This is a new theater, and it's really close, so it's our first choice when going to the movies. The only thing is that it's all reserved seating so you pretty much have to buy your tickets online on Tuesday (for a big/new release) if you want to get good seats for the weekend (I bought our Black Panther tix a few weeks before!). The seats are comfortable and there's a lot of choices for snacks. It looks like the ticketing feature on their app was recently updated so it's even easier now to buy tickets online. read more

WARNING FOR WHEELCHAIR PATRONS USING CINE 1: Do not select seats F 22, the empty wheelchair slot, or F 23, the companion seat or seat for someone who transfers from a wheelchair to a regular seat. You will have an obstructed view of the screen. The ramp that leads up to row F has an area that blocks the view for people seated in F 22 and F23, especially anyone who remains in a manual wheelchair because it sits lower than the theater recliners. I found it most annoying during the two plus hour viewing of "Midway" today. I brought it to the attention of a young man in a suit, Gus, who said he would bring it to the attention of a manager. It was really irritating to spend the extra money for Cine 1, which costs an additional three dollars over the cost of a regular Senior Matinee admission, only to have an inferior viewing experience, plus the ticketing fee for buying it through the Harkins Awards app on top of it. Came out to spend thanksgiving with family, and ended up at the this theater thanksgiving night to watch Justice league. First off, it was extremely easy to buy our tickets online. We got to select our seats which makes it easy for us to not feel rushed to get to the theater. 2nd, we bought a souvenir cup, which allows for refills rest of the year for only $1.50. Red, the reclining seats are a lot more comfortable & makes for a much more relaxing movie experience. I must say, this is the new standard for movie theaters. We have a lot of these in California, glad to see upgrades happening out here in AZ as well. Great overall experience! Highly recommend this place for your movie watching experiences. read more

We love this theater, our first choice always! Pretty clean, considering all the popcorn that falls on the floor all day long. Great food selections, including the bar. Although once my son was shushed by the staff because he was commenting on a moment that was sad for him on a movie and he could not stop crying and thinking about it, not sure if another guest complained, but we still go there. Love, love, love. Love the seats, ability to pre-purchase tix & bar. Can't beat the experience of this theater. I've seen a few movies now & not had problems with anything. The restrooms are always clean, the staff quick & helpful. It's almost like they sent the best staff from the other theaters & they all landed here. Just a great experience. Cine 1. All you need to know. Only downside I've had is a person they let back in the theater who fumbled all over my friend during a star wars premier for 10 minutes while looking for his lost phone, completely ruining the film for a while. Sometimes the managers come in and sometimes distract you because they are counting heads, but that is probably normal. read more

Ultimate comfort!!! I love the plush reclining leather seats so much. I can never go back to a normal theatre after being spoiled here. The bar is also an added bonus and serves great bellinis. My only wish is that there were more food options and that the popcorn was less salty. read more

I like the loyalty rewards so most definitely staying with Harkins. AMC esplanade seats have become trashy and only have recliners in the 21 & over side. read more

Much needed theatre for us in the far west valley and one of the best things about this place is that all the theatres are modernized.

We came for our first visit on a Thursday afternoon. Considering there were all of 2 customers in the entire refreshments area, I was surprised that it took my daughter and I 10 minutes to get our couple of food items. So leave yourself plenty of time if you're getting hot food refreshments. I also found the theater to be a bit warm. Otherwise, the reserved, super comfy seating was great! read more

This is the biggest movie theater I have ever seen. The staff is very friendly. Adult tickets cost $11 each. You can select your seats when you purchase your tickets. Concession prices are pretty reasonable. I would highly recommend the Oreo churros. The seats are very comfortable and they recline! There are large clean restrooms and plenty of parking. read more

We like coming to this theatre, it is always clean. The lines are short for concessions and they even have a full bar. The seats are so comfortable and you can pick your seat. We buy online usually so we can pick our seats. They recline and are spacious for everyone in the family. Every year we buy the cups and get refills for $1.50. I would give it 5 stars for the screen size but the theater is huge and way too many people. There was a constant flow of people walking in and out, in and out of the movie. Very annoying! Not to mention the whispers and talking coming from different sections. The bar and snack bar are cool, but if you want service to your seat while watching a movie and not have to get up to refill i would suggest Roadhouse Cinemas at the Scottsdale Pavilions on Indian Bend. Near Talking Stick Casino (tickets are the same price and they have better gourmet popcorn) . That place has really great burgers! (Tombstone burger is my favorite) but yeah, my wife and i drove 30 miles just to be disappointed and had to drive anther 30 miles back :( Oh well! read more

Went to see IT at their Cine 1 theater and omg it was amazing!!! The 83ft screen plus the very comfortable recounting seats! Everything was clean and comfortable. It was my first time experiencing a theater like this. I loved not having to show up extra early to get a good seat and being able to reserve the one you want. It was movie changing experience. I don't think I will be able to watch movies any other way now. Also, this theater serves alcohol so I was able to enjoy a kilt lifter beer during my movie. read more

Very nice movie theatre. I absolutely love the recliners. Every movie theatre should switch to this style of seating. So much more comfortable and relaxing. Feels like you are at home with a 40ft screen in your family room. All of the seating is reserved so you don't have to worry about getting stuck in the front row. love this place but if your deciding last minuet that you want to go to the movies this isn't the place to go. For as many people in the west valley and shortage of theaters you would think they would have built a bigger theater. You must book your tickets days in advance to get decent seating. I love this theater but with a busy working family its hard to plan outings so we end up having to drive all the way to Glendale for decent theaters. read more

Well good luck trying to find a seat. I hate the assigned seating. Usually if you show up 50 minutes before a movie you will get decent seats. Not here, you have to buy tickets online 6-7 hours before your showing and get stuck paying a transaction fee. I enjoy going to the theater, but sometimes it's tough to want to fight your way through the lines to get a ticket, then find a seat, and have to sit so close to strangers for hours. It use to be so unpleasant that we would just wait to watch movies at home. But sometimes I just love getting that one of a kind experience with the incredible sound on a wide screen and the smell of movie popcorn to really get immersed in what you're watching. So I was excited for the opening of this new theatre. It's a really nice for the area and it didn't feel ridiculously claustrophobic even for opening night. I just hope they can maintain the cleanliness and quality of the leather seats. My boyfriend and I were happy that you could also reserve the seats in advance and getting paperless tickets, so we didn't have to rush. Knowing that the seats reclined we felt confident enough to reserve some spots near the center even though they were three rows from the front. Pros: the screen is HUGE. Looking behind me and just seeing the scale of the walls, it felt like you were in a concert/play type theatre. And the sound was AMAZING. You really felt the bass in your seats and all around. There's quite a bit of room between you and the people around you so I don't think you ever have to worry about kicks to the back of your chair. Plus where we sat there was a small wall behind us so it was a little added privacy. Cons: Out of all the seats on opening night we got the one that was completely broken, wobbling/detached and didn't recline :( So keep that in mind for future big sell out movies. If it was a normal night we probably would have just asked to be moved to different seats but being sold out there was no where to move to and we just had to arch our necks and tough it out. I was bummed because at the end of the movie when everyone left we hopped in some other seats to try them and extended them out fully, it felt awesome! I really wish we could have gotten the chance to watch the movie reclined, it was almost like you're in a bed. The seats were definitely comfortable and I actually appreciated the cushion on the arm rests. Overall a decent first impression because we didn't get to experience the movie and Cine1 theatre in all it's glory but if you didn't have wobbly broken seats then I definitely think it is worth the $14-15 ticket price to have a roomy, reclining space you can reserve ahead of time with a really great screen and sound. read more

WOW What a theater! Not only could I reserve my seats online but the seats themselves are awesome! Nice comfy wide recliners with plenty of space between you and the person in front of you. The screens are huge! The snack bar was perfectly stocked. The popcorn was fresh and hot.
