I first met the real estate agent Dobos last year, and we stayed in contact in case we decide to purchase a home in the future. The agency hosted several seminars, which we attended to gain more information and insight into the homebuying process. In April of this year, we reconnected and began touring houses that met our needs. We visited many properties in search of the right one. Throughout the process, our agent Dobos and the team were consistently supportive and attentive to our needs. I feel compelled to warn others: do your research, ask tough questions, and don't let Leian Harosky pressure you into a deal that doesn't feel right. Lein preys on military families and newcomers to Hawaii. I narrowly avoided being manipulated into an overpriced home purchase by Leian, who presented herself as a military relocation expert but was really focused on securing a quick commission. The seller of the home I was interested in was also her client, which I later discovered was a serious conflict of interest. She claimed she would "get us a deal" a statement that turned out to be completely false. She also tried to pressured us to submit an offer above asking price, insisting it was the smartest choice. Thankfully, my financial knowledge and due diligence raised red flags. When I calculated the numbers and reviewed her compensation structure, her intentions became clear. I then checked reviews for her company and uncovered troubling patterns of similar behavior. It's deeply alarming that she has access to military personnel through community events, positioning herself as a trusted advocate for service members and their families. In reality, her priority appears to be exploiting that trust for her own financial gain. read more

I just want to start by expressing how wonderful Harosky Homes has been to my fiancé and I. When I walked into the office, I was incredibly nervous to start this new journey. I wasn't even sure if I would be able to do it. However, I was greeted with such positivity that it made me feel welcomed and supported. Both my fiancé and I were in the military at the time, and it was extremely difficult to get away from work to complete all the necessary paperwork and visit houses. However, Leian made all our worries go away and worked with our schedule. When we finally found our dream home, Leian went above and beyond for us. She even put down part of her commission and gave us a beautiful gift basket, making the day extra special. I definitely recommend Harosky Homes! It was an experience I will never forget! read more

We met Leian Harosky through a military referral. We attended one of her breakfast educational seminars then she insisted on a meeting at her office. When we met there we mentioned how the housing prices and rates were going up. Leian's response lead us to believe that she would be a shark to get us a good deal. She talked about all her creative ways to make deals go through and even said she would give up 1% commission if we really liked the house. She emphasized how she was excited and passionate about real estate. So we hired her, making one of the biggest financial mistakes of our lives. Leian showed us 2 houses then she had her associate, Johanna Lee, showing us houses. Leian and Johanna made several big real estate mistakes. Johanna was very unresponsive, taking hours if not days to respond. She often appeared to be confused and inexperienced. She tried to get us to look at a house, saying it was a good deal because you get 2 houses. We had to point out that it's 1 piece of land that 2 houses were built on and are being sold separate and posted as 2 separate MLS. Once we found a house to put an offer on, it took them 3 days to write the offer. They checked off a box for the buyer to pay for something the seller usually pays for. They also didn't follow through on giving up 1% commission nor did she do anything "creative". The deal did not go through. We were forced to purchase a new build because they were not in any way sharks who could think of creative ways to get us a house. We were called by Gentry homes and started the process. We were concerned with a document we needed for escrow but Leian's response was don't worry about it, we can get that for you. Later after we opened escrow, when asked for the document, Leian's response was that they in fact could not get it. We could've fallen out of escrow and lost our earnest money. We had to figure out on our own how to get the document. Thankfully we were able to figure it out ourselves. At the signing, Johanna Lee showed up late, bearing a small gift basket & a $50 gift card. Keeping in mind the total commission received by Harosky Homes, the client appreciation gift Johanna gave was not in alignment with how real estate is done in Hawaii.  As a comparison, my neighbors who moved in the same day were greeted by their realtor who lined their driveway with balloons & gifted them $1,000. Those in real estate know that the real reason for the appreciation gift is in hopes of future referrals not only from the seller/buyer, but their families, friends, co-workers, etc. As for Johanna, the final signing event was the last we saw of her.  She text & said she could not make it the day we moved in & that was the last communication with her. SHE TOOK THE COMMISSION MONEY AND DISAPPEARED. After we complained to Leian, she acknowledged that Johanna's behavior was unacceptable & supposedly talked to her staff. Leian promised us she would stop by with her own client appreciation gift. What ensued thereafter is frustrating, infuriating & more unprofessional behavior. It's been 6 months since we moved into this house. Leian has changed her story now to say that her appreciation gift is not ever money, but a personal gift she orders. She also claims that her clients should be the ones to take her out for dinner to show their appreciation for her hard work. I've never heard that one before. Isn't the commission she received (but not necessarily earned) more than enough? I've been trying various ways to cordially contact Leian to make arrangements for her to visit as she promised, but to no avail as she has given one excuse after another. Once Leian realized that there would be no future referrals from us as well as everyone we know, she text me insinuating & rude comments, stop answering my calls, and blocked my number.  This experience will forever be one of the biggest & most painful financial mistakes of my life. Even if you find Leian and Johanna through work colleagues or friends, the people who recommended them cannot get you your money back. I am now stuck with this harsh lesson and have definitely learned from it. I hope this message will prevent others from making the same mistake. read more

Over 3 months went by and a random realtor called us from her team saying "oh I thought you were the family approved for xxxxxx" . we said nope, not us. She said she would look for things in our budget. And then never heard another word from anyone lol. I don't recommend this team sadly. read more

Could tell all she cared about was the transaction and didn't make sure everyone involved was okay. I recently had the opportunity to work with Leian and her team, and the amount of care we received was outstanding! A little background, I arrived on the island and started looking for somewhere to buy, I reached out to a few brokerages and all of them just cared about putting me in a house that was maxed at my pre-approval amount. Almost as if they were just hunting the commission payout, eventually I heard Leian speak at a VA education class and I was hooked. She reassured me that I would only pay for what i could afford in terms of BAH. So she did just that, we looked at homes that were below my max and affordable in OCEANPOINTE (Beautiful Communites) eventually i found my home ! there were a few hiccups on the transaction from the other side but leian was swift to react! She even went as far as giving up a portion of her own commission to assist! That is NEXT LEVEL CARE! After closing we were welcomed with a huge fruit basket and a gift card! Harosky homes provides a truly unprofessional and unethical treatment of its clients. Poor communication combined with flat out lies and manipulation unearth the real face of this group. This firm epically failed to handle the most simplest basic standard rule of real estate. Which is don't allow your client to accept purchase of their own property before they are pre-approved by a reputable lender to purchase another one. When a simple buyer's contingency was diplomatically agreed upon face to face by both the broker and agent it was still failed upon to be included it in the contract. Done by ineptitude or for their own personal welfare, either way is unacceptable, unethical, disrespectful and downright insulting to any client. A purchase contract was handed down for signature with an immediate strict same day timeline on it with absolutely no explanation as to what was being signed signed whatsoever, This contract as unfortunately later was found out, failed to contain the contingency clause as initially agreed upon by both parties. This negligence left me in a very unfavorable position to say the least...the sale of my property had begun but now had no place to go. This firm egregiously failed to hold up to its claim of putting the client's best interest first and foremost and instead were solely concerned and focused on the greed of their dual commission sale. Reprehensible in every sense. Afterwards they tried to manipulate me into moving to a temporary housing unit owned by another colleague of the firm and pay them rent until they could find a unit I would accept and be pre-approved for. My decline of this pushed upon offer was finally abrasively accepted after numerous back and forth disagreements in which they kept reiterating I may endure legal ramifications should the prospected buyer choose to pursue against me because of breach of contract. In the end zero apologies were ever offered for the enormous amount of unnecessary stress the situation had put me through, that and after they were all knowingly well aware I had just been released after having surgery. Forced to hire an attorney to protect myself against any said legal action, and offering to reconcile and move forward with no hard feelings, the firm has chosen to ignore all communications from me respectfully requesting reimbursement of attorney fees which I sought to recover for their disastrous incompetence. This level of immaturity clearly displays a complete utter lack of respect and any professionalism whatsoever. This brokerage firm is a constant turnover of employees who are nothing more than a glorified group of unprofessional and unethical salespeople who will lure you in with its sweet talk and attractiveness. But make no mistake, they do not care one sliver about what's best for you, only their own commission and achievement. read more
