Heard about the blackened Tuna sandwich from a friend. Stopped here for takeout. 2 sandwiches, one rare, one medium. Great sandwich flavor, fresh bun, good sweet potato fries. His endorsement of the food was spot on. Bartender was helpful, provided suggestions, and food was ready quickly. Definitely be back for this again! read more

Came here the afternoon of the 4th of July. Maybe it was a busy time, but the service wasn't great. It was very hot inside and it took quite awhile to even get asked what we wanted to eat. Once the food came out which surprisingly didn't take long, I couldn't eat it because we didn't have silverware or even napkins. Not sure if I'd return. read more

Ben, our server, let us in just before opening time and was incredibly welcoming, super attentive, and had an overall upbeat personality! The strawberry margarita was made with fresh strawberry puree and my hubby really enjoyed the Riverwest Stein amber lager. The blackened tuna sandwich was really good, but the brisket was a tad dry. The service was great and the view was wonderful! And even though it was rainy and chilly out, we were nice and warm on the screened porch with the heaters and fire pit going. Worst experience I ever had at a restaurant. Took forever to get the food, and they weren't even busy. When we received the food, two of the meals were cold, meat and soup looked like they had been sitting for a while will other dishes, on our order, were being made. Returned the cold food and it took almost twenty minutes to get one of the cold meals back. The second meal was going on almost forty minutes and we had to leave and take the meal to go. However, runs their kitchen should be either retrained on how to timely serve food or let go. I worked as a cook, and this was trouble experience, and I will never return. read more

We really like this place. The food is good and the drinks are excellent. We meet my wife's brother and his wife there every month or two. It is about midway between us. We highly recommend Harpoon Willy's. read more

Four o us were there for dinner tonight. The food was just okay. The ridiculous part was that they charged $11:50 for a Tito's gimlet. Nobody else charges that crazy price. The owner is trying to retire early. We will never be back! read more

my husband and I went there on date night for dinner. But we left after appetizers. We enjoyed their old fashions and the calamari, but when the chips and guacamole came out, the guacamole was brown in many places. Gross. Went to Harpoons recently for dinner. This has been a go to place for us over the years with consistently good food, atmosphere and service. Atmosphere and service are still great, food not so much. The apps (onion rings and curds) were undersized, if that makes sense, and the portions were very small. The pizzas were a bigger disappointment. Overcooked and served luke warm, with almost no discernible cheese and a sauce that tasted like tomato paste taken straight out of the can and smeared on the crust. Harpoons, and later Privato (sister restaurant at one time across the street) had by far the best pizza in the lakes area. I'm hoping they just had an off night, we will try again. This my 2nd time to Harpoon Willies in Williams Bay. The 1st time was with my mother-in- law This time I'm took my Mom . It's located 7 miles west of Lake Geneva . It's worth the 10 minute drive for the food & you don't have to pay the outrageous prices of Lake Geneva! The place is very casual. They have a bar area where you can watch a game. However if you are lucky enough ,try to get to a table at the back of the restaurant. There's beautiful views of Geneva Lake & It's also much quieter. Mom ordered the 1/2 Geneva Street burger(burger with grilled onions bacon & aside of chipotle sauce & I ordered the mushroom burger For $10 burgers its one of the better ones I ever had. The bread is so fresh and the meat was cooked to protection & very moist & flavorful. I love portabello mushrooms, mine were very meaty. We also ordered a cup of the tortilla soup. VERY CHHESY and a bit salty but still good The staff was very nice & attentive. read more

Delicious and fast! Went there on the Saturday before Christmas Eve expecting a huge wait for a table or slow service. Nope! Was seated right away around 7 pm and served immediately. In fact, the appetizers came out so fast, the waitress had just finished taking our order that included the appetizers! The mixed drinks were a little pricy, but top notch. We got burgers, chicken sandwich, fish tacos, portabella mushroom sandwich and pizza for the table. OMG! The pizza was the star! Thin and crispy, not burned at all, and so flavorful. Best pizza I've had in quite awhile. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, everything was amazing. Will definitely eat there again. Saw several items I'd like to try next visit. The only way this establishment is still in business Because 1st time travelers. No owner on premises server has never seen them. Not greeted when walked in. Looking for someone. Servers eating at a table at 5.30. Terrible service. Burger raw and waffle fries double grease cold. I had a salad with brown lettuce and transparent soggy missing tomatoes and salad dressing. Who serves a meal missing ingredients. Others around us having issues also. Skip this establishment. read more

Drove in to see the World Tallest Christmas Tree at the Observatory but went here to eat first. The waitress was very sweet and helpful. Service was pretty good, appetizer of onion rings came quickly. They were delicious and crispy! The food took a bit long but Broasted Chicken always does. It too was delicious and crispy. I noticed Bloody Mary's on the Cocktail list but was Guided away from the Willies Bloody when I was asked if I like my drink spicy. Apparently the Willlie's Chili Infused Vodka is quite spicy so I just ordered Tito's and got a regular Bloody with Olive, Pickle, Cheese, and Sausage pieces. Yum! The desert menu was beyond what we could eat so we admired the choices but did not partake, I have half my chicken left for lunch today. I can't wait! read more

Great food! I'm not a huge Salad person but I got the Willy Salad. It was mixed greens, cheese, walnuts, onions, tomatoes and raisins. So good, also got garlic Parm wings that were to die for. Sangria was absolutely delicious! read more

This is not the normal experience. I usually have a great time here but this was quite possibly the worst restaurant trip I've ever had. Got seated very quickly, server took 5-10 minutes to greet us. Took us another 10 minutes to get our drinks. Had to wait an hour before I had to ask to order an appetizer. Had to tell the server we were ready to order. Food took about 20 minutes. Not a bad wait for food, but it wasn't too busy. My friend is very allergic to tomatoes and asked for no tomatoes. (Upon receiving the bill, it was clear the server did put in the request). However, it came out with tomatoes. Took about 10 minutes for the server to check in and I asked for a fresh sandwich as he couldn't touch anything on the plate. I made it very clear that he couldn't get any of the same food out. In 2 minutes he had another plate. The sandwich and fries were warm, not hot. The bun had the same features and char marks that the previous bun had. I do believe the server believed it was a fresh sandwich. Our drinks which were supposedly doubles didn't taste to be on that caliber. Upon receiving the bill, we requested clarification and a manager was sent over. I told the manager about how the same sandwich was used and was completely unable to be eaten by my friend. He told me the normal chef was across the street for an event and this wouldn't fly under normal circumstances. He took our bill and walked away. Having worked in the industry for almost 9 years myself, I don't like to complain, I understand some things just happen. However there was absolutely no kind of discount or apology offered besides a dessert; which we were not in the mood for after our appetite was ruined. Loved the screened- in porch with lake view! Some other places were too crowded so we drove out of town and found Harpoon Willie's! Salmon salad and pork chops were delicious, great cheese curds too! Beer, of course, was cold and flowing! Limited menu during these times but good selection and good prices!! read more

I were at Harpoon Willie's with my wife, our son and his wife and our two grandchildren age 8 and 4. We ordered one appetizers, two pizzas and a chicken sandwich. We go the appetizers quickly and the pizzas came short after. When were finishing the pizza, and 25 minutes or more after we first ordered we still had not received the chicken sandwich. I told the waitress to forget about the sandwich since we were already to leave. The lead waiter came up to me and explained that sandwiches take longer to make than the pizza and that this is outlined on the menu. I tried to explain that we had to wait far to long for the sandwich and that we didn't want it. He said that he would have to through out the sandwich if we didn't take it. I got the feeling from our conversation that he was offering to remove the charge for the sandwich from our bill and for me to take the sandwich home. My son paid the bill and we left. I left the sandwich at the restaurant. I found out later from son that the lead waiter charged us for this sandwich. In addition to all this the waiter added a mandatory 20% tip to our bill because we were six people. This locations counts children when determining the number of guess at a table. Our waitress was vey nice and apologized for what took place. read more

Waitress went to check if they had something for us and didn't return for 30 minutes. Waitress came back to table only one other time. We were there for over 90 minutes due to slow kitchen. Wrong food delivered. One person did not receive food until all others had finished. Up charged for fries and given about 7 total fries. Charged $9 for chips and guac...received 12 chips. Howdy-do, Yelpers! I'm back with another review of a decent place to stop in at for a drink, a bite to eat and for some beautiful views of Lake Geneva. On one side, you've got the dive bar with wood tables and high top booths and in another room you've got more of a sit-down restaurant. This review is for the dive bar side, which is really cool. There's tons of antiques to look at and beautiful views. It's a fun place to hang with a decent service staff that does their best to accommodate. I really like that because sometimes I feel like eating what I want to eat and this was one of those days! Here's the story: Last night I was staying at a resort in Fontana. My mom and step-father ordered Nachos that we're mediocre at best. Nothing really to speak of. So, today, my mom wanted to take me to this place for a drik and an appetizer before we went to dinner later on in the evening. The menu was awesome! Harpoon's got a little for everyone to be satisfied. Pizza, salads, burgers, fish, sandwiches, barbecue and nachos and more! After trying one nacho last night I really wanted to attempt Harpoon's nachos, BUT, I also wanted to try their Brisket! So... I decided to ask for the Nachos AND have a side of Brisket added into the Nacho dish!!! I wanted the brisket to be mixed in with the chili and other ingredients so the cheese would melt in with it. At first, I guess the chef - who I found out can be somewhat stuck in his ways - refused to mix the brisket into the dish like I had wanted. But, when the Nachos came to the table, he ended up making it the way I had wanted! I was SO surprised and SUPER pleased!!! OMG!!! This was one of the BEST nacho plates I have had in YEARS!!!!! It had Chili, Shreaded Cheese, lettuce, tomato, salsa, jalapenos and sour cream. AND of course, the homemade, Brisket. The Brisket add on was an additional $5.00 And IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! The only other place I have found that was better was a place I managed in Los Angeles called Islands Fine Burgers and Drinks. The beer selection was terrific as well with a variety of bottled and local/Wisconsin brews and they have a variety of liquor as well. I even noticed the popcorn machine off in the corner for those who want to mosey up to the bar and chill for a bit and not order off the menu. If you're ever in the Lake Geneva area, stop in this cool spot. Make sure to try the Nachos AND make sure to ADD ON THE BRISKET!!! Your tummy will thank you for sure!!!!! Stopped by to try the Bloody Marys and have an appetizer or two. Great Bloodies with wonderful selection of apps. The ambiance is great and the service, especially Ben, is outstanding. Hurts to do this but my god has this place fallen apart. As a local I want to support them but can't anymore. Not coming back until ownership or something changes. We have not had an order right in months (6 of 8 were wrong on NYD 2023) and no signs of improvement. Nice that they added a crazy Qanon spouting bartender to add to their failures. Don't go. Been here a few times because we just bought a house in the area. There is a bar area with tables and a screen in outdoor room. The atmosphere is casual. The screen room is nice because there are fire tables you can sit at. The food is good. Clam strips, nachos were delicious. Not a fan of the brisket... no BBQ sauce. The pizza is crispy and cheesy. We really like the casual atmosphere and vibe. It is across from the park, which is nice. If you have small children, they can burn some energy at the park before dinner. read more

Totally has screwed up in the past few years. This was our "go to" it is now Mars Resort. After they stupidly took out the pool table they removed not only pizza but BRATS? From a Wisconsin menu. The food now all tastes like something deep fried. It was our favorite place in the bay and it now stinks. So sad, as they have the best screened in porch. It's not like you walk into Harpoon Willie's, look around and expect a gourmet experience. It looks like a bar with bar food, and that's what you get, bar food at a bar. I ordered my salad with "raisins on the side," They ALSO put them in my salad, sigh. The popcorn chicken was so hard, it was almost impossible to stab with a knife. Stopped in during a motorcycle ride on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. They had a shortened menu for the riders. The food was cold and not very good. Classic bar with very good food. Not the typical "bar" food. You'll enjoy high quality food at very reasonable prices. Willies salad with tuna is exceptional. Every burger combination is excellent. They share a kitchen with Cafe Calimari so it's top notch cooking. Better than any other Williams Bay place. read more

Nice chicken sandwich, pretty view from the screened patio of the bay across the street. Friendly service, reasonable prices, relaxed and slow atmosphere. For my first out-of-town meal in this, my first pandemic-era vacation, it went pretty well. Harpoon Willie's has a very cute atmosphere and a large menu. If you stick with a burger, you will be happy. I ordered a portobello mushroom that was pretty terrible. The outside of the mushroom was deep fried and soggy. The inside was raw. It was served on a plate of marinara sauce. The marinara sauce was good. The mushroom was not. The kitchen seems to get overwhelmed if busy (and it was July 4th weekend!) The Chicago style deep dish pizza isn't great by Chicago standards but it is the best we have had in the area. read more
