I've never worked in such a beautiful environment as Harmony Yoga! Everyone who steps foot into that place seems to be filled with love and gratitude to be there. The entire staff is caring and passionate as each one aids in helping each student/staff member to feel at home. I find myself going to work early, and leaving late. The vibe that Harmony embodies is timeless, and the classes are incredibly and beautifully unique. It's a shame that some people feel the need to talk down on others to somehow make themselves feel better. All the more reason to practice yoga! Might I add that Chappy and Najla have shown nothing other than pure love from the deepest part of their being, which is why they've become like family to me and countless others. I highly suggest trying out Harmony Yoga for oneself...YOU make the judgment call! And how about this, if you don't like it, you can take that class for free. My only complaint about Harmony Yoga is that they don't offer as many classes as I would like. Hey Harmony, how about a 6 a.m. class, please so I can come see you before work!? Otherwise, the location is perfect for me - it's within walking distance of my house. The pricing for single classes is average, at $18/class. I purchased a 5 class package. I went to the 6:30 p.m. class on Tuesday, and I loved it! The class is full, but not too crowded. I loved the instructor. The music is just right. The instructor did just the right amount of adjustments (just enough to help advance your practice, not enough to ever intrude on your practice). The class was well taught to appeal to all levels. She gave beginner, intermediate and advanced poses, which I appreciated, since I'm intermediate in some poses, and beginner in others! I was a Yoga Works member for a while, and I always felt there was something missing from my practice there. Harmony Yoga fills the void. read more

Took a Saturday Level 1 class with Simone. She warned us when we first walked in that it wasn't really a Level 1 class as much as it was a deep stretching and some ab work class, that we could reschedule if we were looking for more of a flow class. We were actually excited that it was something different and we weren't disappointed. The 90 min class went by in what felt like 45 and Simone gave everyone enough freedom to adjust the movements to where your body needed them. Haven't feel this loose in my back/hips/flexors in a long time. Already planning on going back next week. Can't speak for the difficulty of Harmony's other teachers/classes, but for a stretch class, this was simply outstanding. read more

Yoga at Harmony is just an amazing experience. I'm a lightweight and only practice once or twice a week, but my daughter practices four times a week and absolutely loves Harmony, too! Most yoga enthusiasts would agree that the teachers make ALL the difference. Harmony's staff is exceptional, and helps me work hard to improve my practice while getting a terrific workout. I've completed my 1 month package at Harmony Yoga, and it was a great experience! I took Susan and Oona's classes. Susan teaches detailed poses/movements, and I was surprised that her small adjustments really changed how I used my body. Oona's class is more energetic and a little faster, and you can sweat a lot in 75min! Both instructors gave me happy, positive energy all the time :) The studio is clean and there is lots of parking available. I surely recommend this yoga studio! read more

I am lucky enough that my jobs allows me to go to the noon classes during the week. Susan and Oona are amazing. Susan teaches form and attention and Oona makes you push yourself and constantly get stronger. I love them both and their classes are a great balance for me. This studio is amazing. It has changed my life. It has made yoga a part of my life and my mother's. I originally bought sessions for my mother and now we go regularly. We've been going for a few years now. Susan, Oona, and Katie are excellent teachers and have amazing classes. All levels can practice at this studio, when I started I was a beginner and now I'm thinking of getting into teaching. I really love that this studio values more than just the physical and incorporates the mindset and spiritual side of yoga as well! I absolutely love this place! The yoga is challenging and if you go here your break a sweat and probably try something new. They always challenge me with new balances and poses. Ive only taken Najla and Jaclyn but they are both amazing teachers. I cant wait to try some others. I've been going to Harmony Yoga for 5 years. I love the teachers and the variety of classes that they offer. Their Vinyasa classes are open to all levels are are a great workout whether you are just starting out or are seasoned and want to do more of the advanced moves like inversions. Their Yin classes are great for gentle stretching and relaxation--my husband really enjoys these. I would highly recommend Harmony Yoga. read more

I am a newer student to Harmony Yoga and am so loving all of the class varieties and the wonderful teachers. I had always heard good things about the studio, but I moved from the area years ago and never had a chance to experience their offerings for myself until recently through their virtual zoom classes--a silver lining during these days of quarantining and distancing. I've now taken 20 classes over the last month and am really loving them all. All of the teachers are super knowledgeable, give thoughtful cues for safe adjustments and lots of variations depending on the level of your practice that day. The vinyasa flows have been amazing for working towards better balance and flexibility and I've been bookending my weekends with yin restorative classes on Friday and Sunday evenings which leave me feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated--like a little treat for my soul during these crazy times. I'm so grateful to have found this Harmony Yoga studio. I have been to a wide variety of classes and the instructors are awesome. They have challenging routines, provide clear instruction in the right tone, offer options to accommodate the group, and personal attention even in large groups. Can't say enough good things about all of them, they are very well trained. The studio is also very nice, with a spacious Yoga area, lots of free parking, and a comfortable waiting area. I also like the heated yoga, not to hot but lets you work up a good sweat. Have lost 8 lbs in 20 classes plus I feel so much stronger. I highly recommend this place. read more

After a month trial, I bought an annual membership! No pretentious b.s. at Harmony. The front desk staff actually care that you're there. They not only give eye contact and daily help signing in...but the classes are Right On. The schedule and Instructor's stay consistent which is absolutely helpful with my busy retired life. I loved this Yoga class with Chappy! It was a great mix of strength and cardio all in one. A great athletic workout that made me feel energized and refreshed for the rest of my day. I'm not a big fan of Bikram because I don't like doing the same exercises each time, and this place switched up the sequence, speed, and intensity of all the poses each time I went. Great experience. Super clean. The MOST thorough work-out I've ever experienced! Unique music, unique sequences, beautiful space. I have nothing but praise for the studio's overall vibe and different classes that I've tried, my issue with this studio is the ear-splitting music, especially at 7am. I am more of a traditional yogi (classic Hindu yoga) - I prefer my practice to be zen and about the breath, but I find the loud music distracts the rhythm of my breathing. Adding insult to injury, the instructors yell over the music to be heard. I reiterate, every instructor I have taken has been an excellent teacher and led a great class, it's just that most of them blast the music (and not always good music). The two who played their tunes at a respectable level were Simone and Susan (namaste ladies). read more

Harmony Yoga is such a great yoga studio. The people and teachers are all very friendly and helpful, and the studio is always in pristine condition and clean. I particularly enjoy Julie's heated vinyasa flow classes because she also includes a Pilates aspect to them. You will not be disappointed by taking a class here. read more

When I first moved to Hermosa I loved this studio; Chappy's classes were amazing. As soon as it was sold, the vibe changed. To me it became cold, dark and un-welcoming. I've been fortunate to have practiced at studios in LA, San Francisco, New York and Dallas so I feel like I've seen it all. I won't be going back to Harmony. read more

I have taken classes here for a few years now and I highly recommend the studio because of the space, teachers, and staff. The place is anchored by Chap and Naj, a sort of yin and yang of yoga, but the other teachers/classes are all quality as well (especially Kim, Jaclyn, etc.) . Naj leads a challenging flow class that is never the same twice (read: fun and creative). Chappy's style is more Buddha meets boot camp, Chakra meets Shakur (2Pac), Navasana meets Nirvana (more the band), etc. Hopefully, you get the picture. Oh, and after your sweatfest you are rewarded with fresh fruit. Yum! read more

I love it here. While it is a little pricey, their packages are very reasonable for someone who might not be going three times a week. I am pretty new to yoga, I have done it on and off for years, but I felt totally comfortable here being surrounded by far more advanced yogis. I really loved that the instructor, Julie, gave multiple options of poses to do depending on comfort level/experience. I did not feel competitive as I weirdly do in other yoga classes where people decide to do inversions as often as possible even when the form is wrong (it's like a new trend happening and it doesn't seem necessary to do when they don't follow any of the instructor's suggested poses for flow). Harmony kicks ass. I've been practicing for about a year now and tried just about every studio in the South Bay. The instructors are great. The space is tops. It's spacious yet cozy. It's quite and soothing. Nothing I hate more than being able to hear everything that goes on outside...traffic, etc. Parking is excellent. Believe me when I say that most studios have HORRIBLE parking situations. Schedule is cool because you know you can get yourself into a class everyday with one of your favorite instructors. Everyone's attitude is cool and down to earth. You definitely feel like your at home when your at Harmony. Love this place. It literally changed my life. So thankful to have it around. Another point...I was a complete noob when I started at Harmony. I was concerned that I might not get the attention that I needed to progress. I was very pleased to find out that the instructors give the noobs the extra attention they need to advance their practice. I recommend Chappy, Najla and Kimberly. i met najla about 5 years ago. she had just finished teaching a class, and her energy was infectious. she invited me to take her class at harmony, and i've been going regularly ever since. even after moving from HB to RB, i've stayed loyal to harmony. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Been driving by it for years. I found the space to be great, the staff very friendly, and the classmates to be attitude free. Lots of regular locals. Plus the flow kicked my ass, and the loud music helps you get into it (which I love - as a former athlete, silent yoga bores me). So if you are a traditionalist go to the non-music flow class. One thing I never like is partner work, can do without touching someone else's sweat soaked body. Will definitely be a regular. read more

Love this place! They offer free classes every tues/ Thursday/ and Saturdays. The teachers for the free classes are always different and they all have different styles so you get a variety! Ken is my favorite! He makes the most out of your time and he gives you a quick massage at the end that really relaxes you!
