I hired DMV Worx (Roberto) to do this task. I told Roberto to move it to the spot away from the roof but Robert suggested wireless sensor and he could install it at the other spot. He didn't listen to me. I thought wireless sensor was a good idea because you could move it anywhere, but it was pretty expensive at $375. I told him to go ahead and install it. Two months later, we have had rains and the sprinklers are still running on wet days, and the new sensor is still not working. I contacted Roberto and when he asked me how he could help me and I told him about the problem with the rain sensor that he installed two months ago, and it is still running sprinklers on wet days. He has ignored me and would not reply. Don't hire this company. Be forewarned, this company is not in Better Business Bureau. They're under "DUFIEF consulting", not DMV Worx.

I put a bid on Home Depot (rookie mistake) and had 2 contractors say I needed a cap that could be installed for $900. That didn't seem thorough so I called evolution chimney. They had a young man and his partner came out and they went in the basement and to the roof and told me all the work I needed done. They had to add a new and wide liner, fix the deteriorating staccato, ensured that there was no chance of carbon monoxide and of course the cap. It was well worth the investment. The first appointment I had there was a scheduling mishap so the woman that took my call offered to deploy an emergency weekend team but I opted to reschedule for the next week. The work was done in a few hours. I was worried about squirrels still getting into the attic so I put a metal trap up there but nothing has been in the attic since and no water seems to be coming through the wall. Highly recommend.
