I really enjoy shopping at Harris Teeter. I usually go there to get my daughter's lunch meat for school and camp, and I was so happy when I found out they carry Boar's Head, especially Salsalito turkey and honey turkey since my family loves both. Being from New York, Boar's Head is a staple for us. Their sushi is always fresh and really good, the produce is always fresh, and I like that they have a lot of healthier options like kombucha, smoothies, and plenty of seafood, fruit, and veggie choices. I also love that when I don't feel like making my daughter's sandwich, they can make it exactly how she likes it. The bakery is another favorite of mine for birthday cakes and little treats. The store is always clean, there's plenty of parking, and the staff is consistently sweet, helpful, and friendly every time I go. They also have a great wine selection, a really nice floral department, and even a Starbucks inside, which is super convenient. On top of that, they usually have really good sales, so it's worth checking the weekly flyer or online deals. And don't forget to put your phone number in at checkout so you can get discounts on sale items. read more

I've shopped at this Harris Teeter a lot over the years and they always have what I need. I've grown to love popping in to see what kind of freshly made salads they've got or chicken wings or even sushi! I've tried some of all the above and I've enjoyed it all. Pictured below is a pre-made salad that I bought. It came with tons of topping and a dressing packet. Only complaint is that the dressing was at the bottom of the tightly packed salad container. You pretty much have to switch the salad into another bowl. But it's worth it because it's absolutely fresh and delicious. I also tried the boneless Buffalo chicken wings and was very impressed with the flavor. They were rather hot too! I really wish I had a picture of the sushi because it's never let me down. Usually I go for a tuna or crab roll with the crunchy bits top They have a wonderful selection of craft beer as well. I'm able to find one of my favorite variety packs here no matter the season. It's also very convenient that this HT has self check out! Love that options so that I can bag my own groceries. If anything, you may just have to wait for an attendant to check your ID but they're pretty quick with it. read more

I mainly shop at HT for my wine. I prefer Steelbird by Smoking Loon because it's un-oaked so it tastes clean, not smokey or woody. It's pretty hard to find but HT always has it. Now, before you think I'm snooty and a wine snob, I assure you, I'm not. This wine has a screw top and is usually on sale for only $7.99. I would've bought 12 bottles to get the additional full case discount of 20% but they only had 5 bottles on the shelf. That party foul that would've cost them a star but it was on sale for $6.99 with a VIC card and it's my own fault for trying to buy it the day before Thanksgiving. read more

A-Ok for this particular Harris Teeter on Lawndale in Greensboro. Definitely not the biggest store locally and really I'm not used to the layout. The fresh & hot food is kind of lacking...the Asian Bar was pretty sparse. I think because the store is on the smaller side, everything seems kind of cramped if that makes sense? Especially in the deli and produce sections. I hit the deli counter and both the seafood & meat counters and unfortunately service all around was ok...decent...nothing spectacular. Even at the registers the check out service was just so-so, however a young man who helped bag & organize my items was extremely friendly and helpful. I would not go out of my way to hit up this particular Harris Teeter; I would definitely drive a couple of miles to the one in Friendly Center any day. read more

I went here today to get baby food and there was a complication that took a lot of the cashier's time to help me figure out. The manager who came and helped me was so thorough and kind and patient. Harris Teeter can be proud of their contribution to the spike of COVID in NC. After being concerned about the number of people not wearing masks in the store (and their ability to still check out, putting the other customers and cashiers at risk) I called the corporate number to ask about their policy. All one has to do is say they have a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask and they are allowed to continue shopping in the store without a mask with everyone else. Unlike the Target right next door, HT does not require that customers who don't want to (or can't) wear a mask to use the contactless shopping options. They said it would be a HIPPA violation to ask what the medical condition is (which it is), but failed to mention that it's not a HIPPA violation to ask the customer to use the contactless option and not be in the store with the mask-wearing customers and employees. So if you're one of those people who doesn't want their individual rights stomped on or doesn't believe that COVID is a real thing and you want to walk around stores unmasked, Harris Teeter is the place for you. read more

We moved here from Colorado about a year ago and when I learned that Harris Teeter was owned by Kroger I figured we would have similar experiences to the stores we had back in CO (King Soopers, also owned by Kroger) wow, I have been SO disappointed. My biggest gripe is the produce department at each of the HT's I've been to. I am appalled at how bad the produce is. I have found moldy produce on the shelves for sale. I have wasted so much money on produce that goes bad so quickly, strawberries and raspberries in particular, I will buy strawberries that look great and within 48 hours they are a moldy mess in the refrigerator. The apples are another frustrating thing, if I want to buy enormous, overgrown, tasteless apples I can buy them singly, if I want small apples I am forced to buy a 5lb bag of apples (and no option for small organic ones) where half of the 5lb bag is bruised from sitting in one place probably for a long period of time. I am also really displeased with the very few private label organic items. At King Soopers Kroger had a label called "Simple Truth Organic" and so many products with a name brand option had a Simple Truth Organic versions, here there are a few HT Organics options but not nearly as many. I would usually shop at the Lawndale or North Elm location and I am so tired of wasting money at Harris Teeter and am happy to have finally found Fresh Market. read more

Another solid Harris Teeter store! This location is on Lawndale. Its one of the bigger locations. As usual with most of the Harris Teeters I have visited, it is well stocked and well kept. The layout is a bit different, and the items for sale in each aisle don't always make sense to me, so it might be difficult to find items if you do not pay attention to the signs. However, I really like the deli here a bit more than others given their selection of items. Still, I highly recommend this location. read more

Good, clean store with nice employees. That being said do not ever get fish of any type from any Harris Teeter. We've tried on three different occasions from different stores to get fresh fish only to find it spoiled when we got home. Even tried their frozen cod with the same result. They are good about giving back 2 times purchase but clearly not worth it. read more

I tried the express pickup. They didn't have many of my items so I had to go to Whole Foods to get the food I needed for the week like fresh strawberries and snacks. I got home with my Adkins shakes from Harris Teeter. I drank one day before yesterday drank one got sick. I didn't know that they expired in November 2016 until I went to open it today. Now I need to take the item back for a refund. read more
