I really want to support the movie tavern because it's right in my community and I do enjoy the smaller movie theater format. The problem I have is with the service. For the second experience in a row, we have ordered food upon entry and it has not been delivered to our seat. This time, I had to leave the theater and go request my food to be made from the food service area. They are always nice about it, but after waiting 40-50min for my bucket of popcorn, I begin to feel that overall there is a lack of organization with getting food out to customers. The theater itself and the movie production is fine. Please just fix the service!!

Dirty and worn out!!! Ewwww

Circling the drain. It's like they don't give a damn about the condition or cleanliness of the theater!! Seats are getting very worn down and are in serious need of deep cleaning!!! Get your poop in a group for crying out loud!!

Pour/tap was so bad I needed to get a straw to reach my beer.

Saw the new Jurassic Park recently and was pretty disappointed in the experience. Took a while to get a beer from the bar and I had ordered before an influx of people came.. was certainly surprised to see some of them getting served their drinks first when mine was a simple beer from tap. I think what was really frustrating was the amount of head on the beer I got. I think it was $27 for the giant mug I got.. but so much of my drink ended up as overflowing foam. It was a terrible pour or a janky tap job and I had to clean the mess up with napkins that were hard to find. The theater room itself was nothing to write home about. Seats recline and were comfy but looked worn. The sound quality was meh. Screen was really small, I could have just pirated the movie and had a better experience at home. I also had no idea how to order food.. they have menus near the door but no buttons on the trays in the theater. I wouldn't come back, there are far nicer places to go if youre paying a premium for movies with food and drink service.

The outside of the movie theater.

Today I went to the movie Tavern to see the movie the amateur very good movie. I love this theater because it's contrary to other theaters is not always as crowded and the cost of tickets on Tuesday is reduced so that's another plus for this Theatre. The tickets are six dollars to seven dollars depending on the cinema that you watch a movie plus you get free popcorn. The bathrooms are clean they're well stocked and also the employees are extremely personable very friendly and I have to say a shout out to the to the young lady named Angie. She is the best every time we go. She takes good care of us she's very qualified very friendly very customer oriented. It's very nice to see Angie every time I go there. i'm extremely happy that this theater is near where I live.

What's in this picture...liquor shelves that are practically empty at a place called a TAVERN.

I have been in denial for way to long. This used to be our favorite theater for at least a decade and a half but it is seriously struggling. And the people who are trying their best to do their jobs, god bless them. Definitely, the pandemic did not help matters. Gradually it seems that money is not being spent to maintain basic necessities. Such as soap that goes into the wall dispensers. Nope it is just refilled bottles of Kroger plastic soap dispensers. Which sounds nitpicking, but it has been like this for the past two months. It means the GM or someone is trying to make things work on a very shoestring budget. A tavern that has a very limited selection of alcohol. Definitely pre-pandemic it was visually impressive seeing a fully stocked display of bottles. Husband and I used to do the Saturday brunch in which the food used to be delish, hot, ordered and served at your seat, AND one could get a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. At my last two visits, they did not have either the champagne/Prosecco or orange juice. I was told someone has to go over to Safeway to get more orange juice. Anyway, it is HEARTBREAKING to see their journey go downhill. I will seek other places that might fill my expectations but again, breaks one heart. This place used to be thriving! Now it feels like it is barely surviving and I do not blame the everyday workers. I think they are trying their bests with the limited options they are given.

The beautiful trays

I was very disappointed in this theater. They didn't even have popcorn !! It wasn't like they had to make more. They didn't have it at all!!!What kind of movie theater doesn't have popcorn! Huge line right when you walk in with one poor guy taking everybody's orders. Then you go back to your seat and they're all worn out chairs!! All the trays have a big hole where they ripped the button out and just left it.

This theatre is very clean, has friendly staff and food and drinks that will be delivered to you. Cleanliness is important and you always see people tidying up and wiping counters down. Friendly customer service is needed, to make patrons want to return, and this theatre offers just that. A good food and drink variety is a must in todays day and age, and at Movie Tavern, they offer a plethora of items. Popcorn, candy, appetizers, meals, desserts, and alcoholic beverages are all available. Plus, if you want to come watch a sports game, they have a big screen in the lobby!

The theater itself could have used a cleaning, but the comfortable seating and excellent sound quality made up for it. We were there for Devil Wears Prada 2 and the experience was great! A nice spot for catching new releases, I'll be back.

The person greeting us was genuinely helpful and handled our single QR‑code ticket for a five‑person group with ease--even with staggered entry and part of the group arriving later. It was calm, efficient, and human in a way that's increasingly rare. The space itself felt clean, vibrant, and thoughtfully maintained. Nothing screamed for attention, but nothing felt neglected either. The environment supported the experience instead of competing with it. The popcorn deserves its own mention: fresh, hot, and actually delicious--not an afterthought. Movie theaters are one of the last public spaces where strangers quietly agree to share attention for a couple of hours. When that works, you barely notice it. This theater clearly understands that its role isn't to overwhelm you with distractions or "enhancements" beyond what is normal in an American multiplex, but to create the conditions for shared focus. I also appreciated the lack of unnecessary visual noise too long before the movie started, as the posters and advertisements/promotions were appropriate and reasonable. In a culture that constantly demands interaction, it felt respectful of attention. I walked out remembering not just what I watched, but how it felt to be there. That's the mark of a theater doing its job well--and one I'll happily return to.

Our family of seven adults and three young children descended upon the Denver Museum of Nature &…read moreScience. We joined as members, which turned out to be a great value since the membership cost less than purchasing individual tickets and allowed us to return throughout the year. Some of the toddlers were especially excited to see The World's Largest Dinosaurs exhibit (a separate ticket is required), which explores the biology and amazing anatomy of sauropods, the largest land animals ever to walk the Earth. We also enjoyed Discovering Teen Rex, which featured interactive exhibits for the kids. The fossil preparation lab was on display as well, showcasing Triceratops and Edmontosaurus fossils along with the tools used by paleontologists. Both exhibits were listed as temporary. The biggest surprise was the Wildlife Halls on the second and third floors. These 90-plus wildlife and habitat dioramas are beautifully detailed, many featuring enormous and exotic animals within realistic ecosystem settings. Everyone was impressed by how clean and vibrant they looked, especially compared to the classic dioramas at the American Museum of Natural History, which we still greatly enjoy. The Discovery Zone on the second floor was the biggest hit with the children. Designed for kids up to age eight, it offers a variety of hands-on exhibits. From uncovering buried bones in the sand to designing custom bug badges and experimenting with the force of moving water, it was difficult to pull the kids away. Outside the museum, there are additional attractions including animal statues, a playground, and a splash fountain. The museum is located within the expansive Central Park area, providing plenty of room to explore before or after your visit. We found the Denver Museum of Nature & Science to be well worth the visit and highly recommend it for adults and children of all ages.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Fun for special movie outings…read more We came to see Guillermo Del Toro's "Frankenstein" with our friends and it did not disappoint. We've been to the downtown LA one a couple of times and the drill was the same: You start by scanning the QR code and making the initial order, then during the movie you write down your order on the provided pad and pressing the service call button. You have 20 minutes after the movie ends to settle up your bill; after that they will close it out for you with 20% gratuity. We ordered: - Spicy ranch popcorn (spicy! It's a dry powder so I should've gotten some light butter on it to hold the powder to the popcorn--we kept accidentally inhaling it, doh) - Churro crunch popcorn (not too sweet, with slight salty notes that gave it a really nice touch) - Vegan cauliflower bites with celery and fries (the gochujang sauce was a little too sweet and the fries were limp--just meh) - I got a Pilsner, hubby got an IPA The food was just ok but the service and atmosphere were great. The seats weren't THE most comfortable recliners, as they didn't recline quite as much as the AMC chairs we were used to, but they were fine. One of the best things at these theaters is the 15-20 minute montage they show before the movie that's related to the feature--worth getting there early for. Some of the clips they included were really obscure and funny, like the one from the 1960s where Frankenstein goes to college and becomes a party animal, lol.

I agree with everyone here regarding the QR Code ordering! The preshow entertainment is one of the…read morebest things about this place, but you can't even enjoy it because you're on your phone trying to order food. They should at the very least have either an option to still order on paper, or an order a head option so that you can just order everything before you get there. AMC and Harkins even do that... You can say what time you wanna pick it up and then you can just pick it up on your way in. Since there's no human interaction anyway they might as well just let us do that. I also felt bad for the server because I didn't feel like he deserved what I would normally tip on the bill, but it's not his fault and I'm not sure how they're getting paid. It's not really fair to the workers either. So I tipped low on the app and then I felt bad so I gave him an extra money on my way out. The whole thing just really sucks.
