Arrived at 4:40pm sat down at high top table waited 15 mins for a server to arrive - took our drink order Server was Rebeccs - not certain where the drinks came from 2 waters a beer and a wine but took 15 mins for the drink arrival Two different menus my was obsolete no worries just ordering a burger - ordered medium burger my wife medium rare both burgers arrived in a half hour and over cooked Did not want to send back as we wanted get home before midnight- ate what we could then left - never to return- too many great burger restaurants in town that have it right - tried Harpers but not a good venue read more

Love this place. Pizzas and tacos are very good and the Thai Brussels are delicious! They also do a generous wine pour!

So happy to have a new place and not the Diner food. Has a lot to choose from. Killer Nachos. Starting out I only hope it continues with the good comments. Just not right if it didn't work for you to shoot anyone's business down. Go see for yourself we have 2 times already and so far good both times and will be back. I'm glad to see a new restaurant here and hope it does well. The decor is very nice and fits the mood of the tavern. All of the choices on the menu looked nice. I had Katy'a burger, which came out well, when I asked for medium rare, but still tasted amazing, I would definitely order it again. Love this place!! Sat in the bar area and loved the charm of the old barn doors and all the charming/rustic accents. Service was slow but friendly. We had a bigger crowd, ordered appetizers and burgers and everything was really great! One huge pretzel -hot and the right amount of softness. Cheese was runny but still good. Nachos were great too!! Have to say the burger was excellent...One of the best I've had in a long time. Friend got the Rueben and said it was great. Another tried the PB&J burger and loved it. The restaurant was good but their customer service is horrendous. I paid for a special event ticket for a drive-in movie back in March of this year. It had to be rescheduled a few time for weather, etc, which is completely understandable. They offered a refund or wait for th reschedule date. That never happened. I reached out to the event site I bought the tickets but because it had been so long (due to reschedules) they said contact the restaurant, I have emailed, called, commented on FB post about the original event and no one gets back to me. I have been coming to Harper's Table since they opened, and both the food and service has dropped exponentially. My most recent experience was eating with a party of people outdoors. Our group wanted split checks but the waitress said their system can only handle 3 or 4 split checks. She looked frustrated but still went around splitting our checks. I felt bad so I increased my tip to over 20% since she was going up and down the stairs. Then the manager comes out and started yelling (yes, yelling and lecturing) at our group saying we should have stated our party so the waitress can get automatically get a 20% tip. We apologized but because this lady was yelling at our group even though we did nothing wrong, I told her that her lecturing was hurting the waitress's tips and everyone around her (other customers). I raised my voice because a manager should not treat their customers in such a manner, especially if they apologized and were going to give even higher tips. Clearly, the waitress complained to the manager and the manager handled it in an extremely poor manner. She had the audacity to then scoff at us as she left and asked what company we were from. I can safely tell her, it doesn't matter because she just lost 12 customers permanently. The others reviews regarding poor food and poor service were on point. AVOID, go to Galasso's in Lebanon instead. Anything is better than the formerly 'good' Harper's Table. TL;DR Manager yelled at group even though we apologized and did nothing wrong. read more

Was a bit busy for a thurs night crowd. I love the new, unorthodox yet delicious burger selections. The patty melt burger was to die for. Good beer list and prices. Wife had Greek chicken salad -- she really liked it. Kids' burgers also looked good. Service was great. Cameron was a fantastic server and Andrew was very funny and always happy. Can I give zero stars? We live very close to Harpers Table which is the only reason we tried it several times. They were very consistent every time. -Exceeding poor wait staff -Very low quality food After visiting the restaurant the first time and having an exceeding bad experience, I checked the reviews and saw so many positives that I decided to try the place again. Waiting some time in between, I went back two more times just hoping that my bad experiences were the odd one. Would have liked to give this place a try but after going, being told a 30 min wait, waiting an hour, then being told we were third on the list, we decided to leave. It seemed there was no end in sight. They were giving out tables to people with reservations, which they only allow for parties of 5 or more. If that's all you allow, the other people will never get to sit. Accurate time estimates are essential to running a restaurant. We checked the menu while we waited, it was nothing spectacular. Tonight was our first night visiting this establishment. Friends of ours had recommended it and we finally had a chance to go. We were not disappointed. I gave Harper's Table a try and visited at least ten times. I've come to find that the only thing going for the place is the beer list and the fact that it had a face lift. I found the Beet Reuben, Harpers Burger and Fried p Pickles to be flavorless and disappointing. When I asked the server for details about the fried pickles (specifically what type of breading) their reply was "I dunno, I think they're just bought frozen in a bag". Portion was huge and wayyy salty, but for $11 (almost double the price as ones down the street) I expect something better than out of a Sysco bag in the freezer. I've heard that they have went through quite a few chefs already and it shows. I imagine it's hard to hit your stride when the leader keeps changing. In spite of this I was a semi regular for a few months because of a ridiculously nice and attentive bartender. But it appears as she too is now gone so I think I'll park myself back at another run of the mill Hunterdon County watering hole until someone finally gets it right out here. read more

This fun, family friendly establishment is a welcome addition to the area! I have eaten in the restaurant, the bar area and even ordered take out. The portions are generous, prices very fair, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The food is a mix of traditional bar fare (burgers, wings, nachos, etc.) with a few more interesting items too! Harper's Table also offers a variety of entertainment during the week and on the weekend. Note that they are closed on Tuesdays. I wish I could give this place 6 stars. Absolutely gorgeous and cozy. We were seated quickly and with the warmest welcome. Our cocktails were awesome. The waitress was friendly and so efficient. The food. Absolutely amazing!! The Brussel sprouts were the best I've ever had. My meat loving husband ate almost all of them! All of our food was great, and our service was incredible. We went on a Saturday night and had an incredibly attentive and friendly waitress. Showed us a half hour earlier than our reservation and they seated us immediately. I had a spicy margarita and it was delicious, my husband has the vanilla Porter and loved it. This place seems like it would be fun if you were going to get a drink and hang out with friends. Classic bar-type food, and they seem to have a lot of events. If you are going for the food, it is fine, but not exciting. The bar appears to be extensive with a lot of options and a lot of space to hang out. After the long wait I was expecting much more! The remodel was barely noticeable, the food nothing more than any other local bar fare.

My entree was excellent, cedar plank salmon with asparagus. So was my sweet potato soup to start things off. Craft beer list on tap was very good, I had Troegs Nugget Nectar so I give the list a 10 the day I visited. Rest rooms were slightly refreshed but looks like mainly a carryover from prior barbecue restaurant which closed up years ago. All of the staff were very friendly. First time coming here. The food is great. The service phenomenal. Got the animal burger, I could only finish half because for me it was a lot to eat but I'm a small person. I also got the st.
