She says it's drinkable and she liked it. Good enough! They give you generous portions of food. The bacon was cooked crispy the way she likes it and the eggs were done perfectly. Hashbrowns taste fresh and good and never cooked perfectly. They under utilize salt, but there's probably a good reason for it and that's why you have salt at the table. The skillet I had, however, was real good! Generous portions of brisket and the sweet potatoes were cut strips and grilled and tender. It had chunks of green peppers which were grilled and you could tell they were fresh. Fresh grilled onions and chunks of tomatoes inside. It was loaded with cheese too. My eggs were done to perfection and I had the sourdough toast. Their sourdough toast is Home made style bread. I don't believe it's baked in the restaurant, but it was very good. Once again, very generous portions. The place is huge inside with plenty of elbow room. As for the price, their prices were average and in line with other places we've eaten breakfast in the area. The whole staff that is there greeted you at one point or the other. Very friendly staff. They are also open for lunch and dinner. I went with my MIL, husband and 3 Y.O. and the owner, or manager (short gray hair) was there and she was AWFUL, and super RUDE. First off she was yelling across the cafe at one of the waitress's... like scolding her in front of all the customers, and other staff so much that it became very uncomfortable-I would compare it to an episode of Jerry Springer... While she was yelling at the woman, she was also swearing (remember I mentioned before I had my 3 YO daughter with me...) yup screaming cuss words across the building in front of my kid. Then she comes up to us right as our food arrives, and without asking any adult she gives my kid some Easter chocolate. Didn't ask-nope candy straight to the kid-who we are begging just to eat some of her lunch. Here is the kicker of the story-yup, the worst part. Some of the spring mix on my wrap was rotten (black, tasted rotten) so I told the waitress, "hey this is rotten, you might want to tell your cooks to toss it out". So then the owner and the waitress leaf through my half eaten meal like the FBI, inspecting my claim. They had the nerve to tell me it was the dark lettuce part of the spring mix, and it got wilted during cooking. No. I know what spring mix looks like rotten, and not rotten, this was rotten. It was a mistake. No big. Own up to it. Nope they proceed to argue with me, tell me I was wrong, the owner even brought out all the lettuce to show me how some of it is dark purple!!! W. T. H? Seriously, I have never been treated SO disrespectfully in a restaurant in all my life. The food was ok, the pie was good, but we will NEVER go back after that. Delicious food. Only accepts cash. The atmosphere is the only thing I didn't like. There are stuffed animals and children's drawings all over the restaurant. It felt like a kids playroom. They were definitely going for a family friendly feeling, but those not with families or kids in general, I think it felt creepy. Food is sub-par for the price. Employees are rude especially when there are more patrons. Igloo not sure what is going on with that. The establishment needs to increase seating, is very cramped inside. Parking lot is small we had to park on street and the house next door allowed their kids to throw rocks at some of the cars. Not sure if we will stop back anytime soon. read more
