Myself and people at my office have tried a variety of flavors of their coffee and just do not find it to have good taste. This is based off a feedback from a number of members of the coffee clubs that makes the majority of its coffee via pour over. The group actually follows as best it can the SCA Process as well. Note that the groups has made coffee from many companies as well as small local places that acquire and roast their own beans. This brand is generally considered average at best with many below average. This company is political and the feedback comes from some that align with the views and some that do not, but bias was managed in both directions. Overall there are better choices. This review is specific to the coffee it produces and puts on the shelf or sells in its cafes. read more

I couldn't have been more excited to finally visit the brick and mortar Black Rifle! It did not disappoint. The decor and space was so cool. Awesome military decals on the walls, first responder patches and challenge coins and so many cool well thought out details. There was an amazing merch and coffee / energy drink selection. Large menu with appropriately named drinks and categories. 10% first responder/military discount and delicious drinks (we didn't try food). I highly recommend. While on vacation, I was exploring and saw BRCC. We had heard about this coffee before but never been to one of their shops. I ordered the Iced Liberty. It was absolutely amazing. The flavor of the coffee was delicious, and the drink overall was rich and velvety. They also had food options available, including breakfast sandwiches. Everyone there was friendly and patient as we asked about which beverages were good. They also had tons of coffee, mugs, and shirts for sale. It was a nice environment, where you could chat with a friend or get work done (two people had laptops set up). Plenty of seating available, plus a drive through. We tried the drive through out the next day. Quick and easy. Pricing was comparable to most coffee places, but the quality was so much better! Wish they would open one up in Central Houston. I didn't know Black Rifle even had storefronts- when I saw this while browsing Google maps while my husband browsed at Smoky Mountain Knife Works (15 minutes away if you're into that sort of thing), I knew we had to stop by. Now, if you've heard of the brand, you know their schtick, they're heavily military/ patriotism coded. I'm saying that as a neutral statement, make your own opinions. That notwithstanding, I was here for coffee. I got something on the specials board, I believe a cold brew peanut butter mocha sort of thing. I don't know, it was good. Prices about the same as other coffee places. They also have lots of merch and gift type items, so if you or someone you know is a Black Rifle fan, you'll see some stuff you won't find elsewhere if there's no storefront by you. Location was super easy to get too. The store was really clean and had plenty of seating. I ordered a pumpkin spiced latte, and a chicken burrito. While I absolutely love what they stand for and what they do for those that have served and currently serve however I was not a fan of my coffee. I got the pumpkin iced latte and it was overpowering with bitter spice and floral notes and would definitely not try again. Hubby got the jet fuel and it wasn't what he was expecting it's supposed to be the strongest coffee and it lacked coffee flavor. It was more like a flat white from Starbucks.
