Definitely not cheap especially compared to the Aldis not too far away but they have more specific food I'm looking for plus I'm too lazy to remember to bring my own bags with me. They do have good meat here. I always appreciated the banter with the folks at the register/bagging area. However for some inane reason they always give you three million bags even if you get a loaf of bread and some yoghurt. One time I bought little containers of raspberries and they put each container in their own bag. Another time literally every item id gotten was separately bagged. ???? I don't need 12 different bags for 12 items lol. Always amused me to see how many different bags I'd get. Even funnier when they'd double bag a carton of yoghurt. If you know about grocery stores in the Carolinas then you know that Harris Teeter ranks at the top consistently above all others based on footprint. I am a fan of Publix because of customer service, variety, the bakery and the subs, however I will shop here when necessary. This location is usually clean, well laid out and the customer service at the front desk is good but they tend to have problems with doing Western Union. However, where they lose points is the aisles are smaller and tend to be crowded when stockers are stocking shelves. If you ask for help, they simply say they don't know or just tell you the aisle number. The bakery is decent, mediocre and quite frankly, I don't buy bread here. The meat department is great with a wide variety of different meats and the seafood is decent as well. Another positive is that the shelves tend to be fully stocked so they maintain a solid three stars. Overall, this Harris Teeter is on par with other locations and they do many things well but mediocre customer service, lack of a full bakery and small aisles makes this a 3 star review. read more

While my wife and I were getting groceries, I asked the lady at the Deli for four pounds of turkey and to separate each of the four pounds. Right then I had an attitude from the lady. When she completed slicing the four pound of turkey she started to bag the four pounds into one bag. Once again I asked her to separate each pound. Again the attitude. The two ladies were complaining about how tired they were and other things. so, she bagged the pounds separate. Then I ordered two pounds of ham, and ask her to do the same with the ham. she didn't say anything. When she handed the full two pounds in one bag, I knew her mind was just not into her job. I told my wife, we have trouble at this deli all the time. Bad attitudes, smart comments, and I have to listen to all the workers problems they have at work as well as how tired they are. Get some sleep, go to bed at a earlier, leave your problems in the car outside, and learn better PR to your customers. I told my wife this Harris Teeter is getting bad. I say that every time we're there. It's time we change Harris Teeter. read more

I visited this grocery store on July 11th 2023. This store overprices everything. I could get more of something from the Walmart across the street for less money. There were also regular flies AND Fruit Flies on their fruit. I have a picture below. Overall, I would not recommend going grocery shopping at this grocery store. read more

When we first moved here, HT had a long way to go in terms of freshness in the produce section. I'm so happy that there's organic choices.

In spite of the fact that Union County is officially a county with high COVID transmission rates, and NC has mandated masks for ALL individuals in indoor settings, this Harris Teeter store does not post notices at the entrances requiring customers to wear masks. Easily half of the customers I observed this Sunday morning were unmasked. I saw two HT employees with their masks off. When I spoke to the Manager on duty about the fact that there were no notices at the door that customers should wear masks, he started to hem and haw and stated he needed to follow corporate policy. If Harris Teeter / Kroger objects to reminding customers to wear masks I would be surprised ... and happy to take my business elsewhere. read more

This is a well kept store! Always clean. The staff are super nice. Some are scary nice. The food is usually fresh and I've come into less problems here then with any other grocery store chain. I like their wine selection and they are stocked up with plenty of organic groceries! What's not to love! read more

It's Harris Teeter aka HT so it's typical HT with the bread station with various spreads to try, a bountiful veggie and fruit section for your picking along with a friendly staff packing the shelves with the fresh veggies and fruit. I've only had a couple issues here which is normal when you go to the same store all he time. My issues were minor such as missing a bag, opened item, expires item,etc. they were all quickly resolved by the managers. My only incident that really pist me off was a bagged who saw that I was with a newborn and put my bags in my cart and didn't offer to help. I usually wouldn't have cared but I had my hands full and I observed this bagger offer a lady in the next lane to help her to her car and she was hands free with no baby and just 1 or 2 bags. I begin to ask him about helping me and he looked shocked and walked away. I immediately spoke to a manager on my way out and the manager offered to help and I let him know that I was OKAY and just wanted to make them aware (fact is I needed help but being Ms. Stubborn/Independent I refused it at this point). The manager insisted and pushed my cart all the way to the car and discussed the situation and apologized to me. He even had me to get in the car while he loaded the items into the trunk. He is the real MVP and that is the reason this review is 3stars in conjunction with the fact that the staff in produce is so friendly and I love Scott (bread guy). read more

I didn't think I would ever review a grocery store, but this one is great! This is my neighborhood Harris Teeter and it's really the only one my family will shop at. I'm rating it 5 stars because of the employees and the service. The employees are very helpful and when they aren't checking people out at the register, they are standing waiting to help customers check out. Also, sometimes we come across problems with something costing us more than what was stated, and they have always fixed those problems and are usually more generous. read more

I shopped this Harris Teeter and several others for years as an Express Lane customer (pay $100/year for the online shop/pickup service). I used to brag about the service. The service now in unusable because Harris Teeter corporate decided to let everyone use the service...even giving it to some groups for free..with no consideration for the long time users who had PAID for it & made it profitable. I am supposed to be able to use the service with as little as 4 hr notice and as often as I want. Today is Wednesday and I can't even get a pickup slot for NEXT Tuesday (the farthest out the calendar goes). I have checked every store within 30 miles (18 or them) and all are the same. This is a nice Teeter with a good store layout. I am pleased with the deli, bakery, seafood, and other departments at this store. The employees are very helpful here. For example, I was in this store a couple of months back shopping for items for a birthday dinner and wanted to get a fruit tart instead of a birthday cake. The only tart in the case looked a little messy. So, they made a whole new fruit tart for me while I completed my other shopping. It was ready super-fast and I was very pleased with the service and the tart. read more

Cooked to order and those girls will bend over backwards to make it just how you like it...Shallon and Shannon and Gina..they are the best Pizza makers in all the Harris Teeters! The ovens only hold TWO at a time so its best to call your order in. On Mondays ( know as Pizza Mondays) your large 16 inch Pizza is 7.99!! This is for the pizza bar. OMG the best Pizza in Waxhaw. Super great ingredients- everything is perfect. You can customize your pizza however you want, ask for it super crispy and it comes exactly how you want it. Really great customer service. Best staff in pizza, very accommodating and always has my pizza ready on time. I usually get one on Mondays when the pizzas are on sale for $7.99 for whatever I want! This has been my neighborhood store for 8 years and I hate to say with changeover in management and staff, this store has really gone downhill over the past year. They are routinely out of organic produce with no explanation other than they ran out. Manager says he will work to improve but several months later, still the same. I can find all the organic produce items I need in other Charlotte Harris Teeters so I can only assume they don't want to order it. Numerous issues with expired dairy items and when brought to front desk's attention, they act like they don't really care. One positive - young people at checkouts are very friendly and helpful. Forced to do most of my shopping at other Harris Teeters until this one improves or has another change in management that will care to try and bring this store back up to Harris Teeter standards.
