It's awesome!! Well worth the money! The seats are incredible! You feel like you are in your living room in your own lazy boy! I only went to Cin 1 so I can't speak for the seats in the other cinemas. Sound is awesome and game room is fun! If you like Star Wars there is a fighter game that is amazing and well worth the $5 to play! Pros: -They have a bar!! brilliant!!! -New game room! -Best seats ever! Recline back fully! -Nice condiment bar....lots of toppings for popcorn including Ranch, Kettle Corn and melted butter. Lots of staff, did not have to wait long in lines....this is very important in my book! Cons: -Very messy behind the food counter, they don't even try to keep it clean, popcorn everywhere....this would be a health code violation in any restaurant. -Condiment counter dirty. -Bathrooms not attended. -Cost of movie tickets and snacks for 4 people approximately $100.00 -Not enough parking. People parking on the street. -Bottled water $4.50, I wish they had a water refill fountain. Tips: buy your tickets on Fandango and skip the lines outside, go right in and they will scan your QR code on your phone or tablet upon entering. When buying tickets online, if you want the Cinema 1 (rumored to be the largest screen in AZ) look for movies with "(Cin 1)" next to the title. Seats are selected when you purchase your ticket. Any seats closer than the "F" row are too close in my opinion, the screen is just too big. read more

This place is my favorite spot to see any of the new movies because it makes it feel like an event again. First of all the theater looks fantastic and it is always clean and the staff is super attentive to any needs that you may have and are very patient with questions and seniors. The bar is awesome and has a great selection of cocktails you can choose from so that you can enjoy them while you are watching your movie. All in all this place is a true gem when it comes to a movie going experience. We will keep coming here for as long as they keep up the excellent customer service and the decent prices. read more

This theater stinks. We went to get a movie, like always, and of course, it's sold out. For a brand new showing it is in s tiny theater. We also get told (without asking the manager, she barged in our conversation) that we have to pay for a seat for my under 3 yr old if he is going to sit in a seat. (Even if it's open, I had to clarify and tell her obviously if it's not sold out, his seat is free) Not only that, but the parking lot stinks also. Really dissatisfied in this location that finally opened up near our house. We will probably not be going to this location again. We are so excited to have this theater finally open in Goodyear! We had to try out the Cine 1 theater and it is awesome. I love that the seating is reserved-no need to get there early unless you want to enjoy a drink at the bar. Speaking of the bar they have a nice selection of beers and drinks and you are able to take them into the theater with you. The Cine 1 theater is very nice and the seats are very comfy. The amount of legroom is super impressive too. It is so nice being able to get up if you need to without disturbing everyone. I was impressed with the Cine 1 experience overall. The assigned seats are leather recliners and the aisles are so wide, you don't bump into anyone! Since it's so new, it's very clean! Staff were very friendly too! The Cine 1 is a mega large screen, kind of like the old Cine Capri that once stood on corner of Camelback and 24th Street (if you grew up here, you remember seeing Star Wars and other fantastic flicks there! Sigh!). All of the other theaters at this new Harkins are standard theater size, but still great! The movie prices are a little higher here, but you are paying for the overall movie experience. MEH: They are on the right track but definitely have some kinks to work out. A few issues aren't their fault. The ticket line moves slow. However that's because people have a hard time choosing their own seats. The staff isn't the friendliest . The seats are the biggest disappointment. You can't recline your seat without raising your legs. That needs to be 2 separate controls. PLUS you still have to SHARE an armrest with whoever is setting next to you. At A.M.C. the seat are noticeably more comfortable. You're definitely better off saving your money and just going to Gateway or Parkwest. read more

I cannot understand the poor reviews of those complaining about the assigned seating. 1. Don't take someone else's seat and get mad at Harkins because you can't follow rules. 2. Some people will sit in random seats hoping the others don't show up. Just politely ask them to move and show your ticket if necessary. We've never had an issue. This is the best Harkins I've ever been to. The Cine 1 is worth the higher cost. We utilize loyalty cups and popcorn vouchers to get reduced cost concessions, so we never spend too much. Thank you Harkins for providing those options! The chairs are extremely comfortable, and we have not had an issue with cleanliness. One thing that was unpleasant, especially at our movie yesterday, was the lack of temperature control. It is now summer time. That A/C should be cranking! Those that get cold easily know to bring something to layer. It was a bit warm and slightly uncomfortable. The movie theater should be a retreat from the heat, not a reminder. read more

One of the best movie theaters on the west side of town,clean and very comfy. The snack bar is nicely stocked,with the fresh smell of popcorn,what could be wrong. I absolutely love that I could go up to the ticket booth and reserve seats for a show a few days in advance (which I did for beauty and the beast). The reclining seats are comfortable and amazing! The snacks are getting a bit ridiculous. I did spend around $50-$60 on a few candies, two large popcorns, three drinks, and a pickle. A bit unsettling to say the least, but the atmosphere of the theater keeps you from thinking too much and too hard on all the money you just spent on junk food (until you walk out of course. Then you debate about life and what your role in the universe is.... and if converse shoes come in wide sizes..... just thinking out loud here). Not to mention the awesome manager Courtney! She's so cool!! I hope I got her name right... I'll check in again next week for "Logan". I'll ask if I got her name right and update this review. If I was right though, I'm keeping this as is. I gave this theater 4 stars because there was no one managing the reserved seats. My friends and I got in the theater, looking for our seats. There was a Man, already comfortable, who didn't want to move. But his wife insisted. So my friend and I were awkwardly standing around waiting for this man to go to his own seat. Amazing theatre and so comfy. I love how clean it always is and how the seats fully recline, and when I say fully I mean ALL THE WAY BACK. The movie selections are normally really good. This is a really nice theatre & I was very impressed with not just the cost, but how well it was laid out and the comfortable atmosphere! Where they lack: seating arrangements. There are literally no employees around to assist with seating. Are we supposed to know that seats are assigned? Usually you just pick a seat as you come in... apparently that is not the case as some really young jerk decided to try and "fight" me over me sitting in a seat that was apparently "claimed". I am looking around at a theatre that is nearly 85% vacant with a plethora of seats to choose from... and this guy wants to start a "fight" over me sitting in one seat in the middle of an entirely vacant row with every row behind & in front of me also vacant? Not a single attendant was around to assist with anything. I moved on my own, because confrontation is not worth it & there were PLENTY of seats to choose from! But it left a bad taste in my mouth for wanting to return in the future if I don't feel like I can just go sit & watch a movie without being harassed over a seat. Maybe it should be blatantly outlined when you purchase tickets that seating is STRICTLY ASSIGNED?! I'm not even sure if it is, or why it would matter if the theatre is more than half empty. But it was not good on an experience level for atmosphere. However, the place is very nice. The seats are very comfortable & the place is cleanly compared to most theaters. And the cost is also very reasonable, I thought it was actually a bit less expensive than usual for a popular movie showing at 8pm on a weekend! Will probably return, but a little hesitant because of the seating issue & lack of help regarding that situation. read more

WOW! This Harkins should serve as a model and example to the other Harkin theaters. Theater was in pristine conditions, super clean and smelled clean. Employees were extremely nice and helpful, from managers to the ones cleaning the theaters. Seems like people enjoy their jobs here. You could argue that its a newer establishment but im sure it will remain the same for years to come. I will definitely make the drive to go to this theater instead of my nearest locations. read more

We love this theater. The staff are friendly, the facility is beautiful, new and shiny. We love the reclining seats with cup holders. The seats are like the seats you have in a home theater room. It's nice you can bring alcoholic drinks in. Makes it an actual date night. You can arrive early, sit in the bar, have a drink and wander down to your movie experience before it begins. One thing we love is being able to pre-purchase our seats so we don't have to get in 1 1/2 hrs early for a show. Our seat is guaranteed, where we like to sit. We also like being able to purchase from the kiosk (or home) when lines are long. read more

Great Experience. Came here for matinee. Wasn't packed all. This was my 1st time at one of these theaters so I had high hopes. Hawkins Goodyear didn't disappoint. Booking online was super easy and straight forward. Went in stopped at the bar for a drink- which you can take to your seat. The seat omg super comfy good luck staying up for your movie. Poor customer service and manager training. I went to the movies here tonight, and I arrived 30 minutes before my showing. Stood in line for refreshments. I got to the counter and gave my loyalty number, and asked for the popcorn. They said I didn't have the popcorn perks, so I went up to the customer service station and asked them to look on my account to see when I last purchased the perks, I could swear I had bought them at the beginning of the year with my cups. The first two managers had no idea how to look it up. Finally, a third manager came over, and they started pulling up the account. I was taking them a long time, so I said, "Let me purchase the perks, and I'll come back after the showing." Went back and stood in line again to only be told I don't have the popcorn perks. Went back and saw the same manager I punched then from. At this point, the move starts in two minutes. The manager should have just taken me up and given me a bag of popcorn so I could make my showing since he knew I just purchased the perks. What he and the Senior Manager did is refund the $30 popcorn perks and $24 for tickets and lose a customer that has been going to Harkins for over 20 years. I just signed up for AMC. read more

My only concern is for whatever reason the cupholder seemed really loud, when someone places there cup inside of it so as a courtesy to everyone else please gently place your cups down slowly when putting back into the cupholder. I had a girl sitting next to me this past Saturday who kept slamming her cup in the cupholder really rude. read more

Wow! What a movie experience! My husband and I watched "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" in the Cine 1 theater. Man, it was HUGE. We started off at the bar. Yes, you heard that right, there is a bar INSIDE this theater and you can take it in with you. The nice thing about this cool feature is that there is no tipping allowed so the price you see is what you pay. The prices are standard bar prices, $6-$7 for beer, $8-9 for wine, and $10-$14 for cocktails. The selection of beer on tap is great! Lots of popular and local options for the beer drinkers like us. Once you go into the massive Cine 1 theater, be prepared to oooh and aaaah. The room looked like I was in a symphony hall. It was pretty majestic. Let's not forget about those comfy leather recliner seats! They even came with beer, errr I mean drink holders! The only thing is if you are a tall person, over 5'7, you feet are going to dangle from the recliner (I hate that). But overall, the facilities were new, the seats were comfy, and the service was good. I can't wait to see another movie here! read more

My first impression of this theatre was that it looked huge and the parking looked super packed! Usually, Id get frustrated and anxiety about parking and standing in line, but this time around I had the option to purchased tickets online ahead of time aaaaaand had the option to choose our seats. The seats are all reclining which is really nice! Surprisingly there was no line walking in and all the registers where open for the food. They also have a bar! ...So you can drink and recline back and enjoy your seat that you chose specifically for yourself! Also wanted to add that the place is very clean, so far I've had great service, the bathrooms smell and look nice, and of course... the bar! read more

We love this place! I grew up watching a ton of movies, to me it's a mini vacation in a well air conditioned place. We went to see Predator and I didn't have breakfast yet. It was one of those roll out of bed and into the theatre type of Saturday mornings. I thought hey try something new, so I ordered the angus burger combo. Yes, Harkins serves the burgers! The cashier asked me if I wanted everything on it which was surprising, so I said no onions please. She also asked me if I wanted sharp cheddar or smoked gouda. I had no idea what to expect but those were fancy questions. I ordered the burger with fries and a medium drink which I upgraded to a large. I got my ticket and went to the hot foods waiting area. When it was ready I was handed a very warm brown recycled bottom container with a plastic lid. We went to our seats and I opened up the lunch box. Drum roll please... Inside was beautiful! It had a pickle, a squeezey ketchup packet a picture perfect burger wrapped in paper with a side of fries. The fries were crazy crunchy, golden and delicious. The burger was giant and perfectly cooked and had sharp cheddar melted all over. The bun was sweet, soft, big and fluffy. The burger had fresh tomatoes and lettuce on it as well. I'm not kidding I couldn't have asked for a better meal. This combo was comparable to any sit down restaurant. Super impressive and awesome to know when you want more than popcorn you have some tasty options. That burger was put together with love, end scene, curtains close, lights fade to dark. read more

Great movie theater! Love the reclining seats! Very comfy and they are leather so I'm not worried about bed bugs. Huge screens. Very clean. Great service. Lots of show times. They only thing they need are pretzel bites. Their pretzels aren't very good. They are usually kind of raw on the inside and not very salty. I often look for theaters that sell the pretzel bites so that's my only disappointment when I go there. Other than that it's my favorite theater. read more

Harkins Theater is the best.... way better than AMC... cheaper tickets, better quality, lower prices for snacks and drinks (more of a selection). When you walk into the theater, it look sharp and professional. This place just from head to toe is amazing!!!! I have gone to see multiple movies at AMC and I personally felt like I got robbed... but Harkins has even reserved seating!!!! Talk about clutch, so when I'm going out on a quick movie date with my gf I can go online and reserve my seats!!! And it works. I went in to watch Ready Player One, on the bigger screen yesterday... and my gf and I got there late, but guess what was available, my seats!!! The only 2 not filled in. Our visits to this Harkins are always fantastic. You have to purchase your tickets the day prior or earlier the day of so your seat can be reserved. It's great because you don't have to worry about making it on time to get a good seat or the show being sold out. Their popcorn is really the best popcorn I've ever had!
