realized there was no pricing displayed. Shady I had already ordered and was starving so I moved forward with my order. When I got my order half was missing. So I had to wait for them to start from scratch again. When I finally had my order, first bite, the food is meat is still frozen. I returned it and I did not ask for anything because I was so frustrated. 10 min later they brought me the exact same piece now burned on the outside and finally hot inside. The plate was average, the sambousek was plain gross and it ended up in the trash. If you like overpriced frozen food, shady business practices and plain bad service this is the right place to go. read more
