The old rude attitude lady WASN'T AND ISN'T properly trained with manners to be the front face of this business store!!! I wouldn't go back to this even if recommended My car was there for a week and they never got back to me about my vehicle until I called back and asked for an update The old lady not only gave me attitude about me calling for an update but also seemed uninterested to help and HUNGED UP THE PHONE when I wasn't done talking to her. Harrison Auto was highly recommended by my church. I would think that I could trust such a recommendation. Boy, was I wrong! When I called and explained my situation, the customer service rep on the other end of the phone, who seemed nice enough at the time, stated that they charge a diagnostic fee and that it would be applied toward the repair of the car. She also stated that if the repair was less than what the diagnostic fee was, I would only pay that and be on my way. So, I had my car towed to Harrison's. It took them several hours to diagnose the problem. Once they realized what was wrong, they said they would fix it, but it was going to be charged at four hours worth of work because it took them longer to diagnose than they had originally thought. Even though it only took them fifteen minutes to repair, I was going to be overcharged because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car in the first place. WHAT?! When I questioned them about it, a male supervisor, who was rude at this point, said I could either pay for the diagnostic fee and they would fix nothing, or I would have to pay them the diagnostic fee, plus four hours worth of work. In the end, I bit the bullet and had them fix it. When I went to pick up my car, it was parked outside the lot, unlocked! The area isn't exactly the safest place. Why wouldn't they leave it in their yard to keep it safe? Ridiculous! NEVER AGAIN! I would not recommend Harrison Auto to anyone. read more

These guys know auto electrical systems... Sometimes you want to save a few bucks and do it yourself... how many ways can you say 'frustration'?!! No way now days can you diagnose and/or repair auto electronics. Those days are long gone.. You might be inclined to take it to your local or favorite garage but again, the systems are so complex and specialized that you will most likely save money in the long run by just taking here. BEWARE! CROOKS! Came in for an electric issue, was referred here because this business's reputation USED to be very good (different management/workers under 30yrs old)..., let's just put the facts out FIRST visit:: (kept my truck for a couple days) bill $290ish (just changed a couple wires), i opened a credit line and got $1,800 the owner seemed intrigued SECOND visit:: YES i had to return, the problem wasn't fixed, they kept my business truck for two weeks when i came to pick up the truck i was billed $940ish.....WOWWWW REALLY (good thing i have that credit lol) not a surprise........... totally caught me off guard was never gave an idea of how much i would pay, mind you i brought it back because they didn't fix the issue. ((opened another line of credit )) THIRD visit:: , STILL NOT FIXED and now i have a battery drain. The owner said i had to pay for this issue even tho i didn't have this issue before coming to them, so they didn't work on it. FOURTH Visit:: leaving my truck for another two weeks and the owner hands me a $700ish quote (at this point i had a $3,800 credit line lol). FOR THE SAME ISSUE FROM 1ST VISIT!! They have no idea what they are doing. Or they are just money hungry. AT THE END OF THE DAY I HAD TO CALL B.A.R (BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR) AND GET THEM INVOLVED. So now I took The vehicle to a different mechanic and I'm having to pay his fees on top of purchasing a brand new battery because they put in the wrong one. All I got to say is please do not take your vehicles here they will do an estimate and then we'll work on your car and it will tell you that you have a lot of hours of Labor to the car. I had a part on my vehicle that was broken and they said they would fix it for half hour labor. And mind you there their labor is $110 an hour. So I went and found the part on Amazon for $7. And these guys still charge me the whole half hour labor to put it on simply because I didn't have them repaired it for that part that i didnt didnt want them to reapair. So basically if i would have got it rapaired there they would have charged me the half houre to fix it and another half houre to put it since they charged me half houre to put it on mind you I was already paying $1,100 before they put this little part on. read more

Once you have taken your Vehicle to a shop that charged you out the noise and the work was still shotty... you have a fear about others. Well, that was the way I was feeling right as I took my Pick-Up Truck to Harrison Auto Electric. Harrison took my truck in and reviewed what the previous shop had done. Keep in mind the other shop (not Harrison) kept my truck for like three months. So, Harrison is really going behind another shop's work. After about three days I received a call from Harrison and was told progress was being made and that they needed to order a part (a computer which they gave me a discount on too) and it would take a couple more days. I was called on Friday and told my truck was ready and I'm excited and went to pick it up (it did drive a great deal better) and went home. On Saturday the check Engine light came back on and you could imagine I started to worry I was about to go through the same mess as with the previous Auto Shop. So I called Harrison's and was told to bring it back on Monday (I did) and Tuesday Harrison called me again and told me the truck was ready and may I add..I have NOT! had any other problems with my truck. It is running great and Harrison's also took my Truck to the local Emission Testing Center and had the truck Emissions done. bottom line is... Harrison Auto Electric did just what they said they would do and it only took about a week (total time) if there were 10 Stars to give, I would. Harrison Auto Electric has earned my business for all of my Cars, and when something works for me...I stick with it. This place charged me $582 just to diagnose what was wrong with my vehicle! I could have went to Chase Chevrolet, the dealer and only paid $140 for a complete diagnostic! This place is a total RIP OFF! $582 for nothing. Do not go here! I gave them $582 and took my car back just as jacked up as it was when I brought it to them. On top of that, they kept it for almost a week!! FOR NOTHING, JUST TO TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT! NEVER GO HERE! I have had my car repaired here twice now and both times they have not only repaired the car for a decent price but gone above and beyond to make sure I was happy. My most recent example happened yesterday. I had been driving around my VW Beetle for a few months and it had a problem starting every once and a while. At first we thought it was the battery, then the stereo, and just about everything else. I finally figured out after months that when the car wouldn't start that if I wiggled the negative battery cable even though it was completely snug it would start immediately after wiggling around that cable. I took it in to Harrison and explained the problem. They figured out that one of the main power connections in the fuse box had a bad connection and it was actually heating up and melting the outside insulation. They fixed this problem and even rebuilt the wire for the fuse box and all new connections for the battery...it looked amazing when they were done. When I went to leave I noticed that the battery was a little loose...it always had been, even before I brought it in to be fixed. I asked the owner Bill about it...he commented that he himself was wondering why the battery was like that. He then proceeded himself to come out and actually remove the outside cover around the battery and over the course of a half hour or so secured the battery and fixed the outside cover. He took a half hour of his own time to fix something that wasn't a part of the reason I brought it in, but made it so that the whole battery/power system was secure and dependable again. Seriously that meant a lot to me...he didn't charge me for the extra work he did and he didn't even have to help me in the first place. I also had my Nissan fixed here two or three years ago and they did a great job then as well. In Stockton I wouldn't go anywhere else for my car's electric and power needs. In fact when we thought it might be the new stereo that I had put in, the owner of the stereo shop said....well I guess if it's not the stereo and you have exhausted all other options, its time to take it to Harrison. That's a pretty good endorsement in my book. To top it all off, Mike (the owner) told me that if I had any issues with it in the next 12 months just to bring it back and he would take care of it. I went here in 4/2018 for help with a nagging intermittent wiring short in our SUV. Upon replacing the blown fuse the short circuit did not return. While the issue was not resolved I was not charged despite obvious time and effort spent on the task. This company clearly is very honest, has integrity and genuinely cares about their customers / community. Update: 5/18 I returned for same issue. The technician diligently worked on the problem and narrowed it down to a bare wire under the power seat that was grounding out. read more

Called for a quote to just extend some electrical wires in my car and quoted me 150. Ridiculous, I just went to Walmart and bought a solder kit and did it in 10 mins myself. These shops charge outrageous amount for simple work. I would've gladly paid 50 dollars but over 100 to just simply extend some wires? Cmon man. read more

PLEASE PEOPLE BEWARE. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR VEHICLES TO THIS PLACE. I took my car in because I was having trouble with my alarm going off all the time. It was telling me that one of the doors was open "door ajar ". So I took it in. They charged me $556 +$70 more because they had ordered the wrong part and had to re-oder the right one. Well...they kept my car over the weekend and I told Michelle to PLEASE disconnect the alarm system because my alarm was going to go off and it was going to kill my battery. I have a2006 Ford escape hybrid. It has 2 batteries, a electric hybrid battery and your regular standard one. Well.. come Thursday evening, Michelle calls me and tells me what the part for the door was going to cost + their labor coming to $556!!. I was shocked. But I agree. She calls me not even half an hour later, telling me that they had ordered the wrong part. And that the right part was $70 more. I told her, it was fine. She calls me a 3rd time. And asks me "if my car had ever died on me?". I was, " wait what?... No!. I have never had any issues with my car.". Well she goes on to tell me, that when they had taken it out for a test drive, it had died on them on a light and had to push it back to the shop. And that they were getting a code saying low battery system. I asked her if they had disconnected the battery?. She didn't answered me. All she said was that maybe I had a bigger issue with my car. She also told me to PLEASE pick up my car the next day. Because they needed the parking space my car was taking up for 5 more cars that were coming in....oh and did I forget to mention that the part for the door WASN'T getting here for 2 more weeks. They refused to tell me what they did to my car. Why did it die on them. Was it because they left the alarm go off all weekend. And which battery was it. Was it my electric hybrid battery or the regular battery. All she wanted was for me to come pick up the car. Oooh. And she needed me to leave a $370 deposit for the part for the door. Will fool you into thinking they're honest so you keep coming back. First item I had done was done decently, a little pricey. I had the car in for a check engine light and they didn't find what was wrong, so told me to keep driving on it. The next week the head gasket blew and I brought it back to them. I got a second opinion after the diagnosis from another place for $2000 less. When I had the car towed from the yard the owner started trying to hammer it home that it was going to cost a lot to repair, and wanted to know if I wanted to sell the car. Ended up feeling like they purposely avoided a diagnosis the first time to either charge me an exorbitant amount for the extra repair or to convince me I should sell them the car. read more

Would put ZERO stars if possible .. horrible place. I went in to ask if they would be able to fix my car, described the symptoms, and the secretary enthusiastically said they fixed anything electric, and could probably fix my car. They said diagnosis would cost $147, and they would update me on my car consistently. Since the diagnosis was higher than the dealership, I figured their service would be even better. WRONG. I bring in my car, have it spend there nearly a week, having to call in everyday just to check on it, for them to tell me there is no diagnosis yet - they're not even calling me at all. Let me remind you, I'm paying nearly $150 for something they can't even do - get a diagnosis. I tell them I'll just go ahead and pick up my car since it's been a week and hasn't been fixed. They say they'll call me right back, and they come up with "bad cables" as an excuse to fix anything, just so that they can charge me. I get tired of having it there, because every time I go, it's just sitting out on their yard. I go pick it up, and that's when they finally tell me they just haven't had enough time, and too many customers to fix my car. Why would you even accept my car when you've got too many to fix?! Or worse yet, why would you accept MORE cars when you haven't fixed mine? Seems they were just looking for fast money. In the end, I just ended up taking it to the dealership instead, which charged me $132 for diagnosis. They hooked their system to my car's computer, immediately found the problem, and my car was up and running within 2 days. Since the diagnosis price is on par with that of the dealerships', please take your cars to the dealership instead and get a diagnosis before you have it fixed, much safer considering the dealerships have systems and computers to determine what's wrong with your car rather than poking it around until they find what MIGHT be wrong with it. I recently found out that they not only do electric work, but also all auto repair work. So now, I am taking my Saturn to them. They recently installed a car battery and just rectified a problem that I was experiencing with my brakes. Bill and Michelle are the owners and have only the best mechanics working for them. I have taken my 05 Infiniti FX35 here twice now, and both times, they have resolved the issues. One was electrical, this recent time was for air intake. Wonderful people, Michelle is always nice and cordial. I saw a plaque on the wall from SPD about one of their employees who was recognized for assisting in an arrest last year, which speaks volumes about the people that work here. Awesome place to have your car serviced or repaired!!!! I was having a problem with the electrical system in my Honda Accord. It seemed as if I wasn't getting enough current running thru the car and so I called a few shops all of which took a few minutes to listen and then spent the remainder of our conversation trying to convince me to bring it down for a complete system diagnostic test. I was just about to give in to the fact that I would have to pay anywhere from $75 - $300 just to find out what was wrong with my car when I found Harrison Auto Electric in the phone book and thought I would try one more call. Bill, the owner, answered the phone and I briefly describe the problem and asked how much a system diagnostic test would cost. Bill gave me a price that I though was fair but before I could even get the chance to ask about an appointment, he went on ask numerous question about the problem I had been having after which he stated that while he would be ok with doing the requested testing, he didn't feel as though the problem I describe would be a safety problem or leave me and therefore at this point I could end up spending money unnecessarily, trying to figure out the problem. Instead , he thought I wait a few days and keep track of what both me and the car are doing at the very moment I felt something was wrong with the car. This would give him and his employees a better idea what to look at and therefore hopefully save them time and me money. As Harrison Auto Electric is near my work, I stopped in after work the next day to thank him for his time and honesty. We chatted again about the problem and decided to test the alternator which was determined not to be working properly. Made appointment for next morning and dropped off the car. They offered to drive me to work and pick me up when car was done. Car was finished that morning for a great price, which includes a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty, and now runs great! Sooo happy to have taken my Honda to Harrison Auto Electric and it was a real pleasure to have met Bill and his wife. read more

I had to put 5 stars so everybody could read this I had my car worked on an it worked perfect but the thing is the day I went to pick up my car they just gave me keys an asked for money well a month an a half later my radio goes out they didn't work on that that's my problem no problem they installed a silencer device to fix the problem I initially took to them an placed a bigger fuse I never knew until my radio went out I didn't see any of this before I put the radio in I mentioned it to them they acted like they were clueless put me on hold several times an said 160 to figure what's wrong I asked about my warranty she said it has nothing to do with what they worked on I took the car because it was blowing fuses to the dashboard an shifting hard they said all it was a vehicle speed sensor they replaced it but put a bigger fuse for the gauge I told her she said never so I guess I somehow gained knowledge put a bigger fuse an installed a silencer ya right they didn't fix the problem just sent me out I don't recommend this place to anybody not honest at all an they just want money people now a days r not honest just want business if she would had said I can plug my machine in your car check it if it's the same issue I will gladly repair ir not right away say it's your problem an put me on hold over 30 minutes if anybody can refer me I'm on a budget I spent over 700 for them to give me a run around never again anybody please don't come here read more
