I'm not really rating Cascade AC on the whole in this review but rather their policy or lack…read morethereof. I enjoy swimming and Cascade has the best pool in the area so participation here is a matter of limited selection. My problem is the lack of policy/signs/refereeing something that keeps inconsiderate lane swimmers in line. Cascade has no posted policy or signs that direct how people should behave when there are others waiting for a lane. Since there are numerous older adults that seem to have developed blindness because they don't 'see' people waiting nor do they ask anyone. Instead, they see someone getting out of the pool and head directly to the lane that just opened up simply not caring that others are waiting. Most people seem to want to avoid conflict so nothing gets said empowering those who are already feel privileged enough to just jump in. Then there's me. I will say something and I might not be nice about it because your rudeness put you in my path. So, lane cutters if you can't turn to those waiting and ask then expect to get called out or for me to jump in 'your' lane. I simply won't stand for your rude behavior or whatever excuse you have for being like you are. As for Cascade - this on you. You have no policy, no guidance and no monitoring leaving us adults to police themselves. Fortunately, most do an exceptional job of policing themselves and have decency and courtesy. However, there are some that don't possess decency and probably have limited self-control when confronted about their behavior that could lead to an altercation between parties. If this were to happen to me you can bet that I would seeing you in court... And, while you are pondering this matter please scrub the pool! It's filthy. The walls and floor of the pool are coated in brown slime that cause slip when trying to push off. P.S. this also applies to those that are in a lane and invite someone that just shows up to join them instead of the next person in line as it should be. Friends don't get a free pass to the head of the line.

After touring the gyms I came away with the impression that Stafford was by far the best gym in the area. The staff is superb and the gym and equipment are clean. None of that terrible "gym" smell that you often get at the gyms as they age. They also do an excellent job at making sure there aren't so many members in the gym that there are long wait times to use the equipment.

"A place where everybody knows your name... and you're always glad you came." [1]…read more My review is based on my membership of one year where I've consistently visited 4x/week. Beginning during the end stages of COVID restrictions, it was so nice to experience outdoor swimming, the hot tub, and social time with other members. Swimming is my main experience at the club so here is what you should know: * Six lane outdoor salt water pool that is open year round (I've done laps in the snow, sleet, and hail). * You can reserve four of the six lanes and it is very competitive to get times, especially during the warm weather months when you are competing for space with the swim team, swim lessons, and aqua aerobics classes. * The other two lanes are left open for first come first serve usage and swimmers are encouraged to share. * The outdoor hot tub is for 14+ over. I have only taken one yoga class at the club and all classes have you reserve your spot. If you cancel less than 12 hours in advance or are a no show, you are charged a $10 fee. Personally, I don't mind since the reservation system makes me accountable and if I don't have a reservation, I'm less likely to go workout. The club is a nice mix of serious athletes (I'm surrounded by masters swimmers and triathletes), retirees, and families. Prior to my membership, my teenage son was a member for two years and loved the weight room, sauna, and steam room. The club as been open for awhile and is definitely showing its age and is need of some maintenance upgrades in the pool area. That being said, I have been very happy with my membership here and the personal feel, literally being greet by name when entering and exiting, and the wonderful customer service. This club is very different from the large national chains, so to each their own. Definitely recommend a trial membership at this club as well as others in the area to see which is the best fit for you. [1] I am currently re-watching this classic sitcom and while not aging well in the post Me Too era, still good for a lot of laughs.

Recently, after a lengthy period of time, I have seen changes in both the conditions of the place, and a new manager, Tommy, who came from other locations of 24 HF. The past months since he has arrived, I have seen new improvements and changes for the good. It started with the cleanliness of even things like the front windows and entrance and equipment that has been long ignored is being repaired. The aquatic section which has been important to me and consistently out of service, has been addressed and repaired and seems to be no longer a bandaid solution. I am really encouraged by Tommy who genuinely listens, is interactive with the customers that he meets, and walks around and checks his club for conditions. I live nearby, didn't want to change appreciate the great employees who, up to now, seemed to want to address their customers, but were not in a position to follow through,, and thank the owners for bringing us a person who shows since he arrived here some months back, that his customers are important. I expect, as more and more equipment is brought back online, that I will change my rating to "5 Stars" and for the first time since I have been here, will be pleased to renew my membership when the time comes. Keep up the great work!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a world where sweat glistens a bit more elegantly. The MAC isn't just a gym it's a sanctuary of stature. You don't simply walk in... oh no, you belong here. Membership isn't a convenience, it's a declaration. Behind those doors lies a realm of polished marble, hushed conversations, and the faint, dignified clink of perfectly chilled water glasses. Inside, it's sleek immaculately so. Machines aligned like soldiers of fortune, locker rooms that whisper spa-day indulgence, and a calm that feels imported from somewhere far more exclusive than downtown Portland. This is where ambition meets tranquility... where CEOs, legacy names, and those in-the-know escape the city's chaos without ever leaving it. And the vibe? Think Nob Hill with a gym membership and a trust fund. There's no chaos, no clanging weights echoing into oblivion just refined motion, deliberate pace, and an understanding that wellness, like wealth, should be curated. So if you find yourself wandering downtown, peering in like Gatsby outside the green light, just know: this isn't merely a place to work out. It's a lifestyle one you don't stumble into... you ascend into. Lifestyles of the fit and the fabulous, darling.

The a la Grivois cocktail started the experience on a high note: amaro and vermouth together make for a velvety sweetness. The house green soup was a winner, I'm sure the French Onion would be also. We were there for prime rib night and their version rivals that at Clyde's: a hearty cut and full of flavor. At first glance, I was disappointment to see scalloped-type potatoes, but these were the best I've had. The warm bread and salad were above par. Great service by one of the long time waiters.

I started looking for a way to get him extra coaching and happened upon Shoot 360. After that we signed up for monthly allotments of minutes to use for shooting and ball handling with their state of the art training methods in shooting cages and ball handling stations. It is not coaching one on one but it is measured and through measurement we can see improvement from session to session or where to allot more time to. Count on about $60 a month for your young player. However I do see middle aged people here a lot, so the pick up game players must see a value in this as well. Coaching is sporadic, you can pay for specific one on one time extra, but as The Tax Deduction runs through his drills he is usually visited by one to three coaches who correct and encourage. Sometimes I have to get a little pushy to get a visit, but this place can be busy so it is understandable. What it is though is state of the art, it looks like something a NBA team would use and so far it is working as my son gets closer to competing at middle school soon. **I am not one of *those* parents, if ever wants to leave basketball he is free to,

There was a time about 3 months ago I noticed a car had its window smashed in. So be careful and be sure to keep your valuables at home. There are two parking lots, one on each side of the dog park area. It typically is a safe neighborhood. They also have a skatepark, and a back-to-back basketball (two hoop) court along side it. Baseball field too, just on the other side of the park, and short forest trails. I give it 5 stars because it's a great park, and has all of these amenities to take part in at the same time all in one place. Typically parks, walking trails, skateparks, baseball fields, pavilion areas, and dog parks are completely separated by location; which is why I find this park to be so unique. They also have bathrooms, both next to the baseball field and the other near the park/pavilion.I love that it's just down the road from my house, my family and I have created so many memories over the years.
