I come just for the chicken. It's a long wait so call if you can. The fries -no matter which location are an after thought. Meaning they are never fully cooked nor are they good so I always pass on getting them. This location is clean and the man behind the counter is always friends and helps out on register if the other is on a call. I have had the catfish before and it is okay. Not sure what a pizza puff is but I will give one a try one day....maybe! There other sides like coleslaw (eh) okra and mushrooms so they have options. The service wa terrible and so was the food. I asked the guy at the counter. Few times what the total was as my order was taken and then his hand was just held out for payment. Well I did an online order a day in advance of a holiday "House Music" gathering at my home. (80 wing tray) Only to call an hour less so before to confirm and be told they had no such orders on their system despite having taken payment. So after back & forth checking the order was found but meant my order was not ready on time and I had to wait another hour for prep. I tried to patronize this location when they first moved to Matteson years ago. However, the people who worked there had terrible attitudes and were extremely slow. I tried again today and the young lady who waited on me had a nasty attitude. I told her I had two separate orders with two credit cards and that seemed to bother her. When my orders were ready, she put them in the same bag. I told her they were separate and needed separate bags. Instead of placing them in separately bags, she gave me the bag to separate my own order. Of course, I told her that her attitude and behavior was unprofessional. A Customer service class should be a top priority. The way the cashier spoke to everyone in the building was unacceptable. At the time we walked in is was over 10 people waiting on their orders. Not ONCE did anyone come to the window to ask people about their orders. We had to call the phone to ask if our order was ready for pickup. The workers in the back talking and laughing instead of attending to the multiple people sitting in the lobby waiting for over one hour waiting on their food. I ordered the 4 wing mild combo. The chicken is made to order and was piping hot. This location you can eat in, but no bathrooms available. It wasn't crowded, but there was a constant flow of customers picking up and placing orders. Daily specials are available and the menu had a variety of options from chicken to fish. The mild sauce was on the sweet and sticky side, drizzled on the chicken and fries. Just the right amount on the chicken, but it made for soggy fries. The chicken was seasoned and I'd definitely order again but maybe try the hot sauce or fish the next time I visit. read more

They gave me one price over phone, then it switched when i picked it up. Then i requested mild sauce on the side for the wings. Instead of the 4 ounce styrofoam container appropriate for thst amount of wings. They give me 3 coleslaw cup size sauces. I called when i got home. The guy says, " aw, you want more sauce love? " i just said, dont worry about it.". Then i notice, the fries are also in a smaller size than the pan i requested, that he showed me. No bread with order. But, again the chicken was good. Ghetto fabulous as hell in Matteson. Do better my people. Then you complain when we dont support our own. But, our biggest problem is customer service to our own. Having a good product is not enough. Why call in an order? I just waited in the store more than 30 minutes, after receiving a wait time of 20 minutes when I called it in. I really hate when I get the wrong food. I ordered 6 wings and got gizzards. When I called I asked for my order to be repeated and the person on the phone said the right order. I placed an order over the phone. My husband pick the order up. As I was serving my family, I noticed the order was short wings. I called the Matteson location, informed the young man that we did not live close & that we were short wings in the order that had been paid for. He informed me there was nothing he could do. Then he said if you bring the order back he could look at it. Again I reminded him that we did not live close. He then hung up on me. I called back three different times and he hung up three each time. This is the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. My expectation was that he/they apologize & with my receipt allow me to pick up the missing food at a later convenient date. I will never patronize this location again.
