The store is always clean. This store is located in a large apartment building with parking below. Only thing I don't like about Publix is that they don't have prices on the app unless they are a sale item. This makes it difficult to plan your shop.

Meat Department I…read morehad two bad experiences yesterday afternoon (8/25) at the Publix (Wendell Falls Parkway) meat department. First I asked of of the 'butchers' to cut a piece of salmon that was sold by the pound in half, and that I wanted to buy only one half. He said he could not of that, but that I could buy one of the pre-cut pieces. The one he suggested had the skin removed and cost $10 per pound more than the one I wanted. I like the skin on and did not want to pay the extra charge. I left without purchasing any salmon. Then I asked another 'butcher' to trim a tenderloin steak and butterfly it for me. I told him that I agreed to pay for the pre-trimmed weight. Well, he really did butcher it. What was left bore no resemblance to a 'steak'. It was ragged (like it had been cut with a butter knife). He butterflied it about 1/4 in from opposite sides and left a large cube of meat in the middle. Unfortunately I did not notice this until I got home. My wife thought i had purchased hamburger meat. I have generally had a good experience when shopping at Publix, but this was a disaster.

The fresh food bar is one of my favorite things about the store, and their produce is consistently some of the best you'll find. I also always stop by the deli for their freshly sliced cheeses and turkey. The bakery and prepared meals are excellent too, and everything just feels higher quality than your average grocery store. The Deets: I've gone to this Food Lion off and on for the many years I've been in the Morrisville area, most of the time for little things or to run in quick while I had something else to do in the vicinity of the store. The older of the Food Lion stores in Morrisville, even with the recent updating it still feels pretty dated in look and atmosphere but basically a clean store environment. It definitely gives off a "no-frills" type of vibe. They have pretty OK prices when using your Food Lion MVP card (and definitely get an MVP card, it's easy). You can find most basic items here with no problem but some specialty things I've not been able to find here versus other supermarkets in the area. If you try to compare to other places such as Publix, even Walmart Neighborhood Grocery or Harris Teeter, it just does not have that extra "umph" and with Wegmans now in the area then I'd think they may want to revamp further to keep up. Cashiers/personnel have been helpful and nice in my latest visits and of course they have self checkout as well if you want to go that route. In general for your basic food/grocery run, this Food Lion location can handle it adequately but don't expect a high tier experience.

I've lived in Raleigh for 14 years, and while I've enjoyed a few things from The Fresh Market before, I had never tried their bakery items. When I saw them on the Too Good To Go app, I decided it was the perfect excuse to run out and try it. My first two interactions were fantastic--the lovely elderly woman in the bakery and the sweet cashier checking me out were absolutely amazing and treated me with genuine kindness. However, the front-end manager (I believe her name was Tip or Tiff) completely ruined the experience. Her demeanor was an absolute deterrent. In an interaction that lasted less than three minutes, she hounded the cashier, repeating four or five times: *"Make sure you watch her scan it on the app."* The first time she said it, I thought nothing of it--just standard store process. But repeating it aggressively that many times while I, a Black customer, am just standing there rubbed me entirely the wrong way. To make matters worse, I had also picked up a granola bar to purchase. The manager came over *again*, hounding the girl: *"What are you doing? I have to make sure. Did you actually see her scan it?"* I felt incredibly sorry for the poor cashier, and frankly, I felt targeted. It is deeply frustrating to still deal with people acting like I don't belong in spaces where I absolutely do--and it's even more disheartening when that energy comes from another minority. If I had known I'd be treated with that level of baseline suspicion, I wouldn't have even spent money on the granola bar. That manager's behavior completely turned me away from ever spending my money at this store again. I truly hope this is a lesson for her in how she treats people. To the sweet cashier and the wonderful woman in the bakery, thank you for being decent human beings--I hope you both have an amazing day.

The bartender, Craig, was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. My husband got a beer flight. He really enjoyed it. The cost was very reasonable. They also have daily specials. We sat at the bar and watched sports on the TV and enjoyed the company of others at the bar. Who knew that you could get your groceries and enjoy a drink all at the same place. This is a very nice touch.

The floral arrangements are plentiful and then right behind that is a large area where you can sit at a bar area and actually order a beer and watch TV plus sit at tables and have charcuterie type of food or get other food and just sit and relax while other people are grocery shopping. They also have lots of samples they give out. It's quite the set up more than just a grocery store. The aisles are spacious and the selection is really nice in the store. What I really love about HT is the brand awareness. For instance, if you like Chobani creamer - they carry almost every flavor. This is my go to store for many brands I'm particular about. I can't say that about all the stores in the area.
