As an Olympic lifter, I was told not to "slam" weights on the platforms. The problem is that these platforms, bumper plates, and racks are specifically designed for Olympic lifting, where safely dropping heavy weights is often part of proper technique. The rubber-and-wood platforms are literally built to absorb the impact of dropped bumper plates. I've trained at numerous Planet Fitness locations that have platforms, and Fort Washington is the only one where I've been reprimanded for using the equipment as it was intended. If the gym is going to provide Olympic lifting equipment, staff should understand its proper use and have consistent expectations for members who train with it.

When I started training with Mundah I came in extremely obese. I had no idea what I was about to embark on. During my initial consultation with "Coach Mundah" he stated it was going to be the most difficult thing I will ever do in my life. I didn't comprehend what he meant at the time because in my mind I was only concerned with 'losing weight'. "How will this be the most difficult task in my life?" I thought. Now, 200 training hours later, I realize Mundah was spot on about what he told me. I had tried everything to lose weight before. For years I struggled with my weight going up and down, yo-yo dieting programs, various diet pills, gimmicks, and even other trainers. None of those brought me anywhere close the success or results I gained training with A-GAME Strength & Fitness. Training with A-GAME has made a significant impact on my life. I have learned more about what it takes to live the health and fitness lifestyle than I ever imagined. Never have I been involved with someone as intensely passionate, driven, loving, giving, motivating, or highly-organized, as Mundah. One of the first indicators that I was dealing with an elite professional was when he instructed me to complete a series of prep-work, such as seeing my doctor for a full physical to include a cardiovascular exam, and having my blood drawn for my blood type. This may seem trivial because normally you are supposed to visit your doctor before starting a physical exertion program; but to me this was major, as I was not aware my diet should be based on my blood type. This is just one example of many of how Mundah has enlightened me in my new fitness journey, making this training experience the most rewarding. Training with A-GAME has re-directed my focus towards sacrificing, organizing my life, getting into a routine, changing my mindset, and making healthier choices. My journey is really just beginning and although I have made significant strides with my weight loss goals - 72 lbs. in my first 100 hours [5 months] of training! - I still have well over 100 lbs. to lose. Although this journey has been difficult mentally/emotionally, I don't regret any of it because of the results. I am slowly transforming into a new, healthier, and successful woman. I never realized how essential the mental and spiritual aspect is until now. A concept difficult to comprehend when you are stuck in an "obese mindset", as I have been for decades. Mundah's training philosophy of BEING THE BEST and his coaching approach of developing ('ordinary') people like me into elite individuals is like nothing I've ever experienced, which makes A-GAME stand above the rest. He does not take the "cookie-cutter" approach my previous trainers did. His program is uniquely designed and tailored to his clients according to their fitness levels; down to literally, every second of the workout, which is amazing to me. She was supposed to be in a class for 9 - 12 year olds, but that abruptly changed when the business lost a new dance teacher at the start of the season. Basically, this teacher left without any notice the following day of work...but now I understand why, since this business is so mismanaged. Instead, the business decided to combine my daughter's class with the Pre-Ballet class comprised of 3 - 5 year olds. Now, let's fast forward to the end-of-year showcase that took place yesterday (6/17/17). This event took place at Crossland High School. According to the written program that everyone received upon entering the auditorium, my daughter's ballet class was supposed to perform 2nd, after an opening performance from her instructor. The co-owner (part of a husband/wife team), serving as the MC of the program announced that there would be changes to the written program. Based on these changes, my daughter's class was up first with their, "Infusion" dance number. At the start of the "Infusion" dance performance, I had noticed that only the 3-5 year olds were on the stage. The little ones danced for 3-minutes or so, and then my daughter's age group hit the stage. My daughter and the other 9-12 year olds were only on the stage for about "10 SECONDS" when the music and lights abruptly shut off. Of course, I'm a bit confused and distraught, wondering what happened to the performance my daughter spent 10-months rehearsing for. During the 15-minute intermission, I had spoken with the MC (co-owner) about my confusion around my daughter's "10 second" performance -- and I wanted to know if my daughter's class would have an opportunity for perform their piece in the show. He claimed that he didn't know anything about this, and that the show would continue on "as-is" with no additional performances. My family in attendance (including me) were absolutely disgusted by the whole ordeal. After the show, I headed to pick-up my daughter from the dressing room. I had asked her what had happened. Basically, my daughter stated that the stage manager had messed up the music to her team's performance -- hence, the reason why her performance only lasted 10-seconds (versus 4-minutes). When my family member asked my daughter's instructor why she was unable to dance, the instructor stated that he wanted for the girls to take the stage again for their performance -- but was told by the co-owner (Toni Baptiste) that wasn't happening because she wanted to end the show "On Time". Toni's ridiculous stance cheated by daughter and her peers out of a ballet performance they had practiced 10-months for. The silly thing is that I had to purchased a $100 tutu costume that my daughter only wore for 10-seconds. Honestly, I may seek legal action against this business...their poor decision-making needs to be accounted for.
