That's reason enough to bring him your most troubling automotive puzzles. But if that's no enough for you, I can personally attest to this man truly being a genuinely caring individual who actually wants to help his customers. Raffy will solve your vehicle problems in a way that will make you feel very glad you met him, and really smart you chose his shop out of the dozen or so good ones in Iowa City. He's completely honest and open about your issues and what it will take to fix them, and the price he will charge you is verifiably fair. He works fast, his repairs are accurate, and if you're a DIY'er who normally does your own work, he will take the time to educate you and show you what you missed, and how to do it better the next time. And on top of all that, Raffy is seriously a nice man who will treat you with kindness and respect, while doing his very best to get you back on the road. I would highly recommend you make his shop your first and only choice for any and all automotive repairs, whether you live in Iowa City Iowa, Fort Worth Texas, or anywhere else in between. Thank you So Much Raffy!

Police intervention was required…read more I had an extremely upsetting experience at #1 Auto Repair while traveling from out of town with my 9-year-old son. I got a flat tire and went to the nearest repair shop, as I have run-flat tires. After agreeing to a price for four tires, I left the shop and spoke with family, who thought the price seemed very high. I later contacted two other area businesses, and they quoted $800 less for the same tires and a fully completed job. When I asked the owner, Raffy, if I had been accidentally charged for the wrong tires, he shouted, used profanity in front of my child, called me "you people," and threatened that he knew where I lived. My son was traumatized -- he had never seen anyone speak to me like that. He also refused to release my car unless I paid in cash, despite advertising credit cards, Venmo, and other payment options, so I had to call the police. I was initially refunded the full amount by my credit card company after questioning the fees. However, I ended up paying the shop directly because of a small claims dispute. In court, it was confirmed that the hazardous materials and shop supply fees he charged were not actually used or standard practice, and he had to refund those fees to me. Many other reviews report similar behavior overcharging, shouting, and blaming the customer.

I tried a couple of different cables that I had on hand and none of them worked. So I took it into the dealership and asked them to look into it. They came back with a recommendation to replace the entire radio for about $2500. I've always suspected these guys to be a little fishy with their service department, their quotes come in unusually high and always recommend extra work that isn't necessary. I purchased a $15 USB cable that was rated for charging as well as data transmission and what do you know, it started working! I would imagine a dealership has high-quality USB cables when testing their automobiles and this would be a standard part of the diagnostic procedure. Pretty shady and unethical treatment of customers

Within 24 hrs of driving it home we discovered the light assembly was broken. Pretty straight forward , Right ? Take it back, get it fixed and move on. Instead of them owning up to it ,the dealership flat out said it's not their problem . They gaslit us , blamed us for the damage that was clearly there when my son bought the car and treated us like we were the problem . The whole thing has been a nightmare of runarounds , excuses ,and delays .It has now been 3 WEEKS and still trying to get this resolved 3 WEEKS of my time , my patience and energy drained because they refuse to take responsibility for selling us a vehicle that wasn't in the condition they had promised. Save yourself the headache. Save your money. Save your time .Go literally anywhere else .A dealership that won't stand behind the cars it sells - and then has the audacity to blame the customer -does not deserve your business ! Will update if this ever gets resolved , but I am not holding my breath .

You'd think an oil change these days wouldn't take that much shopping around, but from the deceiptful advertising starting at $20 to $60, then when I'd talk to a real person, which ended up me being taken hostage by the script of BS they'd read to you, and right before you fall asleep I wake up with a three digit quote. I had had it after Firestone had done that to me and it was 3 in the afternoon. I started my day doing only to find a place I could afford and trusted. My late mom's voice in my head, the whole time, repeating, take it to the dealership. So I did, thinking that they would be the most expensive of all. I WAS WRONG. I walked in, thinking the worst. In walks Blake. I told him all that I'd went through, and HE LISTENED. He took less than 5 minutes to quote me around $70 and asked me if I could come back at 3 that day. I'm sixty one, but I felt like 16 and wanted to jump, but didn't. LOL I would have broke a hip or something. Anywayz, I finally got my oil change, and all the extra stuff that they do and the invoice at the bottom was $69.75! It took less than an hour and a half and I was out the door. I will be back and if you think that just because it's the dealership, they hike the prices like I did, think again. This family owned franchise is Iowa nice.

It's stressful buying a car and even more so to have to get one repaired but Deery Brothers Ford Lincoln came through for me. I have a Ford Explorer that one day decided it'd continuously tell me my front passenger door was ajar-- even when it was in fact tightly closed. It was sure it was open and let me know that by constantly flashing an annoying icon on my dash. The interior lights seemed to never turn off and it was unable to lock from the inside. Ugh. Making the appointment was easy. I dropped it off and they determined what was needed. I was informed of the cost and the time frame; the part was to be delivered a week later. We waited for a call to let us know when the part was there but after almost two weeks without a call--made it ourself to inquire. It indeed had arrived. The car was ready that day! Easy peasy. (And quite expensive. We were quoted two different prices during this experience. Initially over the phone what we now know to be the price of the part itself. And then again over the phone, after checking out my vehicle, the part with labor with tax. Eek.) The staff was pleasant and location was super convenient. Overall- I'd come here again and most likely will!
