I have really been loving my rides at Harlem Cycle ( 125th). The space itself is clean and has everything you would expect from a top tier cycling studio. The staff is beyond friendly and the rides are fun. But, let's be clear, you will sweat. Also love the fact that I have encountered black instructors every time I've been and that the business is black woman owned. Looking forward to my next ride and consistently taking the time to care for myself. See you in the saddle.

Gain 1/2 lbs at a Friday happy hour outing? Or lose it? I am excited to have participated in my first Yelp Elite Event within my own community. I am passionate and strive to support local business but, most of all womxn owned. The staff was welcoming and carried out genuine smiles and made me feel wanted and welcomed. I was happy to be in a space where I felt comfortable. Shaun the instructor accommodated all levels and emphasized the need to listen to our bodies and to work on our own pace. I wasn't pressured to catch up but, to feel the tempo and most of all have fun.

So this morning I took the 10:00 am class at the new location 60 West 125 Th Street. What a beautiful new space. The new addition to The Harlem Cycle brand is a pure gem conveniently located near all major bus and train lines. And blocks away from the whole foods' latest installment of stores. From the moment you arrive at the class, you feel welcomed as you are greeted by the staff at the front desk. The new location has a full shower for those who need to freshen up for the day. The shower is perfect for the person who may have work after participating in a cycle class. If you have read my previous reviews. You will note that customer service and clean bathrooms and spaces are number one on my list. Harlem. the cycle has passed the test and I will be honored to spend my money here. The class is perfect for any level cycle participant the cycle staff will talk you through the class in conjunction with staff on hand to help make your cycle experience a great one. From. By adjusting Your seats to check-in you will never feel as if you are left alone in the class. The class is great for couples families or solo everyone is welcomed is the vibe you get. They offer plans packages and single classes. I would recommend the plan or package you save more in the end. So if you're a harlem .native or visiting harlem cycle should be on your list of things to do.

I had a blast at my first visit to Harlem Cycle! I took advantage of the $12.50 first time visit deal (which is a steal compared to other cycling places). At first, I was a bit nervous because I had bad experiences at other cycling places. However, the workers here really put me and my friend at ease, and we were able to go at our own pace. Our instructor was great. She got our class pumped up and played some great music too. It was hip hop day, so we got to cycle to some 90s classics and current hip hop songs. They also give you a complimentary water, which is a nice touch! I'll definitely be back to visit again when they have reggae night during the week.

I had a great time here at a Yelp Elite event. I came here on a Friday evening. I was not in a very energetic mood and was worried I would be the slacker in the class. I liked that they dim the lights, like a lot. It helps you feel less self-conscious that others might be watching you, and the lack of visual distractions helps you to focus on your tempo and breathing. When you get into it, it's pretty easy to get focused, enjoy the music, and have a good time. I didn't worry too much about staying up to speed with the instructor. I went at a pace that I was comfortable with, and that worked well for me. The instructor had positive good energy, and was a pleasure to follow along with.

Tammeca (the owner)'s hip-hop class left me drenched in sweat and the music was LIIIIIT. Ruffin's 45-mim express class barely made me break a sweat and the instructions were unclear. Would I return? Yes, but only to Tammeca's class. Loved her energy, the studio is clean and I desperately need an intense workout...which I get from her. -bathroom? Yes -showers? No -lockers? No, but there are cubbies located in room where you're biking

This was an upbeat class that really helped me stretch out my arms and gluteal muscles. There were lockers, water/drinks, and cycling shoes to rent for free. Since it was my first class, I did not know how to step on the machines or take off my cycling shoes but there were employees there to assist, thank god. I just wished this was a longer class(1 hr sounds better).

With the first class ending around 10:15am, by the time you head out it's almost lunch time. I think the earliest weekday class may be 7am, which can be a challenge if you have to be at work early. Check in is easy and staff are friendly. It gets very crowded fast trying to find a spot to sit and change shoes or get to a locker. Even worse when the next class shows up and you are trying to exit the studio and change shoes. There two single restrooms and a tight fit by the mirror once you step outside of a restroom. They offer hair ties, spray deodorant, Malin & Goetz lotion, ear plugs... fairly standard. There are no showers, but they noted I could shower downstairs at Pure Barre because they share. An employee helped set up my bike before class started. The studio felt like most crowded cycle studios in NYC. The air circulation wasn't the best and I noticed they kept opening the door every so often. A little distracting when the studio is dark but you periodically get the bright lights from the doors opening. Music wasn't really my favorite. Overall friendly staff, but I didn't leave feeling like I had an intense workout. This location was a bit out of the way for me and felt very cramped from seating to restrooms. Perhaps the other studio locations are more spacious?

Pre-pandemic, I'd take spin classes in-studio and then in 2019, I bought my bike because I loved the classes so much and wanted easy access to them. Peloton instructors are golden, once you find the ones that resonate the most for you (kind of like therapists). When the pandemic hit, in-class was suspended, teachers did their thing from their homes and so it went for a while before the new studio opened and then it seemed impossible to get into a class, so I didn't even try. Now that I've gotten in, I cannot wait to go back! The space is huge, with separate rooms for each class. I took both a spin class with Robin and a yoga class with Anna. Check-in was seamless, and as always, the staff is informative and accommodating, from check-in to locker room and classrooms. If you're looking to buy apparel, it's on the upper level past the locker rooms. There's also areas in which you can hang out before/between/after classes. Quick tips: I was worried I'd be stuck grabbing a bike that would be prominently on camera. I had no need to worry because those are highly desirable spots and people get there early to get their place in line and I observed those were the bikes that people grabbed first. The yoga studio is small, seven mats. It's a more intimate experience and Anna, who is so lovely, got to know everyone in the class and spent significant time afterwards for photo ops in the studio.

Other cycle classes I've done in the past were more intimidating because there were 100 people in one ride. They had a purified water fountain system to refill your water bottles. Everyone that worked their was kind and engaging. I definitely enjoyed my experience. Keep in mind that there's no dedicated parking lot, just street metered parking nearby.
