I came here during the holidays to see Ella McCay as Jamie Lee Curtis has a major role in this film and by the description, seemed to be a good way to spend a few hours during the holidays. I've been to a few other Harkins Theatres including the one in Ahwatukee and Chandler Fashion Center and this one by far is the most mediocre one. For one, the theatre I was in was one of the smaller ones and the seats were just regular seats. I've been quite spoiled with very luxurious, plush and super comfy recliners at the other Harkins Theatres, so that was a bit of a letdown. What I did like about this Harkins is their bar lounge and it was the first time I had a beer at a Harkins, wow! It wasnt cheap and there were no happy hour specials but I was still pretty excited to watch a movie with an adult beverage vs a soda. It was also dinner time, so I ordered some chicken fingers. Both beer and chicken fingers were solid. Bar is really nice and honestly too bad not many people taking part in it. Bathrooms were clean and theatre was ok, smaller than I would like with more traditional seats. Maybe my fault I chose a less popular film that only had one showing per day. Movie wasn't bad, worth a watch with some good dialogue, all great actors. Ella McCay probably a good Lifetime movie honestly. Im glad I saw it and Jamie Lee Curtis's performance was pretty good! This was my second time here & I love Harkins because the staff is so friendly & always happy, the theater seats are very comfy, the membership perks are great, the loyalty cups help save money, plus the big bags of popcorn you can buy & bring home are so worth it! Came with residents from my neighborhood via Archwell to see the newest Mission Impossible movie. I had Birthday Perks to use via my membership which was a plus! My husband and I opted for a last minute movie night this past weekend and chose Harkins Theatres Superstition Springs location due to the movie time options. We also had two harkins movie tickets/VIP/Gold passes and free popcorn coupon, so were excited for a "free" movie night! Though it was not free and we were required to pay a surcharge for our tickets since they were bought in the past, which is really annoying. Honestly, defeats the purpose, why sell "tickets" if they don't cover a whole "ticket." It was only a few dollars, but it's sort of the principal. Though this theatre seems newer and had a bar and overall modern feel, the seats themselves are traditional movie seats, so to say I was surprised is an understatement! I've become very spoiled and love the roomy and reclining seats that most Harkins and theatres as a whole offer! After looking at their website, it looks like all their theatres have the stadium seating and I am not sure if its something they will or plan on updating. The overall experience was not impacted and we enjoyed the movie, solid sound and no complaints other than having to "pay" for what should have been a "free" ticket. read more

Everyone's always nice at this harkins. I was surprised that today it was quite busy considering it was a weekday. We purchased the new refillable cups, but since we just have lunch we skipped the popcorn. I will say, though, that Harkins has the best popcorn of all the different theaters. read more

WICKED!!! Need I say more? Harkins as always does this YELP'er right! I was able to order my tickets weeks in advance and ordered my concessions at the same time, so all I needed to do was show up and pick up the mobile order. Service is always great and I love the matinee time because the staff makes sure my items from concession are fresh! The temperature in the theatre was comfortable and the sound was booming! I just so happened to watch WICKED in 3D and it was a beautiful sight.. just don't forget to get your special glasses .. I forgot them at concessions and had to go back out to get them. I haven't been to a Harkins in over 18 years. As a teenager, I frequented this harkins EVERY weekend. I took my children last night to see wicked. The theatres were fine, the chairs were fine, the floor has that chronic sticky that is in every theatre. But what pissed me off was that harkins removed the popcorn flavoring... WTH?! Why would you remove the popcorn flavoring? I ordered three large bags of popcorn, of course I got the butter... because that's what the flavor sprinkles stick to! When I paid $49 for my popcorn and soda, I was so excited to run to the side counter where the popcorn flavoring once resided... only to my DEVASTATION for it to not be there! Well seats are old school . Don't recline. But before the movie, we sat at the bar. Bartender encouraged us to get X-Large popcorn promising free refill. However! When we went to refill... she didn't register a phone number so we couldn't get that. And even having the bag, they told us too bad. What a joke. So I love Harkins. Hands Down. Easy service, comfortable movies, great movie experience. But overall, it's a HUGE LETDOWN for some of the food items. Large popcorns= NO REFILLS anymore. Apparently they have a new policy that they no longer take Mastercard at the snack counter. I was told this AFTER using my Mastercard to purchase movie tickets online. We ordered $42 worth of snacks and drinks and when my card declined, I was then told it was because they no longer take Mastercard. There was no signage, no warning prior to ordering, etc and now I'm standing at the counter with $40 worth of snacks and drinks and no other form of payment. I asked for a manager to figure out what could be done and the manager flat out told me we had to give all the food and drinks back. We put everything back onto the counter just to watch them throw it all in the garbage. 2 large drinks, 3 pop corns, and pretzels with cheese all in the garbage because THEY had a new policy and told NOBODY about it. We walked out and won't be back. So embarrassing and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! A new policy change should be known via signage or verbal PRIOR to ordering! What a waste. read more

BUTTER SOAKED SEATS!!! I went to watch a movie on 8/7, sound of freedom 3:20pm theater 17, row 1 seat 3-6. We noticed the ground below our seat was slippery but thought nothing of it. When I got up after the movie my clothes were completely ruined by popcorn butter! This free people hot shot jumper was $60. I'd like a reimbursement for this inconvenience as your staff should be checking the theaters after each showing! It's clear that the lights weren't turned on and the theater wasn't sanitized since the ground was puddled with butter as well! I immediately went to let a manager know that the seat was soiled with butter and ruined my clothes, the short haired brunette asked where, so I kindly let her know. She then said she will get that looked at right away. Didn't offer an apology, a free ticket or even a suggestion how to get the butter out of my brand new clothes! Had to drive home undressed so my car seat wouldn't get stained as well!!! Will never ever go to a Harkins again. Regal is cleaner, nicer and way less crowded anyways! P.S. This Harkins is in need of some upgrades. The chairs are not the type that recline and feel old and uncomfortable to sit in. The lines for the refreshments were incredibly long. Two adult tickets and a children's ticket we're about $28, and a Harkins collectors cup, water bottle, kids combo and a small popcorn were also $30 - I can't say it was worth the price. It is too hot. A lot of the customers were complaining in theater 18 last time. We did tell guest services. The employees are nice at Superstition. They said they'd adjust the air. But it took quite awhile to cool off. We've gone here for yrs. And never had this issue. We went here twice this summer. It was too hot so we've seen the last couple movies at Tempe Marketplace instead of Superstition. It was so much cooler. read more

Large theater with 25 screens, they tend to play some movies after others in the area pull out. Since it's a long drive from my house, I only come here when they are the only one playing a particular movie. No reserved seating available here so arrive early if you have a preferred seat. No reclining seats here either. Make it more affordable for families. Their bar is open from 11:30am. They will check your ID regardless and give you a wrist band if you plan on bringing your drink to a movie. No tipping accepted at the bar. Price you see is what it is. I really can't remember the last time I went to a movie theater but we decided to go catch the new top gun movie. Harkins is a solid theater. Everything about this theater screamed average movie theater. The seats are average as far as comfort was concerned. The line for the concession stands seem to be moving a little bit on the slow side. Popcorn was good. The drinks were good. Picture and sound quality were good on the movie. All in all it was an enjoyable evening but nothing more than averages far as the facility was concerned. read more

Harkins use to be the better choice for movie theaters. Now I disagree. The seats are outdated. The popcorn was too salty. The nachos tasted stale and the cheese for the nachos had a strange taste. My son got the burger and fries and he said the burger was good. Oh, and no Raisinettes. The staff was nice and pleasant which helped the theater receive the three stars. A nice clean theater without any critter issues such as bedbugs, which you can usually pick up in a movie theater if you're not careful. Trust me, I work in the pest control business so I know what I am talking about. The popcorn is always fresh and even their 'small' theater is a nice size so you're not forced to sit so close to the screen that your neck hurts from looking up. Never overly crowded, this is one of my favorite theaters to watch the latest releases in. read more

So I'm new to the state - I moved here two months ago and treated myself to an anime, Nasicaa of the Valley of the Wind, last night (5/20/2019). By mistake and not realizing the name of the theater, I bought a ticket on April 23rd (based on my bank statements and email confirmations) for Harkins Christown. I got my ticket through Atom and didn't realize how many theaters there were/what the one near me was called. I got to the window at Superstition and I didn't want nor did I have time to drive to the Christown theater. I was just going to go home and call it a night. Call it a loss. The woman, Beth, told me to go to the manager inside. I was excited because I thought they were just going to switch my tickets around somehow. I was thinking about writing a positive review because Beth and the manager seemed so helpful in a moment where I lost hope for my evening. Well, I just checked my bank account, as I do often, and see a charge for Harkins Superstition of a total of $13.75. I was charged twice when I was just going to go home. I wasn't given a receipt or even told that I was being charged, twice. I lost my job three weeks ago, a week before I lost my job, I bought the original ticket for Christown. I was going to that movie last night because I bought it and can't afford to just spend on movies. I am utterly disappointed in the staff. It makes me sad no one had integrity to tell me I was being charged twice when I said I would have rather just gone home. You people had my money but ya'll got greedy. Really upsetting. read more

Great theater! They have early showings which is nice for those that want to catch an early movie before the afternoon. Staff is Friendly and helpful. Theater is super clean, they don't have full recliners but for me that's not a big deal. For sure go and take advantage of the low crowds at least during the day. read more
